Purpose or Reason to Quest: Cyran Yeslav is a creature of order and of civilization. Raised among his city's upper echelon, he looked forward to a life of fine wine, sumptuous and stylish feasts, and ease as the firstborn and inheritor of his father's caravan company. Although it was preferable to stay in the city, where the intelligent people and interesting events were, sometimes duty required he travel with a caravan of his father's. He was on such a trip, when the illithids attacked with their enslaved horde. The rest of the caravan was slaughtered over the next couple of days, but the illithids kept Cyran around, for some reason. He wished he was dead, because the food he was served was beneath disgust. Four days after capture, a group of Githyanki pirates raided the mind-flayers, coming away with several slaves, including Cyran. But something went wrong and the Githyanki vessel crashed into this place, everyone dying except for Cyran (as far as he knows). So now he is here, not even knowing what plane he is on, wishing only to find a way to return home.

Name: Sugar Race: Tiefling Class: Bard (Lore) Purpose for adventuring: Sugar was a foot soldier in a great war, and has seen the Four Horsemen out in all their finery. Worst of all was the famine. He watched as soldiers starved to death and succumbed to diseases their bodies should have been able to fight off. Now, in retaliation against death, war, famine, and pestilence themselves, Sugar spreads word of safe food and water sources, whether through his books or through the spoken word. His main goal is to create his magnum opus: The Adventurer's Cookbook, but to do so he needs to gather and taste-test hundreds of different monsters of all kinds, heedless of their intelligence or morality. Dragons, celestials, and aberrations all go on the plate. Alignment: NG

Purpose for Adventuring: Zellion is a descendant of the House of Bynn'Darr, a high elven house with a storied history of producing archmages. His parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are all masters in tiehr chosen school of magice but Zellion has found he enjoys his training with the blade and the bow and can't find a school of magic which calls out to him. His great-grandmother used to tell him stories of the bladesingers, ancient elven warriors who blended magic and martial arts. Today no-one is sure if the bladesingers were real or just a myth and the archmages of house Bynn'Darr will not allow one of their own to waste time exploring such frivolities when the tried and tested schools of magic are available for study. Leaving his familial home Zellion sets out on a life of adventure to find whatever information he can on the bladesingers of old and if necessary to develop his own way to merge steel and spell out in the real world.
