Silthras was surprised to see their guide crumple into a heap as he felt the tingle of warning. As the lizard-folk spring out of the brush he focuses on the leader, speaking in fluent draconic.
"There seems to be a misunderstanding, you should stand down and sit this one out over there..." he points further to the south, "... then guide us safely to our destination. We have no desire to fight unprovoked."
He says to his companions, "If the leader makes no further attack do not attack him."
(( DC: 15 Wisdom save on suggestion; Silthras will react with Silvery Barbs if he succeeds ))
Vic flinches as an arrow flashing out of the jungle strikes him in the shoulder and the lizardfolk appear from the undergrowth. Breaking off the shaft of the arrow, he runs a hand along the blade of his shortsword, wrapping it in energy. Heeding Silthras' warning, he avoids the leader and moves toward the nearest lizardfolk (B2), striking it, then disengages and moves back to his original position.
Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. plus 8 thunder damage.
(Following a hit, if B2 moves on its own, it takes 12 thunder damage).
Grudnik curses he gets struck by an arrow and sees Bel fall to the ambush. He immediately starts to move.
“Taat! You will regret firing upon us,”, he says as he closes the distance to the archer who shot him, moving into the undergrowth in which it is positioned. As he moves, he releases the glaive from it’s harness on his back and sweeps it forcefully across the archers legs, looking to trip them. In one continuous motion he sweeps it up and around and down towards his head.
Movement: Towards archer who hit him (or one within range) - having difficulty viewing the map Action: Attack 1 - Glaive against archer - To Hit: 14+8=22, Damage 1+5=6 - Use d6 superiority dice for trip attack (When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a STR saving throw (DC 15). On failure, you knock the target prone) - Extra Damage - 6 Attack 2 (possible advantage if prone) - Glaive against Archer (3, 18)+8= 11 or 26 if prone - Damage: 2+5=7 Bonus Action: None

Victorin and Grudnik bloody their respective targets, but they still stand. The scout manages to stay on their feet despite the tripping attack.
Meanwhile, the blackscale leader falls completely under the sway of Silthras' suggestion.
It is the blackscales' turn!
The leader simply stands there, wasting their turn. The other two strike back! However, the lizardfolk that had been thunderstruck by Victorin takes a single step before falling victim to the crackling energy around it and collapsing to the ground. Only the one engaged with Adran gets the chance to make any attacks! It swings a heavy club at the mounted paladin and also tries to take a bite out of his mount.
Bite Attack vs Adran's Horse: 22 Damage: 8 Club Attack vs Adran: 7 Damage: 3
Also speaking Draconic, Ancidus calls out "Follow his example --"gesturing to the leader of the blackscales "-- and do not attempt to harm us. We have no quarrel with you." Hoping that this will at least cause some of their attackers to pause. They move up the path slightly as they speak, bringing more of their attackers into view. Ancidus casts bane on PD2, PD3, and B3 (DC 16 CHA).
Adran knows that magic is afoot as soon as he understands Ancidus's words in a language he does not know. Seeing the Blackscale leader's lack of movement, he considers that there's a good chance for this fight to be ended without further death. Adran cautiously pulls his Watching Blade from its scabbard and, with seemingly no direction from Adran, the horse starts circling the Blackscale that attacked it, both waiting to see if combat will continued and remaining ready if it does.
Adran readies his action to make an attack with his Longsword of Warning if the Blackscale (B3) moves or is otherwise hostile, while his steed takes the dodge action once again. I guess I'll roll the longsword attack now. No need to look in here unless it happens, though.
19 (12+7) to hit, 13 (7+6) slashing damage.

Erbert manages to block the prior incoming attack by putting up a magical shield rapidly, then he urges Rufus to backpedal and back up 10-15 feet, he turns to the Poison Dusk scout (PD2) and releases two bolts of fire at him. “You should not have attacked us, you will rue the day that you trifled with our band of explorers!”
Erbert tries his best to muster stern words for the ambushing lizardfolk, his little voice carrying as strong of a rebuke as he can muster. He circles around on Rufus and remains in the back, keeping his eye on their flanks.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Grudnik is struck twice, but shrugs off most of the damage. Silthras and Erbert both avoid an arrow thanks to the bane from Ancidus and Erbert's shield spell from the previous round. An arrow pings off of Ancidus' metal chassis, but Adran is hit right in the gaps of his armor! Still, it doesn't hit that hard despite the great placement of the shot.
The lizardfolk's arrow strikes with enough force that it pierces through the faint yellow light enveloping Adran, making a circle of air within his spell. He concentrates on the circle, trying to push the spell's effect to reclaim the hole created by the arrow, but he is unable to muster enough force, and the injury causes the circle to grow around Adran and his horse until the spell disappears in its entirety.
"Dammit."
Concentration save: 5 (3+2)

"Is that all you have, gaa'taat?", Grudnik says to the lizardfolk before him as he deflects two solid blows away with his arm bracers, apparently feeling almost no pain from the strikes.
Swinging his glaive around above his head, he sweeps it down towards the scout, "Allow me to instruct you".
He then continues the movement spinning the glaive in his hands to bring a second vicious sweep down on it in a blur of speed.
If the scout still stands, he will motion him to try again, and if not he will move to the other scout.

(OOC: If PD1 is down after the first hit (18 damage so far at that point), he will move to PD2 and then attack them with the second)
Silthras flinches and ducks, then breathes a sigh of relief as the arrow flies by him. He quickly scans the field; To him the most important objective is to reduce the numbers, rather than whittle them all down slowly.
Focusing his attention on the scout that Grudnik is fighting, dark energies swirl around his hand then fly toward the reptilian form.
With two heavy cleaves, Grudnik strikes down both scouts on the western side of the ancient trail! Unfortunately, Silthras' dark magic fails to strike any of his foes.
Seeing the western enemies fall to Grudnik, Vic turns his attention to those in the east. He loops back next to Silthras, avoiding the blackscale leader. Pulling a hand crossbow out from under his duster, he targets the bloodied blackscale facing Adran.
Attack 24, damage 8, plus 11 sneak attack damage
