As you all prepare for a morning sleep, the Gnomes get to work dismantling the table and replacing it with comfortable mats on the floor.
On awaking 12 hours later, and hearing Magnus commotion, Likner has them bring the priest to you explaining you are too large to fit beyond these entrance rooms.
As 6 Gnomes bear him in on a stretcher, you can see Kriskrin looks a little better. He has been cleaned and his hands and feet have been splinted and bandaged, though most of his face appears to have darkened with bruises having bruises and his brow is wet with fever sweat.
As Magnus extends his hands and places them on Kriskrin, a gentle green light begins to surround his hands and then gentle over Kriskrin's body. There is a smell of fresh pine and flowers in the air, to compete with the smell of sweat.
Kriskin stirs and begins to mumble "Grisgal" over and over again.
"Goblins," Likner translates, "Surprise. Killed the Rams and off the trail to the Brownwee. Captured me before I could recover. Hurt me, but I wouldn't tell where any are. Hurt me till the sun went away. Twenty, more, maybe more. Bryghe the Younger is their boss, they scout you lives here. Water, so thirsty. How did I get here," Likner finishes as Kriskrin seems to be gaining in lucidity as he tells his tale.
Likner responds to him, indicated you, and speaks to Kriskrin in Gnomish.
"Thank you, my friends," Kriskrin finally responds directly to you, in good but oddly accented common. "It is fortunate you happened this way."
Jordi whistles, "Wow, that was awesome, Magnus! You healed him!"
Listening to the conversation between the gnomes, he says, "This Byrghe the Younger, he is another goblin? And they were seeking information as to the location of this village? Damn, I hope we didn't lead them right to you. Likner, I agree we should keep scouts up and prepare for invasion. We can stay and help defend you if you like."
Magnus says, "Going cross country as we did to escape might have thrown them off that night. In the morning light though, our path through the brush will be very clear. Especially because we were carrying Kriskrin and dragging from exhaustion by the end. If the Goblins were planning to attack you, they know where you are".
Kriskrin: "Bryghe is not a typical Goblin name, so it may be another creature which leads them. Goblins are easily dominated."
Likner: "Do not worry about leading them here. I have sent out scouts and we will be warned if they come close. And I can field many more than 20 Gnomes. But every sword is of value. By tomorrow evening we shall know more of them."
"Would it make sense to... you know, take the offensive here?"Bridger stands, having been quiet for a while. "If these things are invaders, sitting around and just waiting for them to attacks give them the upper hand. Doesn't it?" He points, gesturing outside. "Your people can stay on alert for how long? These things will just wait until you let your guard down. No. No we can't let them, they'll kill your people! And this is on us now too! If they were hostile to your people before, they're absolutely pissed now that we kicked in their front door and took a few of them out. No way they're not plotting how to pillage your settlement as we speak. We gotta act before they do."Bridger seems emotionally charged throughout his little speech, like he's finally come to terms with the earlier violence and is now committed to seeing it through to its conclusion. Maybe too committed.

