In case we just retreat (and exit initiative)… As the group retreats, Anoushka will keep taking shots at the blights (so, every round), taking advantage of her long range Eldritch Blasts (240 ft) and accuracy (ignore any cover except full cover). She sees no reason to not keep harrying the enemy as long as she can. Rusalka will stay between Anoushka and the blights, running interference, but keeping within 30’ of Anoushka (or she will disapparate).

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
With the immediate threat to bystanders over, and more of the creatures slowly moving their way, Glim joins the others in a rapid withdrawal. "Towards the large vine we should head, yes? Likely the source of these creatures."
He will also periodically take advantage of the creatures slow pace to turn and blast one with a FireBolt (+8 to hit, 2d10 dmg) to thin them out.
The party makes a tactical withdrawal to the docks, blasting blights as they go - and there is a steady stream of them. Tremors cause buildings around the town to collapse, and you see the huge crystalline vine growing in the center of the settlement pulsing with light and growing ever larger - now hundreds of feet tall!
The scene at the docks is chaotic. Hundreds of people swarm the piers, trying to push their way onto three vessels that haven’t yet set sail: two longships and a galleon. A group of thugs in black leather armor use their clubs on a crowd of screaming commoners, keeping the people away from the ships as they’re loaded with cargo under the supervision of a sneering man with long red hair.
A woman steps out of the crowd and wipes blood from her chin - the same one from the bar who invited you to join her. “Glad to see you again,” she says with a smile. “I’m Captain Elaina Sartell, and one of those ships is mine. Pity I can’t reach it. Would you be good enough to help me? I promise to return the favor.” Captain Sartell identifies the red-haired man as a local crime lord named Traevus—the ten thugs blocking her path work for him.
Anoushka smiles, winking at the captain. “For your beauty, anything. But to be honest, I will enjoy this regardless.” She turns to Wreji, “Come, Shiny, you will be a good distraction.” With a glance over her shoulder to make eye contact with Pim, she marches forward, intent on getting to the red haired jerk. Her sword remains in its scabbard. Rusalka shimmers and disappears as Anoushka strides ahead.
How close does she get before she is confronted by someone?

Also, are any of the ships spelljammers? Anoushka grew up on them, so she would probably recognize the features, even if they are in water mode right now?
Glim eyes the thugs and their leader; gauging them.
OOC: How closely bunched are they? Guessing the gangplank isn't terribly wide. Thinking of something clever if a 20' cube will cover the bulk of them; if I have to go up to a 30' cube to get them all I have another plan. :)
This is happening on a 20' wide and 60' long pier. The crowd takes up almost half the length (~25') and fills the pier left-to-right.
There is a big crowd of townspeople clamoring to get onto one of the ships but are being kept away from the ships by the ten thugs. The party can elbow and force their way through the townsfolk (Everyone make either a Persuasion or Intimidation check to move through the crowd unharmed =)
Glim can cover all of the thugs - and a big section of the crowd - in a 20' cube. I figure you're going to try and place it in just the right spot to only catch the thugs...but in the surging press of this, you know there will be a chance of not catching thugs and/or catching townsfolk in the area of effect.
The leader is behind his line of thugs, directing others loading cargo onto the ships.
Anoushka figures one of the ships to be a spelljammer - the subtle indications of a ship rigged to travel in wildspace seen to her trained eye (normally I would make this an arcana check, but no point in hiding it =)
She’s also very dexterous (that would have been a 15 for Acrobatics), but mostly if she is bottled up she uses Rusalka to navigate the crowd, apparating her 15’ away and teleporting to her spot, disapparating her and apparating her again 15’ further on, teleporting, etc. until she is standing before the thugs, within shouting distance of the leader.

"A local thug? Should be straight forward eh? Let's make quick work and secure a ship. We can probably only save so many people, but that's the tough reality of the situation.." Wreji follows the group towards the front with Anoushka, as he does so, he pats Pimfire on the back casting Guidance as they make their way over. He keeps his hand on the hilt of his sword as he heads towards the thugs.

As they get close, he plays a tune on his bandore, casting Faerie Fire on the thugs and their cargo; bathing them in a pale green light. DC 16 Dex save for the people.
Nip lands next to the group and listens while they speak with the Captain. He takes a moment to swat at some of the gnats swarming around him. "I will wait for the battle to begin before I rain death on them from above. Stay well friends." With that, Nip takes off again and circles about 40ft above the throng.

(OK - Nip can fly over the crowd, so no roll needed from him. Anoushka, Glim, and Wreji all rolled 14s(!) - need Pim to make a roll (with Guidance.) Captain Sartell is following close on your heels, following in your wake =) Assuming Pim doesn't tank his persuasion/intimidation roll, you get up to the line of thugs. Glim unleashes a preemptive spell as they approach, catching 9 thugs and about 21 civilians in the faerie fire!

You are easy to hit, and have many boom boom arrows pointed at you." Meanwhile, Rusalka apparates behind the line of thugs and moves towards the leader, drawing her ghostly rapier, but she does not close with him yet.
I guess an Intimidation roll is in order, but (sigh) she is not good at it, being more snarky than scary. Rolled in game log: 7

The Hippo creature, while bulky and broad-shouldered isn't used to this kind of chaos. Having grown up with the orderly Giff and then spent most of his adult life stalking and hunting alone or in tight-knit packs, the unruly crowd is a new situation for him and he finds himself being washed back by waves of the crowd.
As the rest of the party makes it to the front of the crowd, Pim looks for high ground to try to get a spot to cover 'Shuka's play.

"Hmph Anoushka, my dear, you've got to be more menacing than that if you hope to get your way hehe." The elf chuckles before his face turns much more serious, with a grin look in his eyes and his smile turning into a frown he glares at the thug leader. "Trust what the lady says, your options are limited now that we're here and I've no use for scum that preys on situations like this..."
He draws his sword halfway out of it's sheath and shines it at the crowd so that they give him space and so the thugs know he's being serious.

As the arrow slams into the ground at the feet of the leader, Glim silently curses the demise of his plan for non-violent solution.
He loudly mimics the sound of a thunderclap, and calls out, "That arrow went where it was meant to. Unless you and your glowy friends wish to be pincushions, cease your looting and step away from the ship you're trying to steal!"
