Ulmuur's eye's go wide in shock. It is a Gem Dragon. He's never seen another Gem Dragonborn, let alone an actual Dragon.
To Roland, he'll whisper as he starts to move forward. "It is a Gem Dragon, and it probably can understand what you arer saying. I can try to heal it a little, from a distance."
He will move to the head of the group, staying out of range of the dragon. He will say in Draconic "We mean you no harm. You are safe here." He then repeats it in it's mind. {We mean you no harm, you are safe here. I will try to heal you as well as I can for now.}
He says a single word in Druidic. As he does, a white starlight glows in some of the dragons wounds, healing some of the worst of it.
(23 Insight) She's scared yes but not one to ever just let herself die without a fight. She has taken in a deep breath and has not roared. She has her breath weapon at the ready to attack. It's impossible to tell how close one could get without her unleashing that attack on anyone that approaches. She's tired beyond belief. Not just from the fight but like she's been awake for days at this point. Maybe weeks seeing she is a dragon. Her eyes are darting around in a panicked fashion looking for any escape but she cannot fly. She's also very confused. No idea where she is or even how she got here if you had to guess. She's trying so hard not to show any weakness in front of you all afraid you will slay her and that will be the end of her. A near impossible task with her injuries but she puts up a brave front. Pride perhaps? Its hard to tell.
(12 Medicine) She's a heavily injured female amethyst dragon. She is certainly hiding some of her more grievous wounds from you all. The wings and broken leg stick out the most to you. She needs some heavy duty healing and only something as powerful as a regeneration spell could restore her missing wing that seems to have been torn off her back. Honestly, its a miracle she's still standing at all.
The Gunslinger continues to work the fountain, back and forth between the image of his world and the black dots he finds at Vas. His heart rate rises. His breathing quickens. He fights his breathing to keep himself from panicking over what he sees before he finally forces himself to look away, to rise and step away from the fountain. He reaches up, his hand sliding under his hat, pushing through his hair like he's pushing the thoughts away, and then he takes a deep breath and reorients himself.
There was a roar. He remembered the roar but had ignored it until now. Then he decided to investigate, going to look for the others...
...and found them. Most of them anyway. And the dragon.
Roland stood at the back of the courtyard where the dragon had landed and gazed in wonder at the creature before him. No doubt it had been beautiful once, before whatever had happened. He slowly raised his hands and made a gentle pumping motion while uttering "Whooaa....whooaa now..." a few times.
He doesn't approach immediately as everyone sizes up the situation. He studies the creature and then kneels down, tossing his hat and poncho to the side, even laying his gunbelt on the poncho as he tries to look as small and unthreatening as possible. "Easy now. Eeeasssy. We mean no harm."
His eyes never leave the dragon, but don't meet it's eyes either as he tries to appear submissive. He simply stares at its chest and torso so he can see what it's doing and study its wounds.
"What are we doing with this thing? Anyone got any ideas? I might be able to heal some of its injuries. Anyone else?"

Roland is trying to present himself as not being a threat. Not sure if this is gonna get him killed later or not. Wasn't sure if a roll would be required or not so he's going to try Animal Handling in the same way he'd try to calm a horse so...yeah. Here goes.
Animal Handling:12
As Roland calls out from a safe distance. He wisely doesn't approach the wounded dragon. She is watching everyone and as Roland speaks and Roland quickly realizes that this is no animal but an intelligent creature. His attempts to palcate a wounded creature might have helped all the same. She is cunning enough to understand his actions if not his words. The act of laying down his weapons a far more noted thing by her then anything else. His motions convey a desire to cause no harm but she isn't sure she can trust anyone and replies in
Draconic:
"STAY BACK!!! I WILL KILL YOU!! I"LL KILL YOU ALL W-WITH MY DYING BREATH!!!"
Her voice is angry, scared and everything in-between for such a creature. She sounds strong but there is a slight waver in her voice as she seems barely able to stand let alone fight and threaten. She's not going to last much longer.
Roland grants advantage to the next person to talk and make a persuasion check if they want.