It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Likner: "Your heart is in the right place, and indeed we may yet attack them. I want to know what else might be out in the area. The Goblins will be alerted, you are right, and we must proceed with a bit of caution. But even a family of..."
Kriskrin: "Family," he shouts in interruption. "There were no broodlings, no females. Just males. They scout or raid!"
Likner: "This doesn't change my plan. It makes it more right to know what they are doing. I cannot stopyou from seeking them out, but it would be poor repayment of saving Kriskrin to let you run into unknown danger. Wait for the scouts to report back. They will have journeyed through the day, will hide for the night and return tomorrow evening. Or even before if the news in bad."
"Very well,"consents Jordi. He will spend the time waiting for the scouts in inspecting the defenses the gnomes have set up. He might look for a bunker or area of cover from which he could fire his arrows while remaining mostly concealed. He will help shore up any breaches in the walls, so that the invaders will be forced to approach the settlement through by the main path.
OoC: I didn't map out Sparharrow, but the rough concept of this Gnome hamlet is that it is a small underground village. The opening is a natural cave that has been bricked off with stone from carving out the village. The original cave has been converted into an indoor livestock area, and this "Big" room you are in. As Gnomes average about 3' tall, doors are only 4' tall and ceilings about 4'6". So, you are pretty much limited to this room. There may be a few other guarded entrances to Sparharrow, but they would not be natural openings.
Seeing that you indent to stay for a bit, the Gnomes convert the area back into a dining hall, bringing in extra cushions and footrests. For Likner & Kriskrin, they bring in overstuffed chairs and footrests, and lay out breads, fruits and dried meats for snacking.
Kriskrin address you, "But you have not said what brought you in search of me? Good fortune surely, but what are Humans doing in these mountains?"
Chris wakes up drained and achy his body no where near strong enough for the amount of physical exertion the group just went through. A bit freaked out, since he got shot and was bleeding out, he remains silent for a while taking in everything. As everyone wakes he methodically cleans the dirt and grime from everything and the cave just to do something using Prestidigitation . Then jumping in a bit manic “That’s just it isn’t it we are not supposed to be here! Hours only days ago we were safe and knew exactly where we were going! Then the whole plane goes haywire and blam! Were dropped in the middle of nowhere no explanation no nothing with wolves! Smerfs! And killer green Umpa Lumpas! This shit is insane! O! And with a cherry on top apparently we can all now do crazy impossible stuff like this(uses Prestidigitation to snuff a torch and relight it)……..” calming down a bit from his tirade he slumps. “I’m sorry. This has all been a bit much.” He moves over to Magnus. “I don’t think I said it and its been a crazy few hours but thanks for saving my ass….I really thought I was a goner.”
Kriskrin looks at Chris with shock and worry in his eyes. "Planes? Smerfs? Umpa Lumpas? I am afraid I do not fully understand. Did you meet other creatures in your travels to get here?"
"Yeah. We ah... we traveled farther than you probably expect. Very far. The people back home never heard of this place before, that's how far." With inarticulate meaningering, Bridger continues "So we're not really sure how we got here either. And maybe also not sure why we're uh..." he pauses to think, forming the questions he has into words seems challenging to him at present. "Not sure why we look like this? Like, why we're in these bodies."He just gestures to himself up and down frantically. "Like I got scales, dude. You see these?"He points to several of the tiny golden scales dotted across his dark skin.

"I agree", Magnus says. "Whoever this guy is -- who's body I stole is hungry. I don't remember food tasting this good back at home. And he has all this hair"! , as Magnus tugs thick ropes into a braid.
"Wait... does this mean that other guy has to take my Physics exam for me! No, he probably just got my other body arresting trying to bring back the dead... like..." Magnus stairs at Chris for a moment, "That really did happen, didn't it"?
As Chris frantically speaks, Kriskrin and Likner start to get visible worried, but at Magnus words, a light begins to dawn in Kriskrin's eyes.
"Some spell has been worked and your spirits have been shifted to the bodies now before us? The magic you can now do is part of the body and not the spirit? You come from far away, but how far? Goblins exists in Kafandyr and I believe all of Ariandyr, and you would know them from legend, even if Humans live such short lives." Kriskrin pauses, taking a deep breath. "Are you from another dimension? Another world?"
Kriskrin watches you closely, then takes a deep breath as his eyes widen in understanding.
"Emselydluyr (EM-sel-id-lur)," he whispers.
Likner looks at Kriskrin questioningly.
"Sylvan myths about the creation of Ariandyr and the forces of Good and Evil. I never really paid attention to them, but it is their beliefs that all life on Ariandyr was called from other worlds, other dimensions, by either Good or Evil."
Chris looks at Magnus “Ya man I’m pretty sure it’s all real.” Then looking towards Kristin and Likner “Where were from goblins, gnomes, and elves are just fairy tales, stories for children, magic doesn't exist or at least if it ever existed it’s now so far removed as to be nonexistent. So as you can probably imagine we’re a bit freaked out here. It all seemed like a fun game and diversion before you wake up in a hospital bed until I took and arrow to the chest.”

Magnus, wakes many hours later and yells out, "Take me to the Priest"!
After gathering a bit to prepare, Magnus casts Cure Wounds on the broken gnome.
