Ori perks up at the option for adventure. "I would be willing to help track down those.... marauders. Give them what they deserve for what they did to that caravan."
The white-haired half-breed listens as Ispin's friends quickly offer their services to Lady Becklin. It seemed he would have the pleasure of their company a while longer then. "Yes, I'm in no hurry to leave Vogler, Lady Becklin can count on me to assist in the investigation." He says to Cudgel, then turning to the kenders. "We should notify Lady Becklin of course but then you could perhaps show us to the site of this attack?"He suggests, readying himself to head out.
Wilberforce perks up at the idea of leaving the city. He is keen to get back to the wild. 'Well lad, if it's a wild guide that you are after then look no further. I would be happy to take you back to the site of the attack or anywhere else. Although I'm not sure what more there is to learn there. I could attempt to track the cloaked ones, but it has been some time now.'

"Sir Wyman," Calitynia says to Cudgel. "That's my superior in Maelgoth."
To the others she says, "All great ideas. And it's good so many are willing to help! We should wait to see what news Becklin has for us though. It seemed like she knew of more incidents than just the one Wilberforce and Ori came across."
"Yes, yes of course."The half-breed turns and says to the white-haired solamnic knight as he is about to answer kender something. "Where do you think we can find Lady Becklin and report to duty?" He then asks Cudgel, eager to get going it seems.
Cudgel smiles. "Seems you are all onboard with offering to help. Good! I believe Becklin and her student went to find the captain of the militia. They have a small headquarters near the village circle. Probably the most likely place to find them. I'll go with you as far as the bottom of the hill, there our paths will diverge, but it's just a straight shot for you to the village circle from there." Cudgel leads the six of you down the hill, wishes you luck, waves goodbye, and heads off in the direction of the northern gate of the village. The village circle is east of you, and because the road heads straight to it you can see it in all its festive glory. Colorful banners and paper decorations shaped like kingfishers decorate the crowded village circle. Temporary stalls sell food and colorful crafts, and in the center of the circle, an ancient tree provides shade for happy picnickers.
Calitynia gives a smile to Cudgel, "Thank you very much sir. And safe travels to you." She then turns to the others. "Let's get to the militia headquarters." She immediately starts to head straight in that direction at a brisk walking pace.
Daryan gives Cudgel a nod as the dwarf heads off, then catching up with the white-haired solamnic knight as they make their way to village circle. "I'm sorry about last night, I guess being a half-breed makes me expect others to look down on me. You are absolutely right and I was out of order. Do you accept my apology Lady Catalyinia?" He says in a sincere tone, although somewhat formally, maybe how he would expect a solamnic knight to be addressed. "I am certainly no knight but I will do what I can to help you milady."
Wilberforce decides this is a good point to introduce Pelo to Greeny. ‘Pelo, this is Greeny. He used to belong to Greenshield and now I am going to look after him. Greeny is just in a pot at the moment, I was wondering if you might be able to suggest something that might protect him a bit more and make it easier to carry him around. I wouldn’t want something to happen to Greeny, as Greenshield entrusted him to me.’

Pelobends over to examine the little plant. "What a fascinating creature!" he says. At Wilberforce'srequest, he once again gets lost in his own head, imagining designs for a holder and other uses he could make. He follows Wilberforce blindly, deep in his own thoughts of creation.
"Of course your apology is accepted," Calitynia says to Daryan. "And no title is needed, you may just call me Cali if you wish. And I'm not the one in need of help, we're just both here to help." She gives the half-elf a brief smile, but continues her pace forward.
Ori will follow in the middle or towards the back of the group. Despite her desire for adventure she is always a little uneasy at the beginning of a journey. She hums the melody of Ispin's piece to herself quietly as she follows along with the group.
Shagrin gives Cudgel the name of his regimens Commander then grabs his gear and sets out to the square with everyone else. Seeing Cali take the point position he remains at the back insuring no stragglers get left behind.
"Alright then Cali, I have never worked alongside a solamnic knight before though, nor a kender or a dwarf come to think of it." Daryan says with a grin, glancing around at their small troupe, then trying to keep up with the brisk pace of the solamnic knight.
Wilberforce calls out to Daryan with a smile 'I didn't realise you were so inexperienced lad. Maybe we should be calling you Greeny instead of the plant'. He then turns to Ori and says 'Did I tell you the story of when I first travelled with a half-elf. Well I had just spent a wonderful night in Solace…'

"Yes, well compared to you we would all be greenies I think." Daryan says as he glances over at Wilberforce with a grin. "Hopefully some of that experience and wisdom of yours will rub off on me eventually."
Wilberforce pauses his story and says 'Well if it is experience you be after, then listen up lad' he then continues his story loud enough for everyone to hear.

You make it to the village circle. From a temporary stage, a band of local musicians brings a spirited song to a close. A woman with dark skin and tightly woven locks takes the stage. "Welcome, friends!", she says to the crowd. "Welcome to the Kingfisher Festival!" Cheers and applause fill the circle. The woman, who you suspect must be an important village official, continues. "Today is a day of not only revelry but also reflection. We are all here thanks to the courage of heroes who came before us. Let us honor our founders, our family, and all those who can’t be here to celebrate today. Enjoy your festival, Vogler, with good spirits, good times, and good friends! And look to the kingfishers for good luck!"
You aren't here for good times, however. You look around and find the militia headquarters, facing the circle from the west. With some pushing through the crowd, you make it to the entrance. A militia man stops and questions you as you try to enter. "Sorry, the office is closed to the public at the moment. All the other volunteers are out ensuring peace and order around Vogler during the festival. If you could come back tomorrow..."
"Heh, now you sound like old Ispin, but I guess I never quite listened to him either." Daryan says to Wilberforce with another grin. He still tries to keep up with the solamnic knight as they pass the woman welcoming people to the Kingfisher Festival and he feels a tad bit dismayed over not being able to attend. As the team reaches the militia headquarters the half-breed steps forward to address the militia man. "We are to see Lady Becklin regarding a mission, it is very important and I'm quite sure she would like to meet with us right away." He says in a polite but urgent tone.
Persuasion if needed: 17 Another roll if help action is given: 17
The militia man looks sympathetic, but not quite ready to let you pass just on Daryan's words. "Well Lady Becklin is here, but she's meeting with the captain; maybe if you wait a little you could..."
