Prim, you do not see anyone or tanything to fire at yet. The footsteps are not close enough, but you are not sure you have enough time to thoroughly check the bodies. Roll an investigation (INT) or sleight of hand (DEX) check to search the bodies before the other hobgoblins arrive.
Taxidea, are you using a Knock spell? Or simply knocking with your Mage Hand?
Orion, using his passive perception, looks to see whether the door opens inward or outward from the bedroom. [OOC Code requires bedroom doors to open outward]

The door unlocks and falls/swings inward against Orion, having been taken off of its hinges.
Taxidea, as you watch Prim's back, you begin to see some lights getting brighter, as if someone was coming rapidly up some stairs at the end of the long hall, past the closet through which you arrived.
Orion, as you struggle against the door, you notice some motion over by the box containing the Master Orb.

The charred remains of goblins and hobgoblins assault your senses. The smell of burnt flesh and hair stings your eyes and burns your nose as it drifts toward you. Meanwhile, some hobgoblins are able to rally more goblins and send them after you.

Weasel Orion crawls to the head of the bed and peeks over the head board. What can he see of the tantacles/ropes? He is stealthy.
How are we doing with the footsteps? Are they close enough Prim should fire, or do we have time to search bodies for keys?

At the knock, Orion will leap to the floor, drop Wild Shape and run to the door, shouldering it open if need be.

Okay. You pull the hinge pins out, but the door still does not move.

Orion, if you were able to pull out the hinge pins, the door should open towards you.
Prim, you find a key in the pocket of the hobgoblin captain.
Orion tries to move the door off its hinges, using his short sword to pry the edge of the door into the room.
Prim grabs the key and dashes to the door. "I'm Trying the Key!" she says as she turns it in the lock and pushes if it unlocks.
Orion will help balance the door, so it doesn't crash to the floor as Prim opens it 😉
Prim grumbles to herself as she tries the key.
"Watch the bloody door be Wizard Locked and all I've got to open it is Lightning bolt!"
