Dain returned Tandor's enthusiastic greeting with a nod and a genuine smile. "Tandor," he replied in a hushed tone, "It's good to see you too. I'm glad I could join you for this venture." His presence among the group was a welcome one, and Dain appreciated the warm reception. As Tandor offered a brief summary of the situation, Dain listened intently, his keen intellect absorbing the details. The mention of Gilbert, the unseen scout, piqued his interest, and he couldn't help but feel curious about the current situation. "Thank you for the update, Tandor," Dain said thoughtfully. "It seems we've reached a pivotal moment. I'm hesitant to take the lead, given that I've just rejoined the team, but I'm eager to contribute. Before we proceed, could you tell me more about what Gilbert is currently seeing? His observations might help us decide on the best course of action."
"I doubt the wall is climbable, if we want to sneak in a window; at least not without a piton or two. The old owner clearly didn't want too many folks looking in."

"If we're about to go in, I'd like to go in second, try and sneak about and grab whatever engine the artificer was working on. Maybe it controls the golem."
Mixtli would like to look around the room aswell to see if he can find a switch of sorts. He'll run in after the others.

With a firm nod of understanding, Dain listened to Tandor's explanation of Gilbert's observations. The mention of the unseen scout's findings gave him a better grasp of the situation within the lab. It was clear that they needed a well-thought-out plan to deal with the construct. "Thank you, Tandor," Dain replied, his voice measured and thoughtful. "Now that we have a better idea of what we're facing, I suggest we split our efforts. Some of us can engage the construct directly, drawing its attention and keeping it occupied. Meanwhile, the rest can search for any means to disable it—perhaps a control panel or a power source." Dain then turned his attention to his spellbook, flipping through its pages to locate the Alarm spell. As he began casting it, a subtle transformation occurred. A shimmering barrier of magical energy enveloped him, an arcane ward that was a manifestation of his Abjuration abilities. This ward wasn't part of the Alarm spell but was a bonus granted by his class, providing him with extra protection. With the spell completed and the arcane ward in place, Dain looked up at his companions, his eyes filled with determination. "Let's proceed with caution and coordination," he advised. "We'll need to work together to disable this construct and uncover its secrets. Are we all in agreement?"
Mixtli takes his woodcarver's tool from his bag and creates a tiny eldritch cannon. He asks who will be fighting and puts it on one of their backs but not before having it give everyone 8 Temp hp.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mialee opens the door, and if she isn't immediately in sight of the automaton, attempts to take the hide action inside the room- sticking to the shadows, keeping the presumable mess of the lab around her as cover.
As the door to the mysterious laboratory creaked open, Dain's sharp eyes followed the stealthy figure of one of his companions slipping inside. He had always admired their skill at moving silently and unnoticed, and now was a crucial moment for their expertise.
Dain held back briefly, allowing the quickest and most agile of their group to take the lead. In this tense moment, he knew that timing and precision were of the essence. He watched as their companion advanced into the dimly lit space, moving with deliberate caution.
With a silent nod to himself, Dain stepped forward, his armored boots making only the faintest of sounds against the floor. He was ready to follow, prepared to use his own set of skills to distract the construct if needed. His arcane ward, a protective layer of magical energy, was still in place, offering him extra resilience against any potential threats.
As he moved into the laboratory, his focus shifted entirely to the task at hand. The construct awaited, and Dain was determined to contribute his expertise to the team's efforts to unravel the mysteries of this enigmatic place.

"I can see the top of a dusty bookshelf, do you want me to peek over the edge? Hold on..."
"I can see it, it's standing in the middle of the room, looks like a guy wearing armor, but no guy inside. It's turning in a circle, looking around."

Tandor relates Gilbert's information. "Gilbert, do you think you could lead it back the way it came?" He speaks aloud for the benefit of the others.
Looking at them, he says "So, plan?"

"I can try, if that's what you want me to do."

"I can try to have Gilbert draw the construct out of the room. How about we try that and then go in," Tandor asks.

Dain would not be going in stealthy. He wants the attention to be on him, rather than the squishier of the companions.
