The Call of Lon-Dia

Jacob stays in the hallway with Natasha, skirting to the opposite wall to keep some distance (3 right, 5 up, btwn the two statues), and attempts to open the door north of Natasha slowly with mage hand - he's trying to get a peek into the room without fully opening it initially, and hoping to flush some out through the secret door to the south as well...

Jacob: The door to the north is already open so when you move into position, you can see partially into the room. (The kobolds that used it earlier in the fight left it open.)

Since you won't need to use Mage Hand, is there anything else you would like to do?

Eldritch blast the hell out of it!

Attack: 23 Damage: 6

Jacob: You snipe the kobold with your Eldritch Blast and it drops before it knows what hit it.

Penelope: Two kobolds run out of the secret door and shoot their slings at you, trying to clear the barricade in the middle of the room.

Kobold 14 vs Penelope: Attack: 17 Damage: 4

Kobold 15 vs Penelope (pack tactics): Attack: 18 Damage: 3

                                                                    Attack: 12 Damage: 6

Both kobolds hit their mark and nail you with sling bullets.

Natasha: A kobold (17) comes barrelling out of the door to the north and you put an arrow through it's head.

Jacob: Three more kobolds come into view and attack you with their slings.

Kobold 18 vs Jacob: Attack: 7 Damage: 5

Kobold 19 vs Jacob (pack tactics): Attack: 23 Damage: 5

                                                               Attack: 10 Damage: 6

Kobold 20 vs Jacob (pack tactics): Attack: 13 Damage: 5

                                                               Attack: 12 Damage: 5

The three attacks from the kobolds are enough to overwhelm you, knocking you out.

Natasha: You hear someone running in the room above, but you can't see anything.

You hear a second set of foot steps and see a human push his way through the kobolds to the north. He draws his longbow and sends two arrows at you.

Scout 2 vs Natasha (multiattack): Attack: 8 Damage: 4

                                                             Attack: 6 Damage: 3

The first arrow hits, but the second misses you.

 Stone, you're up.

Stone runs out of the room to the spot below Natasha. As he passes the barricade he hurls one of his remaining javelins at kobold 14.

Attack = 18

Damage = 6

"Hold in their Jacob. I'm coming for you."

Before succumbing to his wounds: "Picked a helluva a day to quit sniffing glue..."

Stone: As you make your way towards the knocked out Jacob, you fling a javelin at one of the kobolds behind the barrier. Unfortunately, the throw goes wide.

Penelope, you're up.

Penelope will cast ice knife at one of the kobolds(#14).

Attack: 15 Damage: 5

Both need to make Dex save DC:13 when it shatters. Taking 7 cold damage on a failure.

Penelope will then step out of the room, moving toward the other side of the door. If she can close the door she will, if not don't worry about it.

Penelope: Your Ice Knife darts through the air and nails the kobold squarely in the chest. It explodes into deadly shards of ice.

Kobold 15 Dexterity Saving Throw: 22

The other kobold is able to duck out of the way of the lethal ice shrapnel.

You run out of the room and shut the door.

Natasha, you're up.

"That man... we've got to get him and pump him for info!"

(Natasha breaks out the Blowgun and uses one of the Darts to try to knock him out.)

Attack: 12 Damage: 7

Natasha: Your dart bounces harmlessly off his leather armor. He gives you a cocky smirk.

Jacob, make a Death Saving Throw.

14 - holding on by the tiniest thread....

You all hear the sounds of climbing and running coming from behind the door that Penelope just shut.

Natasha: A kobold runs around the human to the north and into the hallway. It fires its sling at you.

Kobold 18 vs Natasha: Attack: 21 Damage: 4

The sling bullet flies harmlessly over your head.

Stone: A second kobold joins the first and it fires its sling at you.

Kobold 19 vs Stone (pack tactics): Attack: 7 Damage: 9

                                                              Attack: 13 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

You lift your shield and the sling bullet pings off it.

Penelope: A third kobold exits the room and fires its sling at you.

Kobold 20 vs Penelope (pack tactics): Attack: 18 Damage: 5

                                                                    Attack: 18 Damage: 4

You side step and avoid getting struck by the sling bullet.

(OOC: I labeled Jacob's death saving throw scores above his character.)

You all hear a second set of foot steps running behind the door behind Penelope, but the door remains closed.

The human standing to the north looks at you all and smiles. He turns to Natasha and says, "You'll have to do better than that if you want to catch me, love." He blows her a little kiss and takes off running to a door across the hall. He opens the door, runs into the room, and leaves the door open behind him.

Stone, you're up.

Stone will run over to where Jacob is lying on the ground and lay his healing hands upon Jacob's inert body, healing him for 1 hp.

Stone: You run to Jacob, kneel over him, and place your hands on his chest. The two of you shine with a radiant glow for a second. When it fades, Jacob is alive and awake.

Penelope, you're up.

GASP  - "Good god, man, that was a dark place - thank you kindly!"
