To Robin Drezmir says, "I understand that, and I'm not expecting you to try binding them now. Let them decide what they want first."
When the captain speaks up, Drezmir sighs, "I asked Robin to do it because I trust him more then I trust myself at the moment." He laughs humorlessly, throwing his arms out to his sides, "Do you think I look like this every day? No, this is new to me and I don't like it. I didn't want to kill ...Thomas. I was trying to knock him out, get him out of the fight, not snap his neck." He shakes his head, letting his arms fall to his sides, "If you want just one of us to deal with you, and you don't trust Robin, then let the paladin do it. I trust Gilded to do what is right, and you heard him just now, he will not harm someone who is unarmed." He lets out a breath, "If you really want me to accompany him I will, but I don't think it is necessary. I trust him."
He looks to Gilded, "Does that sound reasonable to you?"
Then he looks back down at the guards, "I am not arrogant enough to think that I am worthy of this...Dawn Blade. Nor do I condone plundering, so that weapon hold's no interest to me. My companions may think otherwise though, so I will leave it up to them to decide if they want an answer. All I want to know is where Simon is. As Gilded said, we will find him regardless of whether or not you tell us, but I would rather get this over quickly with as little bloodshed as possible...on both sides."
Corvus, seeing how his previous statement had affected the men, decides to change tactics. He walks over to Vex. “Enough with the act, clearly I misjudged these men. They are not cowardly fools as I expected. Threats will not get us any more information. Let Drezmir, and perhaps Gilded take care of this. I do not think it wise for Drezmir to hide the four of them without someone to watch his back.”
He’s trying to make it seem like he was making idle threats, even though he really did intend to kill them.
Kocino takes the rope and begins tying up the swordsmen. “Killing them will only make people more wary of us. If you want to murder everyone who makes you mad, do it somewhere else.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
All that were listening to Corvus's deception have this sinking feeling.. He really was going to kill them (nat 1.) The men look at Kocino with confusion pulling away at first as he tries to tie them up. They were on edge from Vex's threat. The captain marches near Gilded and Drez with his men before allow Kocino to tie them up.
"I've no choice but to trust you four. (Kocino,Robin,Drezmir,Gilded.) Either we fight and die or we take a chance on you 4 and be wrong and die." They look to Vex who had made another threat the two other guards avoid eye contact with him as the captain stands in direct eye contact. "If you hadn't you're friends I'd fight you till my dying death breath and you'd get not a word from me.
The captain leans over whispering to Drezmir. Deception
21
Anyone who wants to use perception can. He tell's Drezmir the location of the blade as well as where Simon's location is as well. The guards trust Drezmir to let Gilded hide them. Robin keeps an eye on Vex,Jess,Corvus just in case they would cut these men down before they could be hidden. The captain looks to Drezmir before Gilded went to bound and secure them.
"I'm not sure if you're the monster Simon warned us you were. You may look monsterous and.. I'm still in shock with what you did to.. Thomas I believe you were just fighting. I could be wrong.. But if I were wrong we'd be dead wouldn't we? You have you're information. You may look like a monster.. But you travel with the real monsters. I'd be careful were I you. I've no room to lecture you of course, if anything I am indebted to you four... Robin I can't begin to understand why you fight against Simon but.. If you four spared us.. And say Simon is killing people.. Than.. I will believe you. You don't seem like you want pointless death's. It may explain some towns people gone missing of late... And answer questions I wasn't sure about before. Well.. Whatever lies in store for you I wish you luck."
With that they had followed Gilded out as Robin came to defend the rear of this little group just in case.
OOC
If no one attacks the moving prisoners we can timeskip locking them up and Gilded can return with Robin.
Drezmir looks confused, "Wait...Simon told you I am a monster? How does he know who I am?" He frowns, his whiskers twitching and his ears flattening as he bares his teeth, "Those cultists better not be involved in this."
He sighs, deciding to ignore the captain's comment about his companions, "Thank you, we will do our best to get to the bottom of this. We won't leave Glanzing winds until evil is purged from here."
He watches as Gilded leads them out of the room to wherever he locks them up.
