As the day is going on, Solomon would like to be using this time to transcribe one of his new scrolls into his spell book. He will choose Contact Other Plane, which will cost him 10 hours and 250 gold.

Furthermore, after Solomon learns the spell, he will sit down quietly in his room before going to bed. He stays silent while he ritual casts the spell. He breathes slow.

The voice echoes its simple answers throughout Solomon's mind through the night, but a new presence seems to lurk during sleep. It whispers in a strange tongue. The voice that provides answers does not seem affected or even notices the second voice. This alien presence seems to search, as though it searches blindly for the source of an echo.
(Pending any other pre-mission activity, the party is approaching the final stretch to Scalebane Keep. Will need Stealth and Perception checks. Disadvantage for those in applicable armor on stealth, disadvantage for those without darkvision on Perception. Feel free to use any spell support if you have it.)

(OOC: Evelyn's goggles give her advantage on perception checks so with disadvantage cause no night vision is it just a straight roll? let me know if I need to roll again)
Talvus reports no sightings, bur your eyes seem to betray a whisp of something otherwise. It was in the gatehouse, then gone. Perhaps just a shadow in the moonlight?

No issue with Elon's scouting. As it stands, you are about 200 feet from the wall, so it's very visible, but still quite dark. Due to your Elvish darkvision, it is much more clear (effectively dim light due to mooblight for those without darkvision).
And yes, no flying until lvl 8, but Solomon does have a companion who can carry you.

"You should know I'm no good at stealth. I'll do my best to keep from giving away our position, so I'll lay low a bit until it's time.

Is my my father doing well?
Is my village safe?
Are there other relics like this armor?
Is Halen expecting us?
Are these answers the truth?
And then he goes to sleep.

Evelyn will whisper to the others.
"Up there in the gatehouse. Thought I saw something. Be careful there might be an ambush."
She turns to the group, continuing to whisper.
"I've got a new ability if you will allow me to use it. I can take another, unassuming form and scout ahead to see if there is any danger."
"That sounds like a good idea to me. Have a look."
