Once outside, Tormod breathes a sigh of relief, but you hear him grumbling under his breath.  Xan, knowing your brother as well as you do, you can see that he's angry.  But before you can say anything to him, you both hear somebody yell out "Hey!  Stone Humper!"

This stops your brother dead in his tracks, as he looks for who yelled.  "What did you just say?"

Across the street and moving towards your group is four men wearing red robes.  The one in the lead has a sneer on his face and says loud enough "You heard me, you  little hairy footstool!  This town belongs to the Redbrands, and you have not paid the Newcomer Tax yet.  Naughty, naughty."  He holds up his finger and wags it while clucking his tongue.  His buddies are all laughing as they advance on you.  "So why don't you give us that bag of gold, and then get out of our town."  

Tormod looks at you, and says "Ah, Xanandis.  This is the dance you've been waiting for, I believe." And then leaps up and headbutts the leader in the face!

OOC: Have you heard from Edel at all?  Is he still interested in doing this?  The manipulation message is because I posted Tormod's initiative code as opposed to Edel's initiative code.  Which is a shame because it was a natural 20 at first. 

No idea.. I guess we will just do the rolls for him

OOC:  Wow,  you really didn't put anything into your dex so you could have a bonus to your initiative,  eh?  Natural 1's will feel that much more horrendous.  But we will try to leave some of them for you to hit when you eventually draw that sword of yours.  LoL,!

OOC:  Just texted with Edel, he's pretty busy today, but will try to post.  I noticed he hadn't levelled up yet, so he may have some tricks up his sleeve that could help depending on how he chooses this level. 

As the right breaks out in the middle of the street, Edel pulls his Rapier out and stabs at the closest Redbrand.

Rapier Attack: 20; Damage: 9 piercing damage

He then disengages and runs to the other side of Xanandis, hoping to avoid any retaliatory attacks.

*Xan has yet to draw his sword but continues to yell obscenities at the Redbrands incoherently*

OOC:  To make things easier, let's label the Redbrands as RB1 to RB4.  RB1 is the mouthy one that was attacked by Tormod.  RB2 got attacked by Edel, and RB3 & RB4 are sanding within 5 feet of RB 1 slightly behind.  Think of it as a semi-circle of thugs around the leader.  With RB2 on the left, RRB3 slightly behind and RB4 on the right.

 Unfortunately the attack misses, as the Redbrand recovering from the headbutt dodges out of the way.

Hey Ive caught up in story. been really busy. ill be on tomorrow night.

The Redbrands retalliate and launch a viscous attack against the three of you with two attacks per thug.

RB1 attacks Tormod:

 The first strike hits and draws blood on Tormod, but the second strike bounces off of Tormod's shield.

RB2 is pissed at getting stabbed by Edel, and attacks Xan to try and get at Edel.

 The first strike wounds Xanadis, but tis only a flesh wound, while the second strike gets stopped by Xanadis' armor.

RB3 will attack Tormod

 The first strike misses, but the second attack draws blood.

RB4 will attack Xanandis

OOC:  Also, I noticed that your Character had on the Platemail and switched it back to the Heavy Chainmail that we started with.  I also noticed that with your chosen Oath, you have Bane and Hunter's Mark.  Both of those are Bonus Actions (which can be done before or after your attack per round).  They are both concentration spells, so you can only have one active at a time.  I would recommend using one of those before you attack (can be posted in the same message, just say you are using a bonus action to do whichever one).  Kinda like this:

I place a Hunter's Mark on RB2, and then poke him with my sword.

I am being lazy, as I could have added in the Hunter's Mark Damage into the first Damage roll, but I'm tired and should be asleep. Anyways, That's there to help. If you choose to use Bane, just let me know and I'll adjust the Redbrand attacks to fit.

Tormod uses his Reaction (to getting hit) to cast Wrath of the Storm on RB3.

RB3 Dex Save: 16

 The RB makes his saving throw, but still gets hit by a bolt of lightning causing less damage than Tormod expected.

Lightning Damage: 5

OOC: I think I will use Bane. Because I'm lvl 3 all 4 Redbands will need to make a saving throw or subtract a 1d4 from their attack roll plus the disadvantage we talked about last night. With those two things working should be able to DPs them down.
