Gor stands up "There were three of them, either lizardfolk, kobold, or dragonborn. They knew right where to go and wasted no time. One stood guard right about there" He points to the top of the stairs "While the other two came here, got the bauble, and left. Perhaps checking downstairs will give us an idea where they escaped...out the front or back or perhaps a window. Drax walk down behind us so that you are not clawing up the floors as we head down" Gor says in a matter of fact manner
Hey old guy, know of any lizard folk that live in this region? Based on your decore and that BA sword yoy look like you've done a bit o huntin in your day.
We also bout to go check out that old grave yard anything we need to keep an eye out for.
Persuasion: 24 on game log. Mostly cause Lucky is insulting
openly insulting =/= 24 on persuasion check... O.o
Feorac gives Lucky a hard stare and says, "yeah, I'd watch out for skeletons. Apparently they aren't staying in their graves like they're supposed to. Also, by the sounds of your friend there, you may want to keep an eye out for kobolds, or lizardfolk, or dragonborn." The old grizzled veteran warrior raises one well-trimmed blond eyebrow in a look of quizzical expression.
Gor and Mills' continued examination of the claw prints shows the perpetrators came in the front door, and exited the same, with zero deviation. Once again adding corroboration to the idea that they came for one thing, and knew exactly where it was.
After leaving Feorac to his morning pipe, the group gathers in the snowy and muddy street and looks around. Drax pops open his draconic mouth and says what everyone is thinking. "So... where to first? Shopping? The blacksmith? General goods? The temple of Light?"
Goraqull stands by and looks at the others wondering how they can think about shopping at a time like this but says nothing. If that's what they decide to do he will follow

I understand that Holy Water, Silvered Weapons and other things may actually be good against Undead, we might find something to aid us in our fight… but agree, I am not “shopping” for a pair of boots… I got those.
Drax, still awkwardly standing in the same spot, ask everyone
“If you are done having your shopping debate….. could we move out of the house? My legs are beginning to get uncomfortable,” he says in am akward, embarrassed tone.
OOC: thank you so much for dragging drax along tem!!!!! I would be so much more lost without you XD :D
Drax eventually decides to move, gently tiptoeing across the floor, as to not scratch the beautiful wood further. He then follows the others shopping, and then begins the trek southwest, behind mills.
”To the graveyard!”
OOC: please pardon me if I’m missing any info- if I am could someone fill me in? I think I have most of it from reading the posts tho.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While shopping, even with a discount, and the benefit of a rather persuasive? Or is it deceptive? halfling to really cut down on the costs, isn't the most heroic of endeavors, a wise man once said, "a prepared adventurer is less likely to be a dead adventurer." So, the group that met the afternoon before in The Silver Feather Inn traipsed about town from the Blackmith Maldrin's Metals, to the Rivu Gryldek in the local Temple of Light, and over to Gorth's Goods, picking up some items they thought might be of benefit. All of the merchants were ready to provide their merchandise at a respectful discount, so it didn't put a large dent into the coin purses that Mayor Bercha had provided that morning, thank goodness. Still, by the time all the shopping was done, it was already midday and Lucky wanted to get another free hot meal out of Aaris before vacating town for the wilderness and a potentially undead filled ancient grave site.
Aaris, was, of course, entirely happy to provide the group hot food and cold drinks, or warm drinks for those that preferred, so at least the group left town with full warm bellies. Mills and Goraqull lead the way out of town, heading southwest, taking time occasionally to discuss the skeletal tracks in the snow.
1, 4, 16
Unfortunately for the trackers, a light snow had begun to fall, and if it kept up it threatened to seriously impede their ability to learn anything from, let alone follow, any footprints or clawprints they would encounter later in the day. Still the group kept moving. As they followed the meandering path the skeletons had taken back to the source, Lucky suddenly piped up out of nowhere. "We need a name, don't you think?"
Everyone turned to look at him with the same strange look, so, he explained. "I mean, all the good adventuring companies and mercenary groups have a name, right? The White Wolves, the Black Skulls, the Red Tusks, Sunswords, Moonwings, I could go on all day. We should have a name like that, shouldn't we?"
Lucky's traveling companion Zanoth was the first to answer. "Why don't we see if our deeds are worthy of a name, before we go assigning one to ourselves. So far all we did was put a few dust-dry skeletons back where they belong."
Hearing his friend's logical reply, and seeing no one else contending it, Lucky dropped it.
By the time the party finally climbed the small wooded hill that overlooked the ancient battle site that Aaris and Bercha had told them about, it was late in the day. Twilight would settle in soon. Cresting the ridge of the hill, the group looked down and saw pretty much exactly what they thought they would, a bunch of churned up earth, and below it, a mass of skeletal remains. Their vantage point provided a fairly clear viewpoint, except for the interruption of light snow that was still falling, across the valley for miles. No smoke, no tents, no wagons, or other signs that anybody was still hanging about. Clearly this investigation was not going to be easy...
While Gor points out tracks to Mills he asks "Do you see any other tracks other than skeletal ones? Someone or.....thing had to cause the skeletons to rise from their graves. We should look for other tracks outside of these skeletons as well...."
Mmm. Wonder if there are any stragglers out there.... I got it Lucky and the Boys for our team name.....eh eh... what cha think.... ok I'll keep thinking. (Muttering) we need something that inspires confidence but fear and rolls off the tounge. Where's Boomi when I need him.....
Well I'm not much help out here I'll keep a look out while you outdoorsy types do your thing.
Lucky pulls out the half empty bottle of brandy and attempts to start a fire. Realizing he has nothing to start the fire with he will take a swig of brandy and scan the area.
If I was going to do a hit and run which way would I go?...
Mills keeps an eye on the terrain. He's less interested in looking for tracks at the moment and more interested in trying to intuit where an ambush might be set, or where someone might watch for a party such as this.
Everyone proceeds with great caution, looking for any signs of life, or undeath for that matter, the might be looking to cause them harm. After thorough searches, of the landscape, sky, and ground by various members of the party, nothing appears amiss, nor are there any signs that someone is laying in wait to ambush them. Because of the continually falling snow, even with his incredible experience and focused attention, Gor is having trouble finding any tracks other than their own, and the deepest tracks left by the skeletons. Zanoth looks around for a bit, and then says, "We've come all this way, might as well head down to the actual grave site."
As their large companion starts moving downhill into the valley below, the rest of the group shrugs their shoulders and follows. Upon reaching the bottom of the hill, the group is confronted with the actual size of the mass grave that once sat hidden beneath mounds and mounds of earth. Two of the mounds have recently been upturned. Upturned is the appropriate word. Here, now, looking at it, it's clear that the skeletons that rose here by whatever necromantic power raised them, pushed their way out from under the frozen earth of their shallow mass graves. Sadly, the group realizes now, that if they had come here yesterday, right after the attack, they may have been able to follow any other tracks that appeared, but with the day's snowfall covering everything in a fresh blanket of icy white powder, that ability is now gone.
Welp this was a waste of time. If that human of a mayor did not stop me from starting the search yesterday this might of not happened... Well that proves it he's the guy. Let's go toss his place.
Lucky looks too Zanoth and Drax for approval or guidance on what to do now.
