Iefyr looks a bit dejected at the man's dismissive tone. He pulls a single silver out of his dwindling funds and passes it to Tina as she walks past. "Thank you. Also, Tina, would you uh... happen to know of any odd jobs I could do around town? I was relying on my father for work but there's no telling when he'll be back. I should probably try and make some coin in the meantime."
To Tina: "Rabbit is fine, thank you. So game around her is good? I hear there have been some supply issues....bandits? I don't like thieves." She looks around the room trying figure out this motley bunch, asking herself if they could have any part in all this, and sips her cider.
"The game is just fine around these parts. Wayfield provides us with a lot of our produce from their farms. But there have been rumors that they have not been able to ship us as much because some others are starting to take from them."

"Anything being done about this? I might be willing to lend a hand..." Carmen speaks quietly not willing to show her hand quite yet. She tries to discern if anyone is listening.

"I don't know much about what Noril is doing to fix the problem. I am not even sure what the problem is. I just hear what I hear from people passing by. From what I have heard, a group of bandits are strong arming the farmers in Wayfield to give them their crops for "Protection", " Tina explains. "If you're interested in helping, I would go find Noril. He's the leader of the town. You can find him in the central building of town."
*You look around the room to see who may be listening. There are no other people in the room other than Tina and the seven of you. Assuming you are not talking at a whisper, anybody else in the room who is choosing to hear would be able to hear you.
Iefyr turns back to the human. "No! Not at all," he says a bit too defensively. "I'm just... not used to how gruff some humans can be. And yes, I came to Vallerond to work with my father, he's a caravan escort, but he's away working so I'm a little stranded." He turns to Tina again, still waiting on a response to his question, and instead overhears her commenting about some bandits. He knocks back the rest of his whiskey and hops up excitedly, rushing over to Tina and the cloaked stranger. "Evening! What was this about bandits harassing the town? If there's a chance of a little coin in it I'd be very interested in helping!"
Noril... I’ll be sure to speak with him. The blue teifling bites into the meat, now seeing others who may have interest in where he had intended on going. Speaking from his table, he eyes the gathering. I am to be assuming you have fighting experience? When going up against strong forces, it proves to have equal prowess and talent in order to halt gang mentality and numbers.

"There is nothing I need done around here. There is a jobs posting board in the center of town if that helps," Tina replies hoping her answer is suitable.
"Ah, thank you! I'll seek him out in the morning then, and I'll check out the posting board as well." Iefyr turns to the loud blue tiefling addressing him. "Well of course! I'm a Watcher, my people are the finest blade dancers in all of Otora!" He boasts with a grin. "Do you also plan to go after these bandits?"

At Alexander's comment about strange people, Conlaed chuckles to himself. He takes a drink of his ale and glances around the room, beginning to pay more attention to the commotion, and he seems to perk up at the mention of coin to be had.
“Thank you; I will seek him out tomorrow. Looks like there may be a few more interested,” she says as the half-elf approches and hears the tiefling comment.
She lets the hood fall back a bit exposing her crimson skin. Her face is young but her ruby eyes keenly alert. “There is more than one way to fight, cousin.”
Ezid would be eavesdropping in on the conversations taking place a mere couple of tables across from him, the dimly lit table in the corner of the tavern providing enough shade to hide his bag from direct view. Upon overhearing the talk of bandits harassing the town, Ezid muttered to himself in Draconic, "Damn low life Bandits, always taking advantage of the poor, bloody scavengers." Ezid continued to listen on in the conversation without making any eye contact with any of the individuals sat at the banquet table. After all, it was easier for him to eavesdrop than to actually try to engage with the discussion. However, despite trying to stay out of it, the volume of his muttering may have been louder than he anticipated.
The noted twitch in Mordekai's eyebrow at seeing another tiefling and the continued raised eyebrow at being referred to as cousin is all the change in expression he tries to allow. I had intent on going by myself, but is clear that we brave few feel the call to action. He gets up, purposefully passing the banquet table to stare down the human who had taken a vested interest in the conversation, but refused to partake in words just yet. He goes to the table the female teifling sits and stands, his hands held behind his back. If I have permission to sit at table, could we discuss on your proposal on other way to fight, Lady of Shadows. The last words being hissed in the Infernal language.
Cozubia sits quietly by the door, watching the conversation while absently moving the meat around his plate without actually eating it. He takes a quick note of the other patrons and decides to keep a watchful eye on the brash human and the teifling talking about a call to action. He pulls two gold pieces out of his pouch and sets them on the table, nodding to Tina as he does so. As she comes to take the payment he whispers to her, "Be careful over the next few days. Sounds as if a few of our new guests may make things a bit interesting." And as she walks away says in a more normal voice "Thank you, Lady Tina. Please keep the change."
As he watches, he takes stock of the gear he has on him, just in case he has a reason to stand and use it.
*At the heed of Tina's warnings, you take down the second drink... waiting for the alcohol to do its job. A few moments pass and think to yourself "I don't see what the big deal is" as the alcohol does not seem to be hitting you as hard as it might others.
The half elf hovers next to the table, his fingers mindlessly twirling one of his long braids. Not wanting to be forgotten in this conversation, he chimes in again "Uhm, well yes if the three of us all are intending to take up this charge then it would be good to talk about strategy! Did either of you have any ideas?"
As the seven of you have taken a moment to eat, drink, and start sizing up the other patrons in the tavern, you hear a sudden ringing. The ringing of a large church bell chiming. However, instead of a calming welcoming tone, the person ringing the bell seems to be doing so with vigor. The seven of you look at Tina as the only source of information currently.
Upon her normally warm face you see a look of dread and fear. "No...No... Not again. I thought they were gone!" Tina exclaims. She looks around at the seven of you, all more imposing than her. "Ple... please help," she stammers.
Before any thoughts can be made, you hear a commanding voice coming through the open window. "Hurry! Any able bodies who can fight!" you hear being called out. "We live together or we die together."
