Ezid would be hastily running alongside his newfound companions whilst under the effect of his Invisibility spell, maintaining the spell, he surveyed the group as they began to confront the suspicious group of four in-front of them
Ezid, as you run to catch up, you see Mordekai swing a few times at the elf as the elf falls to the ground. But the brush covers the fallen body. You also see Cozubia standing face to face with the Aarakocra, with the birdfolk seemingly surrender. Meanwhile, the other elf and halfling continue to run away as fast as they can.
Witnessing two of his companions engage with the group, Ezid dispels his Invisibility and proceeds to pull out his Lute, strumming the strings top to bottom slowly as he exclaimed in their direction, "Sleep tight, thieves!"Casting Sleep centred around the remaining members of the suspicious party in-front if him. Ezid would be careful in choosing his central casting location as to avoid affecting the Teifling Mordekai, who had just seemingly laid waste to one of the band of suspicious individuals.
A look of glee turns to abject horror as the face of a younger elf is seen. His body stiffens at the prospect of what he had just done. He fumbles for a second, trying to feel for a pulse. He even unhooks his backpack to search for the herbalism kit in the event that he could bring the elf back to his senses, or at least not going towards death door.
As the bird man begins to raise his arms, Cozubia hears his companions start to engage their targets. With a low sigh, he looks at the Aarakocra and says "Now would be a good time for you to surrender." He glances around to make sure none of his companions are coming after the Aarakocra. If anyone is moving in that direction, Cozubia stands between them and the young bird man, hoping to Sarenrae there isn't a repeat of the goblin incident as he does so.
Iefyr will continue running, as he nears close, he launches into a spin, slicing with his sword first, his sickle whipping around after, both strikes aiming towards the halfling.
Sword w/ advantage Attack: 20 Damage: 4
Sickle Attack: 11 Damage: 5
If he lands either strike, he will continue his spin, sending a kick slamming into the halfling, sending him flying off to the side of where they'd been running. Iefyr will bound after him, positioning himself between the foe and the other elf.
Mobile Flourish: 4 damage, moved 5+dmg amount ft
*Retcon - The halfling and elf are not asleep. This happened first.
As Iefyr spins around in. flourish of swings, he strikes the halfling twice and then a final swing on the elf. Both of their bodies falling to the ground instantly. As you look at your victims, you see their bodies, much smaller than when you sliced through them.
The Aarakocra looks over at his other three friends being attacked and falling to the ground.
"Of course," he stammers as his false appearance fades away. In front of you Cozubia, is a young fletchling. An Aarakocra no older than 12. "Please... Please... we were just trying to get some money to start our own adventuring company. We didn't mean to cause this. We just knew nobody would take us seriously since we're just kids."
Looking back to the child, Cozubia says very firmly, "Stay!" Before running off to check on the children that Iefyr took down. When he gets there, he drops to his knees, uttering a low curse in Draconic as he touches the halflings chest, then the elf, spending 5 points of his lay on hands on both of them.

When he gets there, he drops to his knees, uttering a low curse in Draconic as he touches the halflings chest, then the elf, spending 5 points of his lay on hands on both of them.
As you put your hand on each child, you cast some of your divine energy into them. For a moment their body pulls up with the energy but as soon as you take your hand off, their bodies go back to lifeless.
Cozubia watches his efforts at saving the children fail. When they do, he stands up and turns on his heels, facing Iefyr, screaming "Children! They were children!" The grief and anger welling up within him. Unable to contain the emotion, he swings on Iefyr, shouting "What have you done?"
Unarmed attack, fist to the jaw. Attack: 18 Damage: 5
Iefyr rocks back from the punch, dazed. His hand reaches up to his jaw, brushing away blood. Tears stream down his face as he looks back to Cozubia. "I didn't know! I was just trying to catch them I.... even if they were adults I wasn't trying to kill them! I just wanted to get back what they took. I-I didn't know..." he trails off, voice breaking as the tears come faster now and he covers his face, ashamed.
"They did not take! They asked, and we gave!" Looking down at the distraught Iefyr, Cozubia growls and begins to search for the last child to see if there is something that can be done.
Having felt for a pulse, using what knowledge he had in certain revitalizing herbs, Mordekai was mortified. He hadn’t moved. It was his fault that the child was dead, it was his grinning and sadistic face that was the last to be seen. No amount of sewing or punching exercise was going to help aliviate that mistake. He should have held back, let the moment pass. Instead he let it go under his skin and made him fall back into the hole he was trying so hard to climb out of. He should have been better.
Mordekai remains sitting on the back of his legs, the reality of the world now going mute as he... just went numb.
Carmen examines the bag of candy, realization slowly growing. "Wait!" she screams at her companions. Too late as she sees the downed bodies. "I think they're children," she continues quietly, berating herself for her late reaction. "No, no, no..." she tries to shake away her memories. "I TOLD YOU ****S TO SLOW DOWN" She screams, "I just wanted to get the money back..." She joins Cozubia, "Was it too late? to heal them. I mean," she asks him, "We should have just let them go..."
With a slight quiver in his voice his replies, "Cozubia tried, Lady Carmen. It is... too late." As he says this, a wave of saddness washes over him. He turns and looks back to the young Aarakocra. Walking back towards him, Cozubia raises his hands in a calming fashion. "What is your name, little one?"

Walking back towards him, Cozubia raises his hands in a calming fashion. "What is your name, little one?"
The Aarakocra, keeping his hands high in the air replies, "I..I...Irrk." The look on his face as he takes a sideways glance to look at the bodies of his friends.
"I...I'm so sorry about your friends...our companions acted rashly, obviously." Carmen hands him back the bag of candy, "And for any part I had in them chasing down you all...I just wanted to retrieve the coin; I never intended for any of you to get hurt." She looks down in shame. "Do you have family nearby?"
She looks over at Mordekai and Iefyr. Those two are not going last long out here if they continued to be so impulsive, she thinks. They need a talking to.
"Do not be afraid, Young Irrk. No one will hurt you. But Cozubia does need answers." Cozubia slings his shield back over his back and kneels beside the boy. As he does, he glances back to the others and says, "Gather the..." He pauses, not wanting to say bodies. Grabbing his amulet, he continues. "Gather the children. Gently." Looking back to the boy he asks, "Where are you from? Are there healers there? How far?"
