Pick a spot in the circle of footprints or along the sleigh tracks for starting position
Sensing danger Chris casts Mage Armor, while Jordi takes out his bow. Magnus, however, casts a spell which causes vines to sprout beneath the vulture wrapping hits legs tightly, while the Vulture attempts to intimidate you over its prey.
Chris moves within 60ft of the massive bird locking eyes with the creature his Iris flashes silver as an odd intangible air distortion slams into the creatures head. (Casting Mind Sliver Int saveDC:14 Damage if failed: 2 and minus d4 to next spell save.)
As the ghostly, skeletal hand grasps the Vulture. With a final, pained hiss, the Vulture falls from the sky.
While the breast and thigh are edible (if not tasty, when well cooked), contact with any of the digestive system will make it dangerous and inedible, while it is likely the feathers may be of worth to Wizards.
A path through the snow leads down to and back up from sleigh, which was made by many small feet, which something being dragged up from the sleigh. The vulture had been feasting on the remains of two rams, but little remains of them but horns, some fur and bits of mangled flesh. The sleigh has been noticeably stripped of metal parts, and there are two half-sized arrows which are embedded sleigh's side. There is no sign of the Gnome.
"There's no time for that!"cries Jordi, "We must follow the tracks and rescue the priest! Quickly!"and he begins to try to follow the footprints in the snow.
The path is easily followed as it winds its way upward toward the summit. Given the single file and the fact that something is being dragged, it is impossible to determine the number of creatures, though there is an occasional boot print visible and it appears to be of a small foot. As you progress, the melting, slippery snow starts to soak through your boots. As evening falls, you are still following the trail.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Guys, why are you two Russian? As an American... can't we take time for a meal and warm fire"?
Watching them walk away. "OK, fine. I'm on my way."
Magnus grabs some feathers and ties them together with a small length of vine. He marches off in the snow, looking for the herbs and spices that would have gone so well with murdered bird.
When we come to a halt in the failing light, Magnus begins setting up camp. All he can think of is a warm fire and remains of some rations in his pack.
"I'll take first watch"
He pulls out the herbalism kit and continues working.

Chris will collect what feathers he can off the large vulture corpse and follow after Jordi.
