Khessa gladly takes the opportunity to talk to her gnome friend during the journey! She willingly talks about everything, but almost always tries to include discussions or reflections on the Arcane Arts in the conversation, comparing her point of view with that of the other and, occasionally, taking note of alternative hypotheses to those made by her.
The blonde arcane warrior finds the small bird-like contraption cute beyond reason and compliments the skill of the little builder. Hearing cheerful chirping in the middle of the Underdark infested by Demon Lords almost always brings a sweet smile to her face.
The tall adventuress, if she has the opportunity to hear Vizeran's plans, thinks that the idea of simply approaching Sorcere, counting on being contacted by friends of Vizeran who recognize Grin seems incredibly sketchy... but since she is not an expert in drow customs, she refrains from commenting and leaves the matter to Traydark. He is playing at home, after all... Plus, he already seems to have a lucid and critical approach, in his speech with Vizeran's lackey.
Grin shrugs. "I mean we both know our way around the city well enough, perhaps with that knowledge and your could spell we can get relatively close. I don't know we could, or should, get right to its doors, but plenty of people come and go around there so surely one of the council members will pass by eventually. If someone can send a message privately to them all the better."
Grin looks at Traydark curiously. "When they...appear...you point at them and send a message? I was always under the impression that was a basic spell, but you probably know more than I do I suppose. Failing that, I will make my appearance to them while you stay in hiding. If the worst comes you won't be compromised."
As Grin and Traydark discuss, Katryl is at a bit of a loss for the places they mention. "Should we first just find a place where we can hide out? I'd imagine we all would stick out anywhere in this city. Cover seems good, and we can move when we have an idea of where we're going."
"How was anyone supposed to understand you were talking about some spell you cretin."The noble drow snarls at the insolent guide. Clearly this Grin was not showing the proper respect to a noble. "I assume Vizeran has taught you this basic spell then? If so you could use it to call their attention when you find any of them. Go to the entrance to Tier-Breche, they should pass there. Make contact in whatever manner you see fit and make sure to bring one of the council members to us. Meanwhile we will wait in your secret tunnel near Menzoberranzan."He continues in a firm commanding tone.
"My orders were to accompany you to the city, not walk you in the doors. You watch yourself, outcast." Grin's face darkened with a sly smirk spreading over his lips. "Certainly, I'll find someone." He then turned to dash off into the city streets.
The noble drow scoffs as the insolent guide leaves, then turning to his companions. "It seems our guide thinks he can find and bring someone here that can let us into the wizard's academy in Menzoberranzan where we supposedly will find the grimoire Vizeran seeks. Hopefully we don't have to wait long but make yourselves comfortable and feel free to ask about the City of Spiders." He explains in a calm tone.
Lulu finds a place to sit outside the tower and begins to meditate while they wait. Though deep in silent prayer, her ears twitch and flick towards any noise.
Lulu finds a place to sit outside the tower and begins to meditate while they wait. Though deep in silent prayer, her ears twitch and flick towards any noise.
While Lulu sits in quiet meditation, soft ephemeral whispers brush her mind, soothing and calm. "It won't be long now..." the voice of her goddess wafts through her head like a gentle breeze.
It takes the better part of a day before Grin returns, alone. "They won't leave Sorcere or the area, but they did give me the password to temporarily bypass the wards, and they said they would be on the lookout for us and will do what they can to allow access without interruption. I say the sooner we go, the better then."
The noble drow nods, making himself ready to leave. "Do what you can to look inconspicuous. Menzoberranzan holds many different races, even some humans, but only drow would be allowed inside Tier-Breche and Sorcere."He says to the others, then ready to press on.
Khessa sighs: "I can take on the appearance of a drow, with the help of magic. But it is a magic I cannot use on others".
'Thanks to our dear Vizeran,' the blonde arcane warrior does not say, but thinks secretly, seeking telepathic contact with her weapon 'that might unsettle my mind... But Vizeran, after all, is not a Demon Lord. In his case, perhaps, you, Dawn, will be able to heal me, my friend'.
Horkas rubs his hands together and starts rummaging through his various tools and components. "I have a great disguise! I learned some really unique fae magic that, when incorporated with the proper arcane runes and some makeup, can make me look like almost anyone else!"(Disguise Self) "It lasts about an hour before the effect wears off, but that should be enough, right?"
Katryl watches as Khessa and Horkas diguise themselves magically."I don't really have anything to disguise myself. We'll just have to be discrete and hope I won't draw undue interest."
"Aye, mine as well. An hour and I'll be my big furry self again," Lulu says with a chuckle. Stooping to look at Katryl, the firbolg tilts her head this way and that, morphing into a much shorter Drow woman as she does. "We could do a wee bit of ol' fashioned disguisin'. Dirt on yer cheeks. Some rope around yer wrists to make ye look like our prisoner?" She reaches over Katryl's shoulders to pull up her hood. "Just need to hide that beautiful hair of yers."
"Just don't expect magic like that to stand much scrutiny, but hopefully we will get into Sorcere without that. Let me do the talking and hopefully we can find our way to Gromph Baenre's inner sanctum without incidents."The noble drow says with a small smile.
(It seems we are five drow with a genasi slave/servant who will head over to Sorcere in solid forms then :-)
(Fantastic. Unless you are walking out in the open--something Grin agrees would be a very bad idea--everyone make a stealth check. I would also accept a Performance check perhaps if you are actively trying to divert other people's attention.)

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
(How are you getting to Sorcere then? Walking or by cloud? Or some other method?)
Khessa thinks that entering while looking like drow can draw less attention, this time, than using cloud form.
