Later that evening as your group passed out in the common room at the end some staying up or restless due to knowing a old friend needs some help, some maybe passed out a long time ago. When it was morning and everyone in the common room was getting kicked to wake up and some of those needing a little bit of splashes of cold water for a little persuasion. The weather outside of this spring morning is quite chilly (37°F) with moderate winds that seems to keep strong throughout the morning. At this time all shops are open and ready for business and the well worn road offering no visible challenges before you.
Kliefam wakes early as he is used to getting up before the sun from living out in the woods. He steps out before everyone is awake and gets to the edge of town to do a short prayer routine to Melora for safe and swift travel on the road in addition to prayer for those who may be in trouble. Then sets back for the tavern to wake his companions and perhaps get a small meal before the road ahead. If any patrons are up in the tavern he may have some conversation with them while waiting for his companions to gather their belongings.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chikao, having turned in early, woke up shortly after Kliefam. After a short stretch and a taking a deep breath of the cold morning air, he has a short meal in the tavern. Noticing many of his companions are still asleep, he decides to wander around town trying to find any miscellaneous information about the road ahead, as well as what the weather might have in store for the party.
Galin, not having to sleep, meditated through the night. Reflecting on what he has done with the past few months he comes to ready to do some good. Gathering his things he realizes he has a shortbow and light crossbow. He takes the crossbow and bolts over to the nearest bower shop and sells them. He then buys 20 arrows. He then proceeds to the leather worker shop to sell his used leather armor to buy studded leather armor. Feeling ready to travel he goes to find the rest of the party.
Chikako buys a simple breakfast of rye biscuts and soft chese for 2 CP. Your knowledge of the road and past journeys on this one know that its a worn down path on the way up but after you make a turn to head down tk steamside it goes from road to wail worn trail. The only new information you gained is that there have been more sitings of wildlife around the road. Probally due to the end of the winter and coming spring. The weather itself doesnt seem to odd and no obvious signs of storms are spotted.
Klefiman sight of the tavern in the morning doesnt seem too odd, people waking up and leaving, or simply eating some bread to nurse their hangovers. Not much ale is bought in the morning, mostly water and goats milk. The only individuals you can see really clear minded in the bar is a older fellow who you remeber people calling him Old Bud, he seems to be cleaning up after individuals and unflipping tables, as well as a female elf you have heard about but never really got to meet. Shes a local herbalist and tea maker using a lot of what the forest has to offer in her remidies and drinks.
I arrive at the inn with map in hand. A sack of oats and dried berries I purchased from the general store at my hip, a delightful on the trail snack I've come to call traveling mix.
Greeting friends! Are we ready to lend aid to the good people of Steamside? I say from the door way rather boisterously.
Kleifam, whose interest had been piqued by the Elven woman, turns to his friend calling in from the doorway. Yes good friend i am quite ready to make our way to Steamside. Kleifam them approaches and softly adds: Tho i won't lie and say i would regret not having atleast a short talk with that Elven lady there. She is quite beautiful isn't she?
The elven lady purses her lips almost in peeved way and turns around from her current meal of simple Boiled eggs and turnip and After looking you up and down a bit she mentions in a harsh tone almost mockingly.
I only talk with those that have something meaningful to say, So unless you bring business or a message you can take your conversations elsewhere. Besides I heard that Firbolgs were quite solitary creatures and tended to stay with their own kind in the woods. Quite strange to see one so comfortable in a town of mixed races. Are you running from something hmm, a desprite wife wanting her husband back perhaps. Though I do remember there is a local one nearby in the woods that helps people out from time to time. Ceremonies as well as spiritual guidance.
After that she idly sips at her water looking between you and your friend for your response.
Kleifam gives the elven woman a fained smile and slowly turns to Jonjavar and places his arm around his back and leans into him and quitely says: Then again, perhaps not. Kliefam then eagerly urges his blue friend towards the door.
Voicing a chuckle at the exchange I move from the door way into the street and look over the map. Seeing that the path to Steamside is rather straight forward I roll it for easy storage in my pack, while I mutter a private prayer to Melora.
Finally Kleifam, we can show Giliam and the people of Steamside the quality of our being.
Waiting for the last of the party to arrive, my patience quickly grows thin. Giliam saved our lives a chance to repay the dept finally arrives, and our response is to dawdle about the morning of our departure.
Growling with a now simmering anger, Where is Vimak? I ask of the others.
Looking around at Jonjavar's remark, Chikao speaks up. I've been out and about for some time since sunrise, and I haven't seen him anywhere. Perhaps he's not coming after all? We could go on without him.
Chikao looks to the group, waiting for someone else to add their two cents.
With a sigh I turn from the town and begin walking. I can't abide someone who can't repay a debt and push thoughts of Vimak from my mind. While walking I recite a quick prayer.
Melora grant me strength to defend the defensless.
Despite my appearence I'm eager to reach Steamside. In my mind a debt unpaid is a mark against my honor, and as far as I'm concerned I have yet to repay Giliam properly.
(Ooc: ill respond soon gonna see if people are still alive. Not gonna hold peoples hands. Those that dont respond within a timly manner will definatly be kicked and those that care will continue.)
Melora grant us strength Kliefam promptly corrects the prayer with a smile. you don't stand alone repaying our friends. However I am glad to see you are eager to get back onto the road.
After his shopping spree Galin started towards the Inn. Getting closer to the in he spots the group outside. Morning, is everyone ready to depart? Wearing his new gear Galin looks ready to go.
Currently the journey will take 3 days at a normal pace, with no stops on the way the food you brought will be all you have. If you depart now and travel with regular breaks it will be about sunset. As everyone departs for the first day the road was quoet and the sun is slowly coming down. Possibly have 4 hours before sleep is requured, you can push for 4 hours at the risk of exhaustion or do anything else with this time you can
Chikao looks around at his fellow party members and pipes up: What say we set up camp soon? I would like to help the people of Steamside as much as anyone, but we won't be able to do anything if we all keel over from exhaustion. Galinhorn and I should be fine with only 4 hours of rest, but what about everyone else?
Down where it's wetter, under the sea, everythings better.
I say as I retire for the evening, yet again miss reciting a passage from Meloras texts.
