William just nods to the tabaxi as he speaks "Does anyone mind bringing me up to speed on what exactly has been asked already? Just so I don't bug people with questions already asked?" he also looks at the food and drink on the tablecurious how to go about ordering food just waiting for his questions to be answered.

"Now it's pretty much anyone's guess. As I said making your own investigations can only help us at this point. People are afraid, this town is very suspicious of outsiders especially now with an influx of prospectors with the rumors of residium being found in the Mooren River! I don't recommend going out to the lake this late but it's worth investigating too," the tabaxi explains to all at the table. "I take my leave now. I've got arrows to fletch and letters to read, " he adds rising from the table and lingering for any last questions.

Anon nods to the tabaxi, then stands as well. “Well no use stumbling around in the dark, I say we hit the hay for the night. At least that’s what I plan to do.” And with that, Anon turns and walks up to the bar. In a softer voice, they speak to Vetta the barkeep. “Is there a spare room I could rent for the night perhaps?”
Chak nods to the tabaxi and moves to stand from the table, his insectiod eyes glancing over each person at the table for several seconds. Reaching into one of the few pouches on his harness, the Thri'Kreen places a few coins on the table. He then points to the half orc behind the bar as if to say it went to them.
"Birds of a feather are always welcome to roost with me for free," Vetta smiles at Anon placing two keys on the counter and winking.
Honor ruffles thier feathers as snow shakes off.
"Fresh batch of news eh?" Honor asks looking at Anon and the party.
"As fresh as it gets around here," Vetta nods still smiling looks at Chak for the coin but shakes her head and thinks "on the house" at the insectoid.
OOC I'll speaks assume all in the guild speaks thieves cant. Basically Vetta us telling y'all that the party has rooms on the guild! Honor us saying new guild members in town.

Casrian (noticing the slight buzz of alcohol in his system) toters towards the rooms, but stops in the doorway as Anon begins to mingle with Honor and Vetta. He knuckles at an eye and wanders over to join them.
"Good evening," he says with a smile. "Anon, I am headed to bed, but Gurdy will take a turn around the town. If I see something, I'll say something."
He turns to include Chak and William.
"Any of you folk are welcome to share my room. I don't snore and I keep my hands to myself. I'll be up for another hour, working with Gurdy. Don't leave without me in the morning. Night, all!"
And with that, Casrian fumbles his way to an available room and sits on the bed. He pulls out Gurdy from her warm hiding place and offers her a few morsels of food.
"I know it's a cold night, Gurdy, but I need you to take a look around for me. I promise to warm you up extra toasty when you get back, but right now I need you to be tough."
Casrian unbolts the window and hurls the unhappy Gurdy into the wintery dark. He closes the window, sits on the bed, and closes his eyes to tap into Gurdy's curious way of seeing the world.
((Gurdy will make several passes above and around the tavern to look for any signs of anything odd, but will not pass beyond 100ft of Casrian. Perception : 16))
After this he will gather her up, warm her up, and go to sleep for the night.
Anon smiles back at Vetta and nods gratefully, taking one of the keys and following Casrian up the stairs. They find the lock matching the key and open the door, letting the slightly enamored man into the room and closing the door behind us. Anon watches Casrian for a bit, curios over what kind of bond he and Gurdy have. When the man lays down on the bed, Anon moves to the other bed in the room and starts to remove their leather armor while quietly praying for the shadows to conseil them for the night.
William sees the party moving towards the stairs and the rooms above.
"Looks like everyone is going to rest. I suggest you do the same " Bazz returns to the table. "Start fresh tomorrow," the black cat adds smiling.
............
The next day the party awakes to find a nearly empty tavern, fires lit, and Vetta with a steaming mug of what smells like coffee which she drinks seated atop the bar. The fiery half-orc nodds as each of you return down stairs.
"Breakfast can be provided," Vetta calls out before sliding off the bar. "Bazz is waiting for you all at his place near the temple of Pelor," she then explains returning behind the bar.

