An Act of Hubris or Guile

Aisha considers how after a day of fighting she was tapped and unable to heal aside from a single channel divinity. "Do you have anything that will aid in healing my allies?"

"Of course I have a variety of health potions from the standerd that cost 50 gp each to the supreme health potion which cost 1500 gp" says Smig.

Kasbis goes up to Smig and says, “I have this leather armor that I’m not using anymore.  Another healing potion might be good, but I was wondering… do you have any magical items that might be helpful?”  He takes out his eversmoking bottle and says “This has been really useful.  Anything else that you have that might be helpful?”

Duncan takes the coin and nods in thanks, placing the pouch at his side. Looking to Kas he says, "Get a healing potion for me while you deal," and then sits down to sharpen his blade and prepare for rest.

((I'll let you haggle and put it all into one purchase if you can get a discount, then Duncan will pay for his potion of course~))

Smig uses his purple tongue to check some items within himself. "Yes I do have a few magic items. They are hard to come by so they are priced accordingly."

All items below cost 300 gp

1. Cartographer's Map Case - sometimes tells you a shortcut to where you are going
2. Feather Token - saves 1 person if they should fall from a great height
3. Cleansing stone - I must say this is a popular item as it can clean clothes and people.
4. Dark Shard Amulet - some say a warlock made this item to allow them to cast spells they do not know
5. Staff of Bird Calls - ever want to hear bird calls and whack people with a magical staff then this is the item for you
6. Moon-Touched Sword - lights up and cleave through those pesky resistances

Smig will take the leather armor for half price.

Aisha considers what's available, "Smig I've never met a merchant quite like you and I look forward to telling others about you, if we were to bundle an order of health potions how much could we save?"

"True the rest of my kin are busy ambushing and eating people. I wanted to be different and now I am a merchant. For standard health potion I say if you buy 2 at full price I will give the 3rd health potion for 34gp" says Smig

Kasbis says, “Do you have any stronger health potions?  What would the cost be?  Here, I’ll trade in this leather armor.  Now please, we need some good deals on this equipment.  Did they tell you what we’ve been through, all of the things that we have done?”  (Kas takes 5 gp from Smig)

Charlie will hand over 134 gp for three health potions, "Thank you Smig, I like your approach to life." She'll bring one of the healing potions to Duncan, "Here you go Duncan, you do take fine care of that blade."

"No as I just arrived and you know as a merchant I cannot sell at a lost. Otherwise I won't be a merchant much longer. Greater health potions cost 100 gp and Superior health potion cost 500 gp. Supreme health potion cost 1500 gp. Of course I am open to haggling if there is a specific item you would like to purchase. Is there any particular item you wish to purchase?" says Smig.

A side drawer extends from Smig's side with the 3 standard health potions for Aisha.

“How much for the Dark Shard Amulet?  I would be interested in that and one of the potions of healing, perhaps.”  Kasbis stands there observing Smig, amused by the creature.

"Well I can give you the dark shard amulet for 200 gp and 34 gp for the health potion. How does that sound?" says Smig

Do you take the deal Kasbis?

Kasbis would like to take the deal, but he is about 10 gp short.  His pride won’t allow him to say this outright so he hems and haws, shifting his weight frequently.  “*ahem*, Uhh, I can’t quite… Duncan, erm, when was that that I loaned you some coin, do you have any left over…”. He says this with a lot of throat clearing and with his back turned to Smig.  

Aisha growing up used to sharing everything pulls out her coin purse and opens it up to Kasbis, "How much do you need Kas? Is it ok if I call you Kas? Anyway take what you need."

Once the coins are given Smig opens another side drawer revealing the dark shard amulet and a standard health potion.

Smig looks to the party "Does anyone want anything else? If not I will take my leave"
