Twig takes this as "he's down there go get him out" and sneaks her way around to go find the old man.

Twig turns the corner to see a guard he begins turning as well to see who is coming his way.

What do you do? You have a split second to decide what to do before the guard sees you

"Actually came down to see if you wanted some coffee. They made a pot of it upstairs." Tilsu raises her mug, "I can cover you for a bit so you can grab a mug."

Tilsu will glance to her side, where Zhernon and Twig are, seeing the guard about to spot the half elf. She casts thaumaturgy, making a sudden sound of a rock banging on the jail cell behind the guard about to spot Twig.

The guard turns to find nothing going on. He looks about the room more vigilant than before with a hand on the hilt of his sword. The distraction was enough for Twig to duck back into Lane 2.

The guard talking to Tilsu and shakes her head "No can do. I have to stay here. Do you think you can get me a cup of coffee?"

Zhernon wasn't expecting the sound either and looks back to see the other guard looking about, takes a cue from Tilsu and walks back over to them. "You heard it too eh? Maybe it's been a while, there's some fresh coffee upstairs. I can sit and watch things for a minute for you if you'd like to get yourself a cup." (Persuasion 15)

"Yes, something strange happened. Be on your guard. Sorry this is not the time for coffee, Even though that would be nice" says the guard.

(He is too suspicious of what happened to leave his post as he takes his duty quite seriously.He would be more receptive once he relaxes)

"I'll get you a cup." Zhernon will turn around once start heading back up to get the coffee for the guard.

"I would but also have to take care of the other guards as well. Asking you two first cause both of you are the farthest in. Once you two got back, we'd get the next pair in the hallway, then the two at the desk." She says, "Besides, me and my partner have to go back out in a short while so we can't do multiple trips back and forth with all these gates."

The female guard says "Alright I'll be back" she heads off to also get coffe

Twig's eyes bulge then she tries to dash back around the corner and into one of the cells.

Acrobatics: 25 (man she's rolling nat 20s like crazy.)

Stealth: 13

There is now only 1 guard among the prison cells in lane 3.

(I think Twig is going to have to steal the keys from somewhere though, right? Well or someone will.)

(Yes twig can steal the keys or lock pick it herself. Also you need a way to do something with the guard in lane 3)

Once the guard passes by, Twig will once again round the corner and look for the old man. She's still got it in her head that they are supposed to be getting him out, so she's going to go try to pick the lock.

Stealth:9 (...and that's what i was waiting for... lol to many nat 20's in a row)

Perception: 22 (guess what... another nat 20! to bad it wasn't stealth!)

Thieves tools: 14 (if she get's that far anyways...)

The guard in lane 3 is still there the other guard left

The guard turns to see Twig "Escapee! guards to arms." He pulls out his blade "Now stay where you are and no harm will come to you"

You hear the scraping of the chair as the guard at the desk also gets up and pulls out his blade

Zhernon will run back, "Hey! You there! Stop!" They will approach Twig and lay their hands on her. "Go get help, I'll hold on to her!"

"Keep an eye on her and check her thoroughly. I'll wake the Warden upstairs" says the guard before dashing off towards the stairs

Tilsu shuts the gate as the guard passes, "We'll keep them in here, go! Check the other rooms!" She looks to Zhernon and Twig, mouthing 'Go fast!'.
