OOC: Cinis you still have a bless roll you can add to that Eldritch Blast.
Fayten makes an attempt to disengage from the stumbling yet dangerous zombies all around him. He moves towards Cinis and beyond in order to put as much distance between him and the fiends as possible. While making this attempt he remains aware of his Amazing Hammer and commands it to strike at whichever zombie looks more injured, if zombies can look injuired: Attack: 20 Damage: 11 (type: force, bonus action)
To Cinis, "I need to distance myself from them before they pummel me into submission. We can range attack as appropriate. They are not fast."
Nemean held perfectly still, not a hair moved as he studied the zombies in front of him. His eyes locked with his target. Suddenly, he twitches and then springs forward and bends his body down to slice with his scimitars at the heel of the zombie standing before him.
OOC: If I have this right... The zombie will need a STR save or be knocked prone, assuming my first scimitar attack here is a hit... and if he is knocked prone, I'll get to try to reroll these next two swings since I'll have had advantage. If Nemean doesn't connect with the first swing, he will continue to try to use the trip until he connects, and Nemean would have advantage on any swing after the zombie is prone. AND I think he would get bless on all the attacks roll (or does it just apply 1 per turn?)
The sequencing on this gets a little weird, but I thought it best to roll out most of this now rather than going back and forth a bunch for one turn. Let me know if I messed it up at all.
As he rises from the low strike, Nemean will bring his other blade up with him attempting to slice apart the monster.
Caught up in the frenzy of the fight, and elated in the might the party was bringing to bear against this stinking evil, Nemean continues with another wild hack at the wretched creature.

OOC: Tarok - Yeah, it's taking the previous roll as the critical, if you roll the d4 before the d20 it should handle it better.

Nemean's Advantage Rolls:

Tarok's hefty sword cuts two vicious blows across a zombie, throwing rotted skin through the air. The creature raises its arm for another blow, but is stopped by Cinis's eldritch strike, which blasts by Tarok to land at the zombie's chest, throwing it onto the ground, where it finally stops moving. Fayten scrambles back toward Cinis while his spectral hammer fills in the gap, smashing a zombie's ribcage, but not finishing it. Nemean ducks and cuts low, hamstringing a zombie and knocking it backwards to the ground, bringing his off-hand scimitar in an upwards cut as the zombie falls onto it. A third swing cuts flesh from the zombie's throat as it lays on the ground. It stops for a moment before thrashing around in an attempt to get back up.
Suddenly, the tent flap opens, revealing a stout, red-robed figure with sallow skin, a shaved scalp, and a black tattoo on his forehead. "What is the meaning of this?"he shouts.
Enemy Attack Rolls:

Nemean suddenly turns in time to parry away a strike by one of the two approaching zombies, taking 3 bludgeoning damage. Before he can react, the tripped zombie has recovered and struck the tabaxi's face, dealing 5 bludgeoning damage. The other approaching zombie fills in the gap near Tarok, but the half-orc is easily able to step aside of a couple of reaching hands. While one of the remaining zombies tries to swat Fayten's spectral hammer out of its way, the other two shamble toward Fayten and Cinis, dealing 2 bludgeoning damage to Fayten and 7 bludgeoning damage to Cinis with their grasp. The turned zombies continue to flee, stumbling back into the watchtower.
Round 5 Order: Zombies Players <=====
Tracking: Nemean is engaged in melee with two zombies, one of which is heavily damaged. Tarok is engaged in melee with two zombies. Fayten and Cinis are 20 feet back from Nemean and Tarok, and engaged in melee with two zombies. One zombie is 20 feet away, near Fayten's spectral hammer. Two zombies are turned away, 100 feet away from Nemean and Tarok. The robed man is 40 feet away from Nemean and Tarok, and 60 feet away from Fayten and Cinis.

OOC: Apparently I went a little to lite on the melee build for Fayten. I don't have anything really that works in melee. I need a shortsword and I will pick one up as soon as we next break from adventuring :-) Also question for Barty, I did say in my last post that I wanted to move as far as I could after the disengage. I have a foot speed of 35ft and the zombie's are 20ft speed. I was hoping I could stay out of there range and just use my crossbow or such. It is hard to roll play this without a map I realize and I don't mind being 'stuck' as it were. Just hoping to find a way to contribute.
Fayten again disengages from the zombie that is on him and moves as far as he can in order to stay away from the zombie arms. He finds himself unprepared for the close combat and pulls out his crossbow and puts away his shield as he moves out of range of the zombies. Again as he prepares he makes sure to commands his Amazing Hammer to move closer to him and attack whichever zombie seems most appropriate: Attack: 18 Damage: 10 (type:force, bonus action)
OOC: Sorry, that was a mistake of comprehension on my part. I missed the "and beyond" part of your movement toward Cinis. I'll retcon a bit for the next post as if you had moved the full 35 feet. We do use maps where available but there is not always one available for me to use. Always feel free to ask for clarification if something isn't covered in the tracking or is unclear.
The zombie grasping for Fayten's spiritual hammer gets its wish when the hammer swings forward to meet its forehead. Gore flies, knocking the zombie over, but it slowly gets back on its feet. Tarok's greatsword crunches into bone, but the zombie has not stopped when the sword is wrenched out of its hip. Nemean's first scimitar cuts into the maimed zombie's throat in an identical line. This time, its thrashing ends when it falls to the ground. Circling around Tarok, he twirls, cutting down into a zombie's arm and severing it from its body. Cinis steps back and takes a blow to the chest, taking 4 bludgeoning damage. The zombie's reward is a massive blast of eldritch magic that burns a hole clean through its body. It slows but does not fall.
The robed man glances at the turned zombies fleeing into the tower and rolls his eyes. In unison, the remaining zombies become motionless, then turn and slowly shamble back toward the tower. The man sighs, dusts off his robe, and asks, "I hope you have a good reason for picking a fight with my guards?"
"I don't mean to be pedantic, but it seems to be one of my character flaws. May I suggest that your 'guards' were the aggressors. We were merely trying to defend ourselves. I realize other perspectives exist but we would not have attacked them had they not attacked us." Fayten relaxes a little once the Zombies move away.

Tarok Arcana: 7
For Tarok:
You recognize the man's garb as that usual for Thay, a land far to the east where wizards pattern their flesh with tattoos. The tattoo on the head represent's a wizard's school of magic, though you cannot recall what any of those may be.
"Fair enough," the man says plainly. "They are here to guard me, and I could not have known to call them off, as you did not exactly declare your presence."
Would my character be intelligent enough to connect the dots between him being a wizard from Thay, and him having a horde of zombies at his command, and come to the conclusion that he's a necromancer and probably evil?

OOC: Tarok's conclusions can be your own in this case. Though with a nat 1 on Arcana, he probably doesn't know what necromancy is specifically, but can muster up zombies = bad.
Nemean regally approaches the strange man, with an arrogant strut “My good man, you must know that we are not the first ones your guards have encountered. Many people in Phandalin have been telling tales of a strange man digging up these ruins... and many tell of undead infesting the area.” He boldly steps forward “We hope that you have a good reason for making such a ruckus up here!”
