The library is a sprawling labyrinth of book-filled shelves that rivals that in any major metropolis.
A human man greets everyone who enters the library with a finger to the lips. He wears the dusty brown robes of a monk, which are complete with a rope belt and a hood.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
Nepharios looks around for any signs explaing where he should head for literature that relates to their current assignment, hoping to get some theoretical insights at least. He would also keep a look out for any forbidden/esoteric/necromantic section of the library.
Alcazar nods to the monk, then whispers inaudibly to them, "Noone else can us, and your reply will be inaudible; where might I find the records office?" he asks.
Paartu makes his way into the library and walks up to the man in monkish robes. “Excuse me, could you please let me know where the materials on fighting theory and barbarian strategies are? Thank you.”
Nepharios would take The Art of War and find himself a quiet and comfortable place in the library to study it.
(Any rolls needed to learn anything useful about the art of war? Was there no forbidden/esoteric/necromantic section of the library? Also, Alcazar is stil hoping to find the records office I think.)
(Nothing forbidden. There are some books about necromancy, but nothing practical though.)
Nepharios finds a section in the book discussing knowing when to fight.
Paartu's book discusses the fact that barbarians often follow a primal path. These paths are usually a part of the barbarian's culture and are formed from the beliefs of their community.

Alcazar shrugs and moves off to investigate the library for himself, trying to get a sense of the place, what the collection is like and where, if anywhere, seems to be off limits.
Knowing when to fight and when to avoid conflicts are essential skills in navigating life. While some situations warrant standing up for oneself or others, other scenarios require a more subtle approach. In some cases, confronting an issue head-on can cause further harm or escalate a situation, making it difficult to find a peaceful resolution. Therefore, being able to assess the circumstances and distinguish when a confrontation is necessary or not can avoid unnecessary physical or emotional harm.
On the other hand, avoiding conflict altogether can also lead to negative consequences, such as allowing others to take advantage or make decisions on behalf of oneself. Knowing when to speak up, assert oneself and negotiate can lead to the best outcome while also maintaining healthy relationships. Ultimately, developing the skills to establish boundaries, assess the situation and respond accordingly can avoid needless confrontations, while also ensuring that individuals are able to advocate for themselves and their interests when the situation calls for it.
Meanwhile, Paartu reads:
Barbarians take a primal path that reflects their culture and traditions. These paths are ways for the barbarian to harness their primal instincts to become more powerful in combat. Some barbarians take the path of the totem warrior, which allows barbarians to accept a spirit animal as their guide and protector. This spirit fills the barbarian with supernatural might, adding magical fuel to the barbarian's rage.

Nepharios finds the book's advice interesting but is unsure of whether this will help him in the examination. He continues to read until lunchtime at which point he makes his way over to the refectory.
Alcazar is nosing around for things he might not be intended to see or venture into. At the end of the day, if noone ushers him out, he will stay in the library.
((Happy to advance to the next day))

Paartu nods. "It's likely for the best." He heads back into the main campus.
