(Despite the low roles you even put) you make it mostly unharmed bar xis falling over constantly and Namor tripping on some of the vines you hear off in the distance roas of the local dinosaurs by the time sunsets you hit the scale guards war camp you didn’t realise but from the tree jumps down a were tiger “intruder’s state your business or you shall be sacrificed to the World serpent and the glory of the tryannus”
"We were sent here to negotiate an alliance with the Scaled Guard,"Violet says, emerging from Gromedark's shadow, focusing her main eye and three of her smaller eyes on the were-tiger as the remaining eyes scan the area for threats."I believe that Sir Garmuk has the badge that we were given to prove that we are here on official business."
I do? He pats himself down finding the badge. I do.. WONDERFUL.
Garmuk steps foward.
HELLO NEW FRIEND! Well met and Good Evening.
Garmuk makes a stately bow. Before dropping his axe on the ground holding his hands out wide.
I am Sir Garmuk of Greensbrook, Warden of the Wood, Knight of Silvanus, Newly appointed Representative along with my friends here of Port Nazaru. We come in peace and our reasions of being here vary but our goal is common. We wish to end this unagreeable war. Our current task is to join the People's of Port Nazaru and the Scaled Guard in common cause.
With your leave good Sir we wish an Audience with one who can make such decisions.
The weretiger now flack by 3 to 4 lizardfolk “you want an audience with the entrenal how interesting I can not however Marduk can follow” he goes further into the war camp you see it very much a small fortified perimeter and a camp “Marduk envoys from the port” she listen “thank you Tam go back to the perimeter” she is a female lizardfolk wearing a breastplate and has a scimitar made from bone around he him (history check can be made for some lore but is not required) she is flaked by two male lizards folk in a legionnaires armour from Rome in are world “so what terms do you bring us”
Violet probably has the best shot at persuading the Scaled Guard to agree to whatever deal the port is offering, but she's a little bit nervous about drawing too much attention to herself since she's not sure how the lizards will react when they put two-and-two together and realize she's a Beholderkin.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Ooc: 2 things where we given terms before we left? I'll reread the post but we where kinda just pushed out.
Garmuk if I roll high enough does Garmuk the proper customs and Courtesis when addressing lizard folk?
You know that in lizardfolk culture it’s usually the males who hunt fight if a tribe has to the females will bread as wells hunt so seeing a female leading a war camp now it very much out of the blue
"Gromedark feel Scaled Guard and Port Nazaru not need enemies with each other. True enemy are Tiamat. Why divide efforts between two enemies? Port Nazaru and Scaled Guard have better time and more success with only one enemy, Tiamat."
Gromedark casually looks around when afforded the time (not breaking eye contact while talking or being spoken to) admiring the camp while also taking note of things (wooden walls? how big is the camp, small/medium/large? rough headcount? etc. etc.)
It’s a median size camp but for more details I would need a perseption role
Sir Gromedark speaks the truth of it. We purpose an alliance of equals. The mighty Scaled Guard and Port Nazaru join in common cause in the war against Tiamat.
As of now Port Nazaru comes to this alliance free of conditions. My friend Violet here would be willing to discuss conditions if you have them.
I might be speaking out of turn but I would like to offer my services and those of my friends if they are willing.
Violet is a little bit surprised when Garmuk puts her forwards as the team's diplomat... but she takes a breath and steels herself for the negotiation.
She steps forward, her many eyes meeting the gaze of the lizard woman. Violet isn't entirely sure if she should bow or if she should try to approach from a position of strength. She decides to try to take a bit of a middle route.
"Greetings, Madam,"the aberration says, trying to look both commanding and respectful. "As Sir Garmuk has explained, the leadership of Port Nazaru did not specify any terms of alliance. But I think it would be a reasonable expectation that if either side is attacked by the forces of Tiamat, then the other will immediately send aid, military if possible and material aids such as food, medicine, and weaponry if immediate military intervention is impossible or impractical. And of course, it is important to establish a strong non-aggression pact between the Scaled Guard and Port Nazaru for as long as Tiamat's forces remain a threat to this land. Travelers from Port Nazaru should be granted safe passage through the lands of the Scaled Guard, and the same courtesy be granted to members of the Guard travelling through land controlled by the Nazaru. Do you believe there is anything else that needs to be written into this agreement?"
(If anyone would like to take the Help action here to give Violet advantage on her Persuasion check it would be much appreciated)

Violet realizes that this wasn't her best pitch ever... but hopefully it will be enough to convince the leader of the Scaled Guard to enter an alliance against Tiamat. She looks at the lizard woman expectantly.

Namor's eyebrows went up at the counteroffer. He'd thought Violet's pitch was reasonable; but then, sometimes folks picked at the smallest nits.
"Take out an enemy war camp? Heh, sure, should be easy enough," smiled the sailor. "And tell you what... if we're going to wait until morning anyway, how about we help guard your perimeter here? We can setup a watch and sleep at the edge of your camp tonight, just in case."Namor wasn't usually so generous with his (or others') time, but if these people wanted a show of strength, he couldn't think of a more convincing approach.
She responds “no now get some rest” she leaves the tent to go and rest you are then shown to your “rooms” which are tent covers next to some half fallen wall

Garmuk assumes these peoples value strength so he beats his chest then gets in her face.
We lack no courage. We will do this for the alliance but you will not insult our honor!
He turns and leaves without waiting for a response.
