Eylfwhich direction are you jumping and are you aiming for maximum range?
Mechanically you would be doing a spell-assisted standing long jump meaning you could triple your 8-foot range (for a total of 24 feet) but since you can't see where you're going or what's ahead of you I'd rule you'd need to land using acrobatics at a disadvantage either way.
In other words: tell me which direction you're going and then roll acrobatics again. I will take the lower of the 2 numbers (with your first roll of 16 being one of the rolls).

( She's headed in the direction of the sound, she knows not to touch the 'blight' but is pretty sheltered and doesn't really conceive how dangerous it is.)
Athene, you go in the opposite direction of the lake and are now at the boundary of my map (which means there is nothing but unsullied land beyond its border). You can either go back up, go down, or veer in the direction of the lake. The updated map is here. Let me know which direction you're going in and whether you want to make it assisted with a perception check or not.
Eylfyou launch yourself upwards with a jump spell, recklessly hurtling toward the sound, and make direct contact with a tree, which might be a good thing because it stops you from landing directly into a large pool of the black stuff. With a 10 in acrobatics, I rule that you are unable to steady your landing and fall a bit backwards, landing on your butt.
Without being too meta about it--what do you think your tail does in a situation like this? Does it land under you or does it splay out? I ask because there is a very strong possibility that your tail juuuuuuuust grazes the mold but I want to make sure I am really getting your dimensions before making a ruling here.
Your new map is here. I'll figure out whether you get mold on you and then tell me which direction you want to go, and whether or not you will assist movement with a perception check.

Several inches of the tip of your tail land in some ooze. The sensation is immediate: it's as though you've dipped your tail in a harsh, acidic substance: it burns. Not terribly, but insistently.

Eylf did not like!
She instinctively raised her tail and craning her head spat acid onto the residue on her tail.
Athene sees that the dragonborn is heading towards the lake. She retreats from the mold, heading up and to the left, before circling back towards the sound.
Eylf, the sensation of the acid you produce naturally blending with the acidic nature of the blight is an odd one but not altogether displeasing. You take 2 points of acid damage, but your tail feels...better somehow.
AtheneI'll have you come back the way you came. Now that you went down enough to check it out, I think it's obvious that that large sections of the way below are covered and potentially too wide for you to navigate. The new map is here.
Eylf you are up against a tree and the sound is coming from somewhere behind it. Further, the tree is mostly sitting in a pool of the stuff. You can either make your way right or left from there. With a 4, I don't think you have a good sense of which is best so choose one:)

Athene circles out, again moving up and to the right, looking for a clear path to the shore. She glances over to where the dragonborn is standing and looks for a safe route for the outsider to walk.
Atheneyou climb back up to where you were, as you remembered seeing relatively more green from your previous vantage point and you seem to be on the right track--just ahead it appears as though there is a thinner section of mold you may be able to jump over. (Here is a map of what you can plainly see/just traveled from....to your left there is more greenery so thanks to your high roll you can keep going that way).
Eylfyou decide to go right but it's slow going. That said, you seem to have some open path ahead of you--map is here.

OOC: Would it be easier to describe directions in terms of north, south, east, west? I feel I'm getting a mixup between my character's left and left on the map.
Athene moves through the unsullied grass, watchful in case there is more mold here. She's moving towards the lake, towards the sound, bow at the ready. Every now and then she glances over to the stranger and points out paths that avoid the mold. ooc performing the Helpaction.
Yes, I am seeing that one of the harder parts of play by post is describing directions for two players trying to meet in the middle from opposite ends! I'll try to do a better job in the writing, and after giving it some thoughts decided to add arrows to your updated maps to indicate roughly where the sound is coming from.
Another thing I am going to remind myself to do is update you on your relative proximity to each other--as right now 30 or so feet separate each of you from the sound, and roughly 60 feet from each other.
Athene, after going down toward the sound for a bit with the lake on your left you realized that the stream of mold was actually getting wider the closer you got so you decided in your last turn to go back up and see if you could cross over it where it seemed to be thinner. Your instincts (aided by that 20) were correct and you are now looking at a stream of mold that is about 3-4 feet wide--very easily jumped. The problem is going to be your landing so please roll a an acrobatics check. Your map is here--the arrow pointing left is where the lake is and the arrow pointing down is where the sound is. I will update these arrows as you go and indicate what they mean in each post.
Eylfyou are in a bit of a tricky spot as you have an uneven path ahead of you that has little bits of mold in it. You ultimately need to go up, and to your left (which is where the sound is). From your vantage point you can see that there is a very thin line of clear space to your left but you would definitely come into contact with some if you were to try to jump there so your best bet is to keep going up for now and hope you can find a more direct route left as you go. Since it's tight though I am going to need you to roll another acrobatics check to see how well you keep yourself on safe territory. Your map is here, with arrows indicating the way of the sound (roughly up and to your left).