Grabbing the knife, Wil quickly carves off a generous slab of meat from the deer carcass provided. Given the volume of that roar, their "guest" is obviously large, he figures. Placing the food on whatever is handy for transport (cutting board, serving platter, whatever he can find). Wil sheathes the knife and takes the offering, flying somewhat unsteadily out the door towards the sound; likely, his familiar, Luna has already alerted him to the presence of a dragon in the courtyard. Boy, good thing I'm a big fairy right now; this would be tough to manage otherwise, he reflects; his current size making it difficult to manage the smaller utility hallways until he reaches the larger hall.
Arriving a bit late to the party, Wil can only stare in amazement at the injured beast for a moment, watching the druid send what appears to be healing magic it's way, before carefully setting the platter down and flying back a bit. He calls out in Draconic, "So, ummm... welcome? This place is called Sanctuary - least that what it says it is... So, looks like you could use som'thing to eat, mebbe rest and some healin'? This place has a kitchen, can supply you and all of us with plenty to eat; I'm guessin' it prolly has an infirmary, too, don't think we've found it yet. But assumin' you don't plan on eatin' us, I expect we can search out s'more healin' for you..."
To the others, he whispers in common (loudly), "Hey! anybody find a temple or place of healin' in here yet? Yon beastie looks a mite poorly..."

Hearing the great roar, Manira had followed the rest out the front door of the castle, war hammer in hand. Seeing the great beast... she halted in a sort of stupor as the others attempt to talk to it.
Finally broken from the spell, Manira puts down her war hammer and gets down on her knees. Her new size is throwing off her perception of the world a bit and with this new possible threat, she tries to center herself a bit. As the others talk in draconic, she loses exactly what is going on, but can tell the others are trying to help the beast. She looks back to the claw marks on the front door of the castle and wonders if this is the best approach?
She sees the actions Roland is taking, familiar ones like trying to calm a horse, and she decides to do the same seeing she doesn't speak the creatures language.
Animal handling 22
Finally deciding on joining in with the rest of the group, seeing their exit from this impossible place was blocked, and decides to try and heal the great dragon as well. She lifts her hands in prayer murmurs a few words then turns her hands, palms towards the gem dragon as the blue glow of healing is focused on the worst she can see. If she can't see the wound the dragon is trying to hide, then it's leg.
(Not sure if these are still needed, but since asked...but might help where she heals the dragon)
The healing helps as well as multiple people claiming this place is safe. The healing word is a drop in the bucket for the dragon's health but casting a long range healing word at a distance of 60 feet making sure not to get too close and showing no signs of aggression seems to lessen her tension. She hears the folks plea that this is not a place of danger. Norwin assists as well with getting the dragon simply to listen that this is a safe place. She replies:
Draconic:
"Safe! Safe... I'll never be safe again..." In the way she said safe in draconic it doesn't translate to common well. The way it was said safe on the third time she says safe she uses a word closer to meaning saving one's life path or way of life. It's very nuanced and can mean several things. without context you're not sure what she meant exactly. The first two times she said safe in the more traditional way meaning physically safe.
The dragon collapses unconscious after speaking. It's massive head hitting the ground probably much harder then it desired. Whatever strength keeping them up finally giving way to the exhaustion and fatigue they had built up. They are out. The dragon covered in wounds and injuries is still breathing and now is before those who have found themselves in the sanctuary still with more questions then answers. Where did the dragon come from? What happened to them? The dragon sleeps in front of the Hallway of Doors too. That area now inaccessible until the dragon can be moved.
Will is just in time to bring food for the dragon (give me cooking tools check - INT check essentially as you are not proficient). In his enlarged state he is able to bring out a large portion of meat for the dragon. They call out to the dragon just as they collapse from exhaustion. The party is free to approach the dragon. She doesn't seem able to awaken at this time. She was on death's door and the small bit of healing helped to stabilize her but she is still in dire straights. A broken leg, a torn off wing. Slashes and cuts from large claws cover her body. One wound seems particularly fatal on her side and it seems most of the healing magic when to helping that wound heal and recover more then anything else. If they want they can leave the food near the dragon but they are certainly not eating anytime soon.
Manira is the first to approach and begins to heal the dragon further. Her prayer flooding over with magical faith and spiritual presence seeming to heal more of the dragons wounds. Even from two magical spells the dragon is still heavily injured. The lifeforce of the dragon so strong and the wounds so great on such a creature. (medicine 12) Manira gets the sense she could cast her magical spell of healing a dozen times and it might heal half of the damage done to this dragon. One thing she is certain of though is that the dragon is not waking up anytime soon. (14 Insight) She doesn't how long this dragon was fighting or how long its been awake but the dragon is definitely unconscious and not waking up anytime soon. Probably only fresh pain would wake it if anything right now.
Clearly, Will needs to ; a.) sober up, and b.) practice more in the kitchen. Good thing Sshe's sleeping, now - he will head back to the kitchen, to see if he can do any better, and get some instruction from the kitchen. Before he heads back, he tells Luna, "Keep a watch on her; if she wakes up, let me know. Thanks!"

