The animated statue takes a veritable beating from the party, through magic and force, doing considerable damage to the guardian construct.

It then takes 4 swings at Khessa with it's large swords:

The noble drow keeps unleashing purple beams of eldritch crackling force against the four-armed statue.

Round 2

Khessa becomes the four-armed gurdian's main target, as she wanted, and, thanks to her training, her heavy armor and the blessing earned fron Gurnik in Blindgenstone, she manages to deflects the storm of vicious blows.

"Nice try, Mr Double Arms!" the blonde arcane warrior smiles, striking back with a lunge at the enemy's exposed chest followed by a quick spinning and a slash to the neck "You'll be more lucky next time".

Khessa's Multiattack with Dawn:

The lunge seems to burns deep in the warden's chest, but as it stumbles a step back, the worst of both the lunge and the slash to the neck is in fact avoided.

Khessa clenches her teeth and desperately intones words of power, extending her left hand towards the enemy... and sending four energy darts to ravage her opponent eventually!

With a steadying hand against Khessa's back as she takes the onslaught of attacks, the cleric pulls her gleaming sword from its scabbard. One of the prayer beads glows and the longsword radiates with a vengeful divinity as she slashes down on the construct.

@DM: Should probably be (19/178) because:

It was (72/178) at post 5570 (top of round 2)

Traydark hit with his first Eldritch Blast for 19 damage total at post 5571

Khessa hit with her Magic Missile for 17 damage total at post 5575

So at post 5576 the recap should have probaly been 72 - 19 - 17 = 36/178, instead of 61/178

Lunaria hit with her Branding Smite Longsword attack for 17 damage total at post 5577

So now the enemy should be left at 36 - 17 = 19/178

In Horkas' mind, he's eating fig jam with sourdough bread, watching the fight unfold from above in a comfortable chair with driving orchestral music in the background... =)

"Great job!" Khessa congratulates and pats on the shoulder everyone as usual "Now, we just have to find a grimoire and a gnome... Now  let's take a second look a this drawers..."

The blonde arcane warrior mskes good use of her still active Truesight.

"Use your magic to investigate the area where Horkas vanished." The noble drow suggests, cautiously moving closer to where the artificer disappeared to look for arcane sigils and wards.

Perception: 19

Khessa also looks with attention st that area, after she finishes looking in the drawers. An invisible glyph or rune will be easily spotted.

But if the magical trap is triggered by a different mechanism, the blonde arcane warrior will be unable to find out much...

'But I still have hope to neutralize it,' the tall adventuress ponders, remembering the many spell scrolls collected 'should we really need to'.

There is still nothing found in the desk drawers, and there are no glyphs or runes around the area where Horkas disappeared, just the secret door outline that you already discovered.
