Since everyone has had their surprise attacks, Durg lets out a primal scream of fury - he almost seems bigger - muscles tightening. (RAGE) He almost seems bigger as he runs up to the Dremora, stopping 10 ft away and swinging his Glaive -
Attack: 9 Damage: 10
Then he flips around the blunt end of his glaive with an additional grunt (Polearm Master)
Durg spins his glaive back into it's harness on his back & breathes deeply, "That's one down. Nice work everyone." HIs black eyes glance over to the slave. "Do we free it? Or should we put it out of it's misery if it no longer has a mind? I sure as hell wouldn't want to be left like that."
"Pity for them." Durg mutters aloud, sort of lost in a contemplative state: "Then what's so special about us that we get to miss all this by being. umm....is this even free? And yeah, so Morlog Bal? the Worm King? Who do we have to go through to get our lives back?"
Looking at Alessa, a little stunned by the questions, she says, "Yeah I know a way. Not sure it'll work though." She ran towards the door, but was stopped by an apparition with the figure of an old man. Dialogue follows: Man: Lyris, can you hear me? Lyris: Prophet? Yes, I can hear you. Where are you? Prophet: Trapped in a cell, unable to move of my own free will. Near the Great Shackle of Molag Bal Lyris: Then there is still hope. Hold fast, master, I'm coming to rescue you.
The apparition fades, and Lyris turns to you. "The Prophet is alive! This is getting better every moment. Look, now I'm sure we'll escape. The Prophet is one of the most powerful people I know. All we have to do is spring him. And, in case you're wondering, both of us were trapped here alive. So, we're not trying to raise ourselves, just you."
"You and this 'Prophet' are alive and are trying to 'raise' us? As in restore us to life? That would be most welcome. Normally, I would be suspicious of such an offer, but frankly, it seems we have no other options at this point. I will follow you and help you find your master," says Alessa.
"I'll follow too, there were a lot of people in life who I'd like to see again. I'd also normally mistrust something like this, but again, it's not like there's anything else we can really do down here. Let's do this."
Lyris smiles, then opens the door to a long, dank corridor. The puddles of liquid on the ground are bright blue, like the torches on the wall. At the end of the corridor is another door. Lyris opens it and crouches.
"Look up ahead", she whispers, "A Clannfear. These beasts have whipping tails and head butting skulls. We can try to sneak past it, or fight it. It's your call"
The arrow pierces the stunned Dremora and he cries out in pain as his right arm pulsates.
Dremora Health: 35
Lyris decides to not attack until the Dremora knows what's hitting him
Teryn, your move
Teryn condenses the fire help on their palm into a ball, and sends it streaking at the Dremora (Produce Flame).

hold up didn't dm say we got feats at 4th?
JESUS ok lemme look at this.
Yes I did say no feats until fourth, but a nat 20 is a nat 20. And it's really low, so I'll let it pass.
Teryn fires a blast of deadly flame, scorching the Dremora
Durg follows up with a debilitating polearm attack
The Dremora falls dead, it's life extinguished.
Everyone gains 113 xp
(I misunderstood you. I can take it off.)
Nah it's fine. What's the plan, y'all
Durg spins his glaive back into it's harness on his back & breathes deeply, "That's one down. Nice work everyone." HIs black eyes glance over to the slave. "Do we free it? Or should we put it out of it's misery if it no longer has a mind? I sure as hell wouldn't want to be left like that."
Stalks-In-Shadows will walk over to the dead Dremora and crouch down, inspecting its body, looking for weak spots for future fights.
He will look up and over to Durg, "If this is a place people go when they die, then what will happen to the slave if it is killed here?"
Lyris looks at Stalks and Durg.
"They're not being killed. They serve as slaves to the Worm King, who serves Molag Bal. They have nothing else. This is their Hell."
She looks onward to the door ahead.
"We'd better keep moving. I wanna get my axe on a few more Daedric bastards."
Stalks-In-Shadows will look to the others before following Lyris forward.
"Who is this Worm King you speak of?"
"Pity for them." Durg mutters aloud, sort of lost in a contemplative state: "Then what's so special about us that we get to miss all this by being. umm....is this even free? And yeah, so Morlog Bal? the Worm King? Who do we have to go through to get our lives back?"
"Lead on, Lyris. You know the way out of here?" asks Alessa.
Looking at Alessa, a little stunned by the questions, she says, "Yeah I know a way. Not sure it'll work though." She ran towards the door, but was stopped by an apparition with the figure of an old man. Dialogue follows:

This is all shocking, I'm sure. What is the plan?
"You and this 'Prophet' are alive and are trying to 'raise' us? As in restore us to life? That would be most welcome. Normally, I would be suspicious of such an offer, but frankly, it seems we have no other options at this point. I will follow you and help you find your master," says Alessa.
"I will follow for now, I long to regain my life and find those that took it in the first place."
"I'll follow too, there were a lot of people in life who I'd like to see again. I'd also normally mistrust something like this, but again, it's not like there's anything else we can really do down here. Let's do this."
"It doesn't look like there's a lot of options, but I'm for anything that gets us our lives back. Lead on!"
Lyris smiles, then opens the door to a long, dank corridor. The puddles of liquid on the ground are bright blue, like the torches on the wall. At the end of the corridor is another door. Lyris opens it and crouches.

What's the call?
"If that thing's on the side of whoever got us into this accursed place, I say no mercy. I want out to get out and I want to get revenge."