William just smiles as he comes down from upstairs. At the mention of breakfast just walks to the bar “I’ll definitely take whatever you all have and some of whatever you are drinking. I’m sure it’ll be eggs-cellent.”
Upon waking for the day, Anon begins their daily ritual of prayer, spending the next 14 minutes quietly whispering while flipping through a small leatherbound book. when finished, they get up from the bed and head downstairs.
Smiling at Vetta on the way down the stairs, Anon walks over to a bar stool and sits down. Anon has never turned down a free meal "I'd love breakfast, thank you!"
Retro actively: It's far too cold for the bat who within minutes poofs out of existence, back to the fey familiar plane!
Carsian will have to cast find familiar again to recall the bat.
........
A halfing then bursts from the kitchen with a massive tray of food! A pot that looks like bubbling grain based mush, a stack of pan fried bread, a couple of pieces of cold roasted meat, and what looks like a steaming pot of coffee.
"Finally, someone who'll appreciate my morning culinary skills," the halfling man announces eagerly hefting the tray to the bar where it seems a bit challenging to put the tray atop it, which is over his head, but he manages after muttering something and vines grow from his grasp lifting the tray the rest of the way beside Anon at the bar. The halfing then beams at Anon. "May my humble offerings aid you in your endeavors," the halfling man smiles at Anon then nods at Carsian and William.
"Eat then get moving," Vetta calls out still nursing her mug. "Bazz isn't one who likes waiting, " she adds gesturing towards the tray and smiles at the fire in her veins and hair flickers.
Chak had never gone to bed the night before, seemingly keeping busy with his own devices. Mostly that consisted of him quietly chittering to himself as if lost in thought. As the rest of the group reassemble he will stay off by himself as it seemed he could tell there was uneasiness about himself with the rest. As he will only eat meat, moving to the door when he finishes his meal.
Seeing the insectoid moving downstairs Vetta smiles and approaches. Inside his head as well as out loud Vetta begins:
"Here my friend. Had a Kenku friend once long ago that had a lot on his mind too but the gods saw fit to make him silent unless he was mimicking others. I thought you could use this, " the fiery half-orc offers Chak an amulet with design of a two faced humanoid one face laughing the other sad. "You can speak now, out loud if you'd like, " they add looking around at the party before smiling back at Chak. Vetta then leans in offering the amulet. "I'm sure you're a marvel among your people but like myself," she gestures at her fiery form, "you might make the small minded a little nervous. Not the best combination for a fact finding mission, " she winjs at Chak amulet still out stretched.
OOC: Totally optional but I thought it might help. Will compose a homebrew edition if Chak accepts it.

Clicking his mandibles he reaches out and takes the amulet with his prosthetic arm as if afraid to touch it. While magic was known among his people he still seemed to be cautious with that he did not understand. Once it did not seem to harm him he took it and carefully placed it in a special place on his shoulder strap. "The hive conists of hunters so we commicate with the mind speak to not alert prey. It is strange to hear my voice outside of my mind." Chak manages to get out via his mandables, the clacking of them mixing with the voice allowed by the amulet.
Casrian comes downstairs with serious bed head. "Morning, everyone," he mumbles.
He slumps onto a barstool and looks enviously at Vetta's coffee. He pulls out a copper coin and spins it on the bar. "O Lady of the Bar, a mug of your finest bean brew and - perhaps - a fruit tart? Gurdy gets the fruit."
He looks around at the others. "Coffee, then quest."
Once Gurdy is fed and coffee sipped, Casrian pours the rest of the coffee into his waterskin and peaks out the window. ((How's the weather out there?))
Perception: 10 (he's still waking up)
"Things look great. I'm ready to start looking for them clues."
Chak continues his vigil by the door as he waits for the others to finish their morning rituals. As he does so he fiddles with the amulet, making sure to keep it close at hand. He will move to look out a window as he still finds the weather fascinating as it is much different from that which he had lived in while in the homeland of the hive.
