Beshlog scratches his chin thoughtfully as his gaze falls upon a strange metallic amulet that's making a faint ticking sound (here's to hoping I can get a Clockwork Amulet for 50 gold).
"I know it's technically not an armor," the giant says. "But since I'm a wizard I don't really use a lot of weapons or armor unless you count my staff... would a Fernian basalt orb be on the table for my free item? I'm already pretty good at weathering the cold, and I figure it might not be a bad idea to have a way of dealing with the heat to. If not, I think I'd like a Xorian Wedge staff to use as an arcane focus and to spend my 50 gold on this interesting little trinket. Is any of that doable?"
(I hope Dark Shard Amulet is within 50 gp. If not, I'll change the post)
"Can I have this one?" Mirelda was staring at the irregularly shaped small rock wrapped in silvery wires, that underlined its pitch-black colour. She did not know what this thing did but felt its magic ... or maybe its call? She could not say but knew that she wanted it. Badly. "I really like it,"explained she that display of the true definition of "impulse buy". "Can I?"
Mister Blip eyes change for a moment before shaking his head, "Only corps cadets can get a free item and I just checked you over, still got a bit of magic lingering on you from spelljamming. But that amulet actually runs up 75 gold, so best I can do with that voucher is either the orb or staff."
Mister Blip nods to Mirelda, "Alright, I'll just need your voucher for it."
Still not taking her eyes from the pendant as if afraid that it will disappear, Mirelda handed over the voucher and picked up so desired item. "I think it will help more than my crystal with the magic."She immediately took off that old crystal from the chain around her neck and replaced it with the dark rock. "Pretty, is not it?"
With money well spent, Mirelda was ready to continue the tour around the facility.
"My mistake," Beshlog says with a sheepish smile. "Probably should've been listenin' closer, lots of stuff going on first day, ya' know? I guess if I have to choose one or the other I'll take the staff; better for smackin' bad guys with."
The giant takes his new staff and drops the voucher, before trying (and failing) to disappear among the cadets.
"Well that was a mite embarrassing," he mutters to Zaridil. "Live and learn, I suppose."
"Live and learn indeed..." Zaridil whispers back, surprised and irate. "...the Clockwork Amulet can be purchased for a dime a dozen in some parts. Sorry about that, big guy!"
He wanders over to the automaton, inquiring whether they have a Thermal Cube or not.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
The autognome nods, "A thermal cube will run up to 25 gold."
Mister Blip nods towards Warren. He pauses for a moment and then turns to the doors at the back. A golem on a ball comes out carrying a box and it places it upon the counter. Inside the box is a set of plate armor along with a potion in a leather cover.
Mister Blip shakes his head towards Bellona, "Sorry miss, but you're also a spelljammer like your goliath cadet. The shortsword itself goes for 10 but you wouldn't be able to afford the potion as well."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Muck will wait till the others are done walking about the shop inspecting the different work stations and then going over to admire the worker working on the ring.
"That is some really nice craftsmanship, is there a chance to learn of such work as well at the academy, as I do love shiny things." Muck states.
Then he will approach Master Blip and inquire about a Hat of Vermin and hand over his voucher for a potion of healing.
Then Muck will move out of the way and turn his body dark again so no one sees what is inside, as he again moves about the room looking at all the different items.
Muck will keep an eye out for a moon touched dagger and then let his hand ooze out over the dagger and push it into his arm, hoping no one notices.
"I'll take some plate armor for my free item if that's possible."He says after a moment. "And I'll use my voucher on a potion of healing."
"I'll have that as well." Adam nods his head in regard to Warren's choice of items. "Oh, Gleamingif you happen to have any. Would cut down on cleaning time."he adds with a hopefully smile.
Warren accepts the box and smiles when Adam asks for the same thing, "Ah so it is true! Great minds do think alike!"
Stepping away from the group, he removes his overcoat and chainmail, then starts putting on his new armor. After putting the breastplate on, he puts his overcoat back on, then puts the shoulder guards on over the top of his coat. Once he's finished, he picks the chainmail back up and takes it to the counter.
"It's uh, actually to help with some of my spellcasting. Keep a ring on me incase someone steals my component bag." The cadet sheepishly chuckles "But yea, learned it from my ship's navigator."
"We do have the hat, but please don't use it during sims. Tarto shoots the critters and repairing their runes take a bit. But the hat will cost you 20 gold." Mister Blip answers.
As most of the party asks for potions, he pauses once more. Again the golem comes rolling out but this time with just multiple potions. It's followed by a smaller golem as it carries a box over its body. Both contraptions put their cargo onto the desk, the box holding a set of plate armor, Gleaming variant, and the three potions of healing. Mister Blip nods to the party, oblivious to Muck as the dagger enters his body.
Warren smiles, "Well, i was hopin you might have somethin like this." He pulls out an object wrapped in cloth and places it on the counter. "I'd also like to learn how to repair it and actually use it." He unwraps it, reveling a Revolver. "I figured if ya had somethin similar, I might be able to figure out how it works and how to fix this one. Not to mention learn how to actually wield the thing."
"I will have to get back to you about the hat as I only have 10 gold in me, so I guess for the free item can I get a moon-touched shortsword?" Muck asks Blip coming back up to the counter.
Mister Blip inspects the revolver, just checking the outside and inner working of the gun. "Can trade you for a small one but we ain't gonna charge you for training or repair. Repair will take a bit, but I get the feeling you want to learn yourself how to repair it yourself. I can help with that but I won't be able to help with training. Some of our Giff officers and a few others can help train you there."
He holds out a similar gun but smaller in size, about the size of the autognome's hand.
The autognome nods and sets a shortsword onto the desk, "Moon-touched shortsword, here you are."
"Well that's good to hear! I'll take that one, and it will be absolutely fantastic if you could show me how to fix mine. Say how much are those worth? If there's any change, you can put it on Muck's hat. I'd say the chain mail is worth about 75gp. This gun might be around 50? Throw in the hat, and that'll be a fine deal. I don't need the change."Warren smiles at Mister Blip. He's already happy with what he's getting, but if he can squeeze a bit more out of the deal he'll be even happier.

(Fernian Basalt orb = Orb of Resistance (fire))
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

Hi there! I'm a Christian musician based in Canada :)
Warren thinks for a moment, he doesn't really think he needs a new weapon, but some better armor might do him well.
"I'll take some plate armor for my free item if that's possible." He says after a moment. "And I'll use my voucher on a potion of healing."
Bellona muses over the items before making her decision.
”I’d like a moontouched shortsword for the free item and a potion of healing with the voucher.“
Nodding confidently at her choices.

Bellona rubs the back of her head and chuckles.
“Ah sorry about that I missed that part. Just a healing potion for me then!”

He nods, "Tinker sessions will have to be another day and the palm pistol with the hat will be a acceptable trade."
