I have five out of nine but if I get hit one more time I will go down if it is enough. As it is unless we long rest I'll end up using up my spell slots to heal and then all I have left is cantrip that can either deal damage on a failed save or one to stabilize someone automatically.
Can't we revive him? Isn't he just unconscious, making a saving throw each round under 0hp to 'stabalize' (losing one hp for failing). I thought it wasn't until -10hp that you actually finally die. Am I just not familiar enough with 5e rules, getting mixed up with 3.5?
So Telethin should be at -5hp, getting 5 rounds to stabalize before he actually dies. He will be a burden until we get him healed but I don't think he should die that easily IMO
I'm saying to consider him dead as I will no longer be playing him. I left the campaign so he is not even on the campaign page. Sorry if this hinders the game I not only lost interest in him but am not going to be able to handle this campaign on top of others I have already joined beforehand I thought I could but it was to much.
When you reach 0 HP, you make death saving throws. There are no modifiers to these rolls. On a 1-9, you suffer a failure. On a 10-20, you succeed. After three succeses, you are stabilized. But if you get three failures, you are dead. Additionaly, a conscious ally can make a DC 10 medicine check to stabilize you. You automatically gain 1 HP after 1d4 hours.
I suppose better now than months into the campaign. I say we press on with the three of us (provided we don't get wiped by these durn gobbos) until we find a replacement that can be inserted into the campaign where it makes sense.
Yes! That first attack with a lance is wonderful. And Grindal's a heavy weapon fighter, so he can re-roll a 1 or 2 on damage. Unfortunately lances have disadvantage within 5 feet though.

Dang, sorry DarthDrizzt! Looks like you are at 0 HP. :(

Yeah I saw... Well then that is my sign to bow out of this campaign if I can't survive the first combat. Good luck and have fun everyone.

No, I don't play negative HP. He can be stabilized easily and then regain his HP.

That is very unfortunate. :(

It seems we have lost a player. Thoughts on how to proceed? I propose recruiting a new player who I will insert into the game appropriately.

Ok sounds good JJ. So if we reach 0hp our character dies if we fail the stability check?
Sorry to hear Darth, hope to play with you again soon!
Sure, recruit a new player, it's your campaign man :)
So this is how it works:

That's an interesting rage quit :) RIP Telethin

Thanks for clearing that up JJ. Good to know!
I agree with Barty, let's just do 3 until you can fit someone in.
(That lance Barty! Big damage buddy!!!)

Nice going everyone.

I have found a willing player who will be playing an Aasimar paladin. The character will be inserted into the game shortly.

OK, change of plan. Now we have a dwarf cleric.
I will be off wifi for a 24-hour period or so. Don't wait up!