If your boyfriend asks you to join his game, he really likes you ... and also, he needs a healer.
she's lying on the door circle right? could we adjust the size to make her more manageable size to take to the forest room? 🤔
It's a good thought; I think the the door symbols suggested that they only worked on sizes between small and large, but that's not to say they might shrink something larger, or incease something smaller. But how would we get her through? Or do you just need to touch the threshhold, not cross?

They need to pass through the door to be resized once a size is chosen. You can certainly try to push them through it you want. They are size huge so they would just barely fit if heading in straight on. At this time they have collapsed sideways blocking the door. They will need to be turned and then pushed through the doorway to make them smaller.
Ulmuur runs up to the Dragon as it falls. He's not sure what he would have done if he got there in time, he would have been crushed if he tried to catch her. He looks her over with Manira, checking on her wounds. "She is out of dire straights, but she needs help. This place must have an infirmary or something."
He looks at the majestic creature in from of him; at his kin, his progenitor. In Draconic, he will whisper to her "Rest now, we will do what we can. I promise, I will do what I can to make you safe again." (Using the same word for safe that she used).
He will conjure some Goodberry and place them on top of the pile of meat by her head. Then, he will use Druidcraft to make flowers of purple, green, white, blue, and yellow bloom around her, trying to make her more comfortable.
To Manira, Ulmuur will say "You can heal, yes? I can somewhat, but it is not my specialty. We should look for supplies! Maybe kitchen will know where to look? Quickly now." With that, he will head to Kitchen first to ask about an infirmary. If Kitchen doesn't help, he'll start searching for one.
Goes and grabs one of the large sheets that was in the crate and a bucket of water. She'll go to work cleaning along the torn wing. "If we could get her through the doors and shrink her it would be a lot easier to care for some of these gashes. She definitely was against some strong ones. There was a room at the top of the stairs that would be a perfect place for her to rest."
Roland remains quiet as the others work, contemplating how to assist. He is amazed by everyone's medical knowledge, and their abilities.
"I am unfamiliar with your world, but clearly you are all from orders as exquisitely trained as the Gunslingers of Gilead. I am impressed."
He moves gently, leaving his weapons and so forth behind, and goes up to help Norwin wrap sheets around wounds and clean them with water.
"I could size myself up, I suppose, and pull her through the door. Then shrink her down, then size myself. If you would, Lady Norwin, could you explain to me what she said? I am proficient in many tongues, but not the one she speaks."
Norwin blushes slightly at the honorrific of Lady. "I know how to do some field triage. Hopefully there is something in there that can clean and heal these better, because this wing wound is bad. She doesn't fully believe she'll ever be safe. Whatever happened between her and the other dragons was brutal. I haven't seen wounds this bad before. Then again forest fairy dragons tend to not be so..." she spreads her arms wide to indicate the immense side of the dragon. "If you think you can get around her for us to resize her that might work best. It's the only idea I have to get her out of here and inside without waking her."
She makes sure that the wing is bound enough to keep from squirting any more blood. "I think that should hold. What do you mean by orders?" she asks Roland as she gets down from the dragons side.
Manira is still in awe of the great beast, but can now breath a little easier that it is unconscious. When Ulmuur talks to her, it breaks her from her mind and she turns to him. "Yes, I can do some healing, but what this creature is in need of is way beyond my abilities. Rest is what this creature needs more than anything."
She starts to get up and follow Ulmuur to the kitchen, when Norwin's comment stops her. "What do you mean, a room at the top of the stairs?"
"Ya, I'm thinking this place adapts to what is needed and there is a room with a forest in it that is much bigger than it should be. It would be a good place for her. " Norwin smiles at the dwarf as she finishes with the wing.
Roland studies the door, and quickly realizes he doesn't remember which way it opened. He rubs his fingers through black hair that hasn't been washed in awhile and then chews on his lip before uttering some curse under his breath.
"Okay, maybe we have to scrap that until she wakes up. Until then, I can do a little something to soothe her wounds."
He slowly begins running his hands over the dragon's wounds, doing what he can with the simple magic he knows.
A woping 3 with Cure Wounds, viewable in character sheet.
When he realizes his magic isn't as strong as he'd like, and not wanting to use up all of his skills while still learning this strange new place, he refrains from using anything else for the dragon at the moment, safe for helping Norwin.
"An order, sai. Such as an exclusive unit of knights. Or sages. Or an group of academics. That sort of order."
Ulmuur's eye's go wide in shock. It is a Gem Dragon. He's never seen another Gem Dragonborn, let alone an actual Dragon.
