Should we knock or even say “hey anyone there?”

.... I am with Thagakh.... shield and Morningstar ready.

If using ram, roll strength check... are you breaking door or window?

"The old druid found shady people around these parts. If Thagakh knocks, they will be prepared and might ambush us.

If Thagakh destroys the door, they will be surprised and if Thagakh is lucky, they might not even be behind the door."

The half-orc aims his portable ram in front of the door. He tramples the ground for a bit and blows air through his snout to get himself in the mood.

He then thrust his portable ram with the might of a wereboar.

Despite the solid blow to the door, it remains shut.  From inside you hear yelling, cussing and then speaking in what sounds like Draconic.

The half-orc puts away his portable ram, he then grips his greatsword and readies an attack beside the door when someone comes out wearing black clothes.

Ian reaches for the ram from Thagakh and gives it a try.

Again the door is rocked to its hinges but does not open.

From inside a voice calls out, “Stop.... what do you want?”

Did I dream it while unconscious or did Thagakh actually eat a dragon? It's...probably not great that that is a valid question... Tyrus wonders.

The half-orc tries to think of a reason and remembers he was wearing a red robe.

"Redbrands are disbanded and Thagakh has no job. Thagakh heard a group of shady people is in this place. Thagakh wants to join your group."

He changes his readied action to jammimg the greatsword when the door opens.

“I have never heard of Redbrands.  My name is Favric.  I am the leader of this group.  We are here because of the dragon.”  You then hear more of the men speaking in draconic. “We don’t want to fight.  Either come with use to the dragon to treat with it or leave us alone.” You hear a little more chatter from inside then silence.

"About that...", the half-orc pauses awkwardly

"You see, Thagakh can't treat the dragon. The dragon is already inside Thagakh's bowels and currently treating Thagakh.

Thagakh can say a bit of poison on the meat gave it a tingly taste that stays on the mouth. Very juicy and delicious, specially the tail. Thagakh gives it a score a 10 out of 10."

Ian shakes his head at Thagakh and readies for the expected attacks.

Angry shouts back and forth from inside the building some in common and some in draconic indicate there is indecision among those inside the building.  For the moment the door remains locked.

The half-orc shouts through the door.

"Just an advice, you should not irritate a person who just killed a dragon, especially Thagakh.

Come out peacefully and Thagakh will hear you out."

The half-orc performs the rite of the storm on his greatsword.

To the rest of our group, “are we killing these guys or just scaring them off?  We can make them leave their stuff and swear to not come back.”

"Thagakh doesn't feel good when taking stuff without good reason.

Thagakh suggest we hear them out why they want to see the dragon before we take action."

“We will come out if you promise not to hurt us.”  More draconic arguing as they await your response.

i really dont see the need for fighting unless we have too,  that being said....

Arafiel steps back to about 20 ft away from building with a  clear view of the door /window 9and some cover preferably)

“We will not hurt you but you must leave this area.  The dragon is dead.  If you need proof, you will need to leave your weapons and we will show you what remains.  Otherwise, those that are willing may leave.”

Armed and ready for what comes out next.