Once that is taken care of, he turns to his companions, "I can't say I like the idea of taking the Dawnblade, or if I really feel that any of us would be deemed worthy of it, but Gwen gave us permission to seek it out. So, if anyone wishes to try for it, we now know where it is. We should go there before confronting Simon."
Corvus shrugs, he makes no move against the captives. No point in wasting energy on them now. They have what they need, let Gilded hide them. Corvus turns to the remainder of the group, "So, do any of you want to look at this Dawn Blade? Or do we want to go strait to Simon?"
Even if Jess rolled a 1 she would surpass the deception roll of 2
The decision having been made to tie the men up and leave them, Jess puts them out of her mind and looks forward to finding Simon. She hopes the others heard what she said about trusting them.
"Just to clear the air," she says again, "I only advocated for killing those guards for our safety, because they'd surely kill us if they break free. The natural order can be harsh at times, and the shark must kill the seal in order to eat. But if you believe the guards will not double-cross us, then I will trust you on it."
OOC So Simon since everyone heard it (nat 1 failed deception lol) Simon is in room 11
The dawnblade is held in a case on floor two in the museum. The cellar they came from into room 1 also has a staircase that leads down to floor 2 if they wish to backtrack and look for it.
"I believe it would be beneficial." Corvus replies, "Even though they say you must be worthy in order to wield it, i think it is worth the risk. Many mistake worthiness for goodness, perfection, a pure heart, but that is not necessarily true. It's just how stories like to portray it. It will likely prove useless to me in the upcoming fight, but if any of you wish to try to wield it, I would at least like to see it."
Robin looks to the group curious of what they'll do, some look like they could use a breather, others seem ready to march forward. Corvus had mentioned worthiness while Robin crosses his arms for a moment lost in thought.
"I agree.. That worthiness can mean many things, however with a name like the Dawn Blade. I'm sure it's connected to the god of Radiance, the god of light light.. Dawn. It was said that is where the Dawn Blade name came from for Simon's family many years ago. If worthiness was simply power, Simon could wield it, he possesses great power and though twisted means.. Has made an impact on this town. I can tell you now, he can't wield that blade. So if I was to venture I think it is about strength of character as well as being worthy. I could be wrong but just in case.. Perhaps someone with a more pure heart should try. Than again though.. Who is entirely pure? I'm not sure besides the stories we all have our flaws yes? Still, I wouldn't suggest someone that stands as an antithesis to light. If that is to make sense."
Robin said looking at his own bloodied hands, before looking to Corvus,Vex and Jess had explained herself. The way of nature she proposed, still Robin had doubts the blade would accept any of those four. Though he didn't like Gilded much someone like him.. Maybe, Drezmir had a good soul but.. So much darkness lurked underneath. What did Robin know about religion or any of that. Old stories, he could be wrong. Hell the Blade could be an empty relic and that's why Simon doesn't use it. At this point Robin just wanted to help them stop Simon.
“The harm is wasting time and possibly more strength that could have been spent reaching and defeating Simon. It’s a gamble. My suggestion is to blitz toward Simon, control the situation, then get the Dawn Blade after.”
I haven't added the 100EXP You guys can unless anyone ask me to do their sheet for them.
Actually after defeating the guards, room 5 is clear. You're in room 5 you can search room 5 with Perception and Investigation and head straight to room 11 if you want.
I looked through the fencers, alive and dead and checked out their swords, did I find anything of value? I will search room 5 to make sure we didn't miss anything.
Are we taking a short break? We can look around while we rest if needed.
"Robin, do you want to check the lock to room 11?"
If Robin agrees, Gilded will position himself right beside Robin on his right. "Vex, want to take the other side of Robin so we can guard the door as it is opened? I know it hasn't been easy for you on the front line, but we need you up front with me."
Everyone tell where they are and I wil update the map above for us going into room 11. :)

Gilded goes to hide the prisoners, not sure where, lol. They are even hidden from me.

”I agree. Give him less time to prepare.”
So on to room 11? Were in room 6, so not far to go.
"Everyone Ready?" Gilded says as he hefts his sword. "Or do we need to take a break?"
