Katarina wanders into the meeting a little bit late... it seems that she overslept a bit, as evidenced by her messy hair and the fact that she is doing her best to stifle a yawn.
"Katarina is here," the feline says groggily. "She didn't miss anything of great importance, did she? Oh... and the breakfast looks lovely! Thank you much to whoever is responsible for the meal!"

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
"My apologies...Zaphi?" she says, carefully annunciating the name and looking for approval.
"I'm only asking because we're a shield or two short of where I'd like us to be. It would be nice to know where to look for everyone once the fighting starts."
Jade rubs her eyes and takes a long drink of water.
"I wanted to wish my old friend well on her journey and meet those who will keep her safe on her quest, " Lucero explains smiling again at the party as he places his hand over Elliðaey's hand on the table.
Elliðaey beams at Lucero who nods at him letting him hold her hand as she takes a sip of a steaming coffee with her free hand.
"I also come to gift a boon from the Keep to you all. I know of the research some of you were seeking," Lucero says next. "Within my power of course," he adds chuckling.
Millicent doesn't know this seemingly human man but she also has never discussed Elliðaey's past relationships either. Millicent has never even shared her own before becoming Elliðaey's apprentice!
OOC All of you will now be gifted a boon from the Keeper of Tomes. It could be a spell scroll up to level 3, a yes or no prophetic question answered, or research on a topic continued in your name.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
The moment the words leave Lucero's mouth, Eila drops the slice of toast she'd been about to bite and blurts out, "Revivify."
Her manners catch up with her a second later, and she flushes and clears her throat. "I mean, um, Millicent has discovered there may be danger in the mountains ahead of us, and the spell is beyond my ability at the moment. If the worst were to happen I wouldn't be able to..." she chews on her lip as she trails off, then looks Lucero straight in his amber eyes with a very serious expression. "Having a scroll of Revivify would let me keep them safe, if you have one to give."
"What was that spell mama used. Ah yes I would like a spell scroll of Slow"says Zaphi. If I remember its a good spell that can make monsters moves like molasses.
"Keeper, thank you for your generosity. If it is not too much to ask, I would also request a scroll of revivification," Jade says, her eyes darting quickly to Eila as she speaks.
Katarina has little use for spell scrolls... and while knowing the future might be useful, part of her fears what she might find out. So, after some consideration, she makes her request.
"Katarina has but a small request," she says hesitantly. "Could the Scholars perhaps search for ways in which the tides of Wild Magic could be brought to heel? Perhaps there is something in the books about conditions like Katarina's. She cannot be the only one in all of the world who has had to contend with this problem, after all..."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Millicent is unsure but after the business with the gnome doesn't want to ask any more questions for now.
" I am afraid I am a bit of a burden when it comes to the....fighting....anything that would help with that I suppose...", she looked to the others for suggestions.
The request doesn't draw Eila's attention, but the mention of Kitiara's name does. She turns her head and casts a guarded but questioning glance between Jade and Millicent. She's got the unmistakeable look of someone with something to say, but returns her attention, for now, to Keeper Lucero.
"Done," Lucero replies to the groups requests and then gestures into the air. The handsome man says nothing and with only a hint of concentration on his face he then turns to Elliðaey. "Seems a good bunch. Glad to see your companions are much improved from our last meeting," he teases crypticly with a smirk as Elliðaey honestly blushes nudging him in his shoulder clad in fine silver robes. "Well, you shall have your boons before you finish your breakfast, " he adds sipping his own cup of coffee.
Breakfast passes pleasantly. It's still relatively early when the party makes ready to depart. Their mule cart arrives along with Millicent's steed. Then three more horses are brought out on loan to Elliðaey, Katarina, and Niska from the Keeper of Tomes. As the party begins to mount up a tiefling appears in a puff of apparition smoke laiden with scrolls for each member who requested them and a book. The tiefling then hands them out but hands Katarina a journal before turning to make a bowing motion at Lucero and disappearing again!
"Good journey, " Lucero says smiling softly at the party before turning to Elliðaey and placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
Elliðaey however fully embraces Lucero with great enthusiasm before the two part.
"Ah," Lucero seems slightly flustered for the first time smiling at Elliðaey. "Good journey, " he says stepping back from Elliðaey's embrace.
The monk then turns from him and mounts a brilliant black horse he's loaned her for the journey!
"Thank you, " Elliðaey nods at Lucero giving him a soft smile.
As she reigns the horse towards the opening gates suddenly a glossy winged raven cawing loudly swoops down settling on Elliðaey offered forearm before the creature, the size of a house cat, siddles up the monk's arm and rests clacking and cawing on her shoulder.
"Zaphi it's here with me or the wagon, " Elliðaey says gesturing at her saddle to the kobold.
The party then departs Candlekeep for the village of Maren. Maren is a day's ride to the base of the Cloud Peaks and will be their resting place before they begin their trek into the mountains to Vermeillon!
As eager as she had been to get to Candlekeep she was more eager to leave, the idea of losing her precious had filled her with a grave fear and there seemed safety of a sort on the road....though likely more dangers still.

"Our last battle was a little...undisciplined."
"I see well we will see what happens the next time we are engaged in combat and what our environ will be." says Zaphi.

"You did well enough in the last battle. Spared us some bloodshed," Jade reassures Millicent, leaning in and nudging her with an elbow.
Millicent looked to Jade with a slight crooked smile, " Still."
Jade shrugs, "I don't know anything about wizard magic."
Her brow furrows, "Kitiara was always fond sleeping spells...if you want to avoid harming anyone?"
" Oh, ok. A Sleep Scroll please."
The request doesn't draw Eila's attention, but the mention of Kitiara's name does. She turns her head and casts a guarded but questioning glance between Jade and Millicent. She's got the unmistakeable look of someone with something to say, but returns her attention, for now, to Keeper Lucero.
Noticing Eila's glance, Jade's face transitions from confusion to realization before settling somewhere between mortification and contrition.
Stirring her porridge, she contemplates it with the focus of someone expecting to be poisoned.

"Zaphi, are you coming with us?" Jade asks from the wagon, offering the Kobold a hand.
Zaphi quickly grabs Jade's offered hand and jumps onto the wagon. "Well lets see what our next leg of the journey will have in store for us"
