Eron works diligently and with a couple of larger pieces shifted the whole pile moves to one side easily enough to pass through. Moving up the steps Eron immediately finds a trail of blood leading into one of the inn rooms with an open door!
Meanwhile downstairs the party is left to clear the steps fully or reinforce the taverns defenses!

Eron quickly follows the trail pulling a couple goodberries from his pack as he goes. “I’m coming into the room hang in there.” He goes with urgency not scanning or cautious as he sometimes is...
“Nobriki of course, lead the way. I’m good with animals but not so much with people. I’ll help you if I can.” Eron slows enough for Nobriki to join him entering the room.
OOC: Can we see into the room as we approach or is it off to the side or obscured? Perceptiveness isn't exactly N's gig, and neither is looking like he's afraid, but if something is CLEARLY standing out he would toss up his Divine Sense, especially given the situation.
"As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover. You can use this feature 3 times per long rest."

"Oh Titania! The window!" Silf says, realizing she flew through a window to get inside the inn. "I'll go get a look and see if I can spy Apple-Jack, Eron! I can check the window I came in from!"
She flies up to the window to peer out and see if she can spot Apple-Jack or anyone/anything else of note. Once she reaches the glass she peers carefully through it, hoping to get a look at one of her companions.

The room is offset from the head of the stairs and is the only open room.
"I'm...in...here," says the faint voice.
As Nobriki stretches out his divine senses he's bombarded with the rank stench of undead! It is coming from all directions through the broken window which Silf flew through as well as the room with the open door. It's all around him but then he hears it! The faintest tinkling of bells he knows reveals a celestial being!
Flying down the hall away from the party on the stairs Silf looks out the broken window she entered through! She doesn't however see Apple Jack or any of the other party members anywhere for that matter just a couple half dozen more zombies shambling out from the treeline in direction of Turst Fields!
Blair follows others upstairs and hears the faint voice coming from the room. He notices Nobriki's unusual excitement, and can't resist teasing him despite the grim atmosphere. "Exciting? Damsel in distress?" he teases, a playful smile on his lips. "Or is it just the smell of the undead that's got you all worked up?" As Blair follows Nobriki's hooves to the room.
Eron looks towards Silf as she flies past wanting to hear her exclaim in happiness and encouragement that Cal Beryl Navar Apple and the other horses are fine no worries, but the second passes Nobriki motions and Eron stiffly follows a taste of despair spoiling his mood. He nods at Blair.
"Sorry, Eron. I can't see anything except more nasty zombies shuffling around." Silf flutters back down from the window, touching down behind the group heading for the speaker's door. She peers her head around Blair's leg, trying to get a good glimpse of what's going on. Being accustomed to fairy surprises, Silf concentrates arcane power in her hand, ready to cast an eldritch blast, if necessary.
While waiting, she realizes that the floorboard underneath her foot squeaks as she shifts her weight. She unconsciously starts swaying a bit, causing a *creak creak creak creak creak creak creak*. "Nobriki is very excited, Blair. What did he discover?"

Entering the room Nobriki and Eron find a dwarven woman with dark brown skin, adorned dreadlocks, and a amulet of Pelor around her neck. She isn't in armor however but is wearing a blood smeared night dress while holding a gnarled wooden table leg covered in viscera!
"Help...me...," she says before collapsing forward unconscious!
Coming into the room completely Nobriki finds the source of the faint celestial bells coming from the dwarf and the noxious odor of the dead from a zombified woman bound as well as gagged writhing on the floor!
Serveal minutes have passed since Beryl, Cal, and the animals drew most of the zombies away from the inn. Nearly an hour in fact as the party continues to hold up in the barricaded tavern!

Nobriki’s excitement turns to concern as he rushes forward to catch the Dwarven woman. As he wraps his arms around her he instinctively let's the light of the ancients flow into her. Infusing her with 5 points of healing.
"I have you. I have you. It's ok now. There's nothing to fear when the fey are here!" He says, smiling and emphasizing the rhyme.
Silf toddles in after Nobriki, curious after hearing mention of a "celestial." Peering around Eron and the satyr, her eyes widen at the sight of the dwarf and tied up zombie. She subconsciously pokes Blair in the back, and whispers, "Sometimes it's okay to be afraid, especially when zombies invade."
Moving around to look at the zombie from the other side of the satyr, the little fairy narrows her eyes. "I think we should release this poor soul from its undead prison. Strange that this dwarf is in a room with a tied up zombie, very strange. It's too bad my unicorn friend isn't here. It's a celestial, too, and could help us figure out what's going on!"

Gasping for air the dwarven woman, slightly taller than most dwarves the party has ever seen, sits up right with a start.
"I...I thank you," the dwarven woman says to Nobriki looking at the others with deeply curious brown eyes flicked with vibrant gold! "The woman, Dierdre," she explains gesturing to the woman bound on the floor. "She saved me after bandits ambushed me on the road about a week ago. She nursed me after they nearly took my life along with my armor, weapons, and the little coin I had," she explains her tone somber. "I...I didn't have the heart to end her like the others...I," she trails off as she struggles to get to her feet looking shameful. "Is the tavern still clear? Dierdre and I cleared it but I didn't realize she was bitten until the transformation happened," she added with a frown.

Quatt will help to move pieces off the stairs and then use those same pieces to help reinforce the defenses.
Eron quickly follows the trail pulling a couple goodberries from his pack as he goes. “I’m coming into the room hang in there.” He goes with urgency not scanning or cautious as he sometimes is...
"Hold on, you better wait for me too!"
Nobriki huffs as he tries to catch up.

Exciting! Nobriki thinks out loud to himself. He hasn't seen a celestial in awhile!... Or was that ever... Exciting nonetheless!
Assuming the celestial sense was coming from the direction of the room he will excitedly hoove his way to the doorway and motion for Eron to follow.
