Randaler thinks for a moment, then says to the creature, "Well, we can easily toss you the remains of the Redbrands when we are done with them. We actually have a couple of them in a room back there already."
Randaler turns to the group. "What do you think? Go back and drag one of the Redbrands in here... or, head back to the prisoner cell area, and see if there is a way forward from there?" He lowers his voice to a whisper, "Or, just try to end him here and now?" as he inclines his head in the direction of the creature.
Chad withdraws from the huddle and turns quickly. Chad yells to the creature while pointing his glowing wand in the creature's direction, "my gift is I let you live! Now let us pass!"
"I wouldn't mind just letting him feast on their bodies until we have completed our mission" Koko says to the group. As Chad yells to the creature, her face drops at his words.
Let me live? No, I let you live. I could easily have eaten you when you arrived, but I was merciful. Bring me one of those bodies, and you can pass through fine. I'll even make sure you don't fall for the humans' trap.
"Come on, let's get one of those thugs back there in the storeroom." Randaler says to the group, and starts to head back down the corridor towards the secret door they found.
OOC: Unless the group stops him, Randaler plans to carry one of the ruffians from the first room (near the cistern) back to the bridge and toss it over.

Chad's very suspicious of this creature.

(That's low.........)
"**** it," Chad mumbles. I guess this thing has no reason to lie to me. I am the greatest wizard after all. He goes with Randaler to help move the body.
After dropping the body into the chasm with a certain amount of disgust Randaler makes his way toward the bridge the creature pointed to. "Lets keep moving" he called to his companions. "I don;t really want to watch or hear what comes next down there."
The gleaming eye watches from within the cove as the party moves towards the northern bridge. As they cross it leaps into the pit as the sound of tearing flesh and crunching bones can be heard beneath.
The group makes their way to the other bridgeway. Before they get across, they can see another opening into part of the manor's basement level, some barrels stacked up to one side. Headed across the bridge, they can see the shadows of the creature making at its meal while they cross. Ahead, there appears to be a stone staircase that leads upwards into what must be another part of the manor, separate to the pathway that was visible at the southern bridge that the creature advised not using.
(Effectively two paths, a northern passage and a southern one. Both head westward. Which do the group want to try going up?)
Randaler wants to stay as far away from the feasting creature as possible, so he heads towards whichever path is farther from it. "Let's head this way." He whispers to his companions.

"Yes, we are here to heal the city from it's redbrand situation, maybe you could tell us where they are hiding?"

The strange creature tilts its head slightly, its voice penetrating the minds of the group to make telepathic contact once again.
The humans in red lie beyond here. They kept me fed with meat. What do you have to offer?

Just OOC: I think we need to find a fourth if possible.

The creature's large eye focuses on Randaler as its sharp teeth form a large malevolent grin. It's telepathy speaks into the party's minds again.
A gift then? A toll to use my bridge safely? I'll take the levy, bring it here so I may feast.

The creature seems to cackle in the group's head.

The group returns to grab one of the slain Redbrands and brings them back to the room. The creature grins as they return.
Yes... That one will do.
The creature climbs to the ledge it was on before.
Drop that one into the pit, then use that bridge there...
The clawed arm points out the north bridge.
The other won't support your weights.

Trying desperately to ignore the sounds behind and below him Randaler continues across the bridge to see where it leads.

Chad will fall in behind Randaler. I want to keep watch in the creature as we head off.

Koko says "we should go the safer way as the monster says the other is dangerous. Our weight would collapse the bridge. "

(Just to clarify, you've crossed the bridge now, so you don't need to worry about the other bridge mentioned by the creature.)
Randaler wants to stay as far away from the feasting creature as possible, so he heads towards whichever path is farther from it. "Let's head this way." He whispers to his companions.
