Spiderlock's eight spider shoulders start to shudder as he looks into the mirror and finds his reflection inexplicably hilarious. He attempts to suppress the urge.
Saoirse looks at the sword in awe, admiring its magnificent craft and wondering who made it and why there is a symbol of a wolf. A weapon such as this would come in handy in the battles that they will surely have to face in the future, she thinks as she reaches a hand to grab it, only to discover that the lizardfolkhas been quicker and already has the blade in his hands.
- Hey, I was going to ... - she starts - ... are you proficient with a sword? You seem to favour ranged attacks. - she adds, looking at the bow the lizardfolk has been using so far.
History 14 in case she knows anything about the wolf symbol.
Hemlock realizes that the mirror is enchanted to cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on anyone who sees their reflection in it. He was only just barely able to resist the enchantment himself.
When the lizardfolk picks up the sword, his eyes narrow, and his gaze sweeps across the room in fury and anguish. "Forest-burners! Land-takers! It is past time that I have my vengeance!" He swings the sword suddenly at Saoirse, slicing into her shoulder. Take 11 slashing damage.
The sword drips with Saoirse's bright blood as the lizardfolk turns towards Sha-Gravis. "You hold the dragon's egg my family is sworn to protect, and you ask WHY!" His stance shifts and there is no doubt about who will be on the recieving end of the next thrust of the blade.
Lam is just attempting to understand the magic in the room when suddenly the lizardfolk turns on all of them. Saoirse screams in pain, which sends a dagger of adrenaline into Lam’s own heart and sends him into a flurry of action, ready to attack back. This lizardfolk looks ready to go against any one of them at this moment, but particularly looks like he’ll go for Sha next. Lam doesn’t intend to let that happen.
The lizardfolk's face is fear, fury, and hate. He is swift, and powerful. If spiderlock glances at Sha he will see an aura of divination magic - and a thin line of the same connecting Sha to the lizardfolk. This is recognizable as a hunter's mark.
"What in the nine hells do you think you're doing, Saoirse!?". Her own reply to the lizardfolk had suddenly teleported the genasi to a scene, when she was younger and training with her friends at the Order. She had dared ask what kind of danger posed a foe such as a wizard, being as physically weak as they usually were. Her instructor that day had only smiled, muttered some incantation and then waved a hand towards her. With that sudden move all the friendly faces around her disappeared, only to be replaced by ilithids. The young and energetic Saoirse didn't think twice and punched the nearest one. "What in the nine hells do you think you're doing, Saoirse!?", the creature had replied, and the instructor cancelled the spell quickly, for the message had been clear enough. That day Saoirse learned not to show disregard towards magic users, and the existence of spells that could control one's mind.
It was clear as day that the lizardfolk was now under control of one such spell, that had taken hold of his mind once he had touch the sword. She had been luck to not be quick enough to grab it herself.
- He's being mind controlled! The sword he touched was enchanted to do just that! - she warned her friends as she drawed the rapier and attacked her ally, trying not to pierce or slash him but give him back his senses, instead.
The first thing Lam does, without really thinking, is throw the javelin in his hand at the lizardfolk. He does it by instinct and does not take much time to aim. Next, hearing Saoirse’s words, he moves in close to the lizardfolk, putting himself between his foe and Sha as he draws his greataxe and readies himself to physically stop the lizardfolk by whatever means possible.
Action: Attack by throwing the javelin. 12 to hit, 7 damage.
Free action: Draw the greataxe.
Movement: Right in close with the lizardfolk, but specifically where I am right between him and Sha.
Reaction: Could I have an opportunity attack be a grapple attack? That’s what I’d most like to do. If not, I’d swing the blunt side of my greataxe.
The lizarfolk's swift movement comes to a sudden halt, as Lam deftly wraps an arm around his throat, his powerful frame and perfect stance absorbing the momentum flawlessly. The lizardfolk lashes out with the longsword, flailing to try to hit Lam despite being grappled and having a terrible angle. He does not manage to make contact with the blade. "Release me, murderer! I will rend the flesh from your boness!!!"
Rolled to attack with disadvantage, failed twice. (9 and 11)
His eyelids, begin to droop, the nictitating membrane sliding across them, and then immediately open again, full of rage. "Your foul magics will not hold me, fleshbirther!"
Despite being held by Lam, the lizardfolk manages to wriggle just right so that Spiderlock's attempted bite catches only the leather of his armor. Not thick armor - but apparently a little thicker than a wolf spider's fangs are long.
Saoirse tries once again to help their former ally out of his folly by hitting (more than piercing) him with her weapons. She strikes first with the rapier and then with the dagger, as she yells:
- Stop this already, or I'll knock the enchantment out of your brain the painful way! We mean the egg no harm!!
Rapier to hit: 23. Damage: 11 (non lethal).
Dagger to hit: 14, which I believe does not hit. Rolled with advantage and got an 11 anyway.

Lam, make a grapple check (athletics). Our Boi has pretty high dexterity, so it's no sure thing.
