Virro is relieved that the hell hounds were vanquished, feeling that they have been pretty lucky thus far, all in all. He starts to stride forward toward the entrance with everyone else, scanning the periphery as they go, looking for any attackers or signs of movement as they go. “I wonder who set those guard dogs there… Guess we will find out soon.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Reya runs back to the crowd that they have garnered in their short time in Elturel and asks them to come inside to the courtyard area and out of the streets. "We're going to check out the High Hall before having you come in. The fact hellhounds were guarding the entrance... I don't feel we should escort you in just yet. I feel Virro is on the right track."
Once they are in, Reya heads up with Virro to follow Corlith and Lulu inside.
As Corlith ascends the stairs to the cathedral, an archway opens into a long hall containing eight columns. He passes through the archway with Lulu and sees that though a few of these columns represent the god, Torm, the other ones surprisingly represent the likenesses of a winged female devil wielding a luminous sword.
Wooden doors opposite of the entrance stairs stand broken open, smashed to pieces, revealing a grand foyer beyond. At the foot of these doors lay four eviscerated guards, pools of blood beneath each of them.
Corlith stops as he surveys the columns with the likeness of the winged female devil.
"Zariel", he says before turning to Lulu as if expecting her to say something. "But not as she was, a fiendish representation of the angel she was. Interesting".
When Reed mentions something moving, he turns his attention back to the room.
"Well, striding forth seemed to work last time", he then says and moves into the room, shield at the ready.
Special: Armor of Agathys transmuted to thunder - Level 3 - just under 1 hour (15 temp hit points)
When Reed mentions there is something beyond the broken down doors, the group starts gathering up, ready to fight again. Corlith, full of confidence after last time, heads through the door with Lulu right over his shoulder.
Walking into the grand foyer, he sees portrayals of Torm everywhere. Decorated pillars displaying symbols and scenes celebrating the god. Two spiral staircases are located in this area, heading up to another level. Beyond this are curtains, some of them shredded by weapons and claws, separate this area from the heart of the cathedral.
But what really draws his attention are three more hellhounds and what appears to be their master. What looks like a shriveled up old devil and he scowls when he sees you. "How did you get by my pets?! Well, you won't get past these!"
Hellhound A bounds forward then opens his jaw wide. Fire unleashes from inside, billowing out in a 15' cone, engulfing Corlith, Lulu and Reya. DC 12 DEX save or take 24 fire damage, half if saved.
Hellhound B follows behind and snarls up to Corlith, but misses on his bite.
Corlith spots the hell hounds advance, dodging out of the way of the brunt of the flames from the first, before. blocking the seconds attack with his shield. Thankfully, his tiefling heritage means he isn't so effected by the flams that did wash over him, and his protective magic absorbs what does get through.
Dex Save: 19+3=22 - half damage to 12, halved due to resistance to 6 [fire] Special: Armor of Agathys transmuted to thunder - Level 3 - just under 1 hour (9 temp hit points)
Reya, not really watching the dogs, but seeing the master instead is caught unawares as the fire hits her hard. Bloodied now from the flames, she regrips her sword, focused on the hound that just roasted her.
Lulu is a little luckier and is able to dodge most of the flames, but her golden fur is definitely singed.
Reeds eyes go wide when the hell hound breathes fire.
"Didn't know about that," he says.
He quickly lets the arrow fly at hellhound that just tried to take a bite out of Corlith. He then says "you know what to do," nodding at the flame throwing hell hound. He then ducks out of the way to make room for the others to get at the enemy, moving behind the pillar he's near.
----------------------------
Action - Short bow @ Hellhound B - 14 to hit for (8+6 sneak attack) = 14 Piercing Damage
Wails from the grave @ Hellhound A - 7 Necrotic Damage (if the short bow attack hit the first hell hound, otherwise there was no Wails from the Grave)
Bonus Action - Cunning Action - to Hide (Stealth:15 ) behind the pillar/statue just to the NE of Reed
"Bad dogs", Corlith repeats to the two who had engaged them as he steps a bit to the side so he can better see the creature that spoke. He then brings his hand forward and unleashes a burst of cold energy at the three hounds and their master, which as it travels seem to morph into a thunderous wave.
Movement: 5ft south to get a better view Action: Cast Rime's Binding Ice against all foes - transmuted into thunder damage: DC 17 Con Save or take 8+8+1 = 17 [thunder] and is hindered by ice formations for 1 minute, or until it or another creature within reach of it uses an action to break away the ice. A creature hindered by ice has its speed reduced to 0. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t hindered by ice.
The blast is loud and true as it engulfs all the enemies in it's thunderous damage, then blocking them up with ice stopping them from being able to move.
Reya undeterred by her fire damage, steps up to A and swings her sword at the hound.
Attack: 20, Damage: 9 - making the creature bloody.
Her second sword swing is a miss, and she uses her bonus action to heal - 6 hp
Roo is counting on his fingers after Reed's question, muttering to himself and looking lost in concentration before finally answering.
"Not sure, buck!" He exclaims, throwing his hands up. "Months! Maybe four months? Am I counting this right?"
He starts counting again and is deep in concentration when they happen upon their next scrap. There's a burst of fire, an arrow flies, Reya's sword flashes, and Roo stops counting and has enough time to look shocked before dashing into battle, moving around the Hellhounds as best as possible before closing the distance with C and attacking with his mace.
"Die b!tch!" He shouts, bringing the mace down hard on the Hell Hounds stupid effin' face with booming force. "Cluck ugly mother clucker!"
He then catches site of the withered old devil and points to him with the mace for a split second.
"I'm coming for you next, cluckface!"

Archie moves into the room, moving around REYA, she places her self in an intentionally unfortunate position between two hellhounds (A & C) with a rod of absorption in one hand and a light hammer in the other Archie decides not to attack with her weapons but her spells. Thumping her hammer against her chest a thunderous boom resonates out toward hound C and slightly to Archie's right, as to avoid hurting Roo. The boom catches hound C, the devil, and a good 15 ft portion of the curtain behind them, attempting to blow them all 10 ft backwards.
With the vibration Archie's armour begins to glow slightly

Top of the round...
Hellhound A turns around and faces Archie as well. His bite sinks in deep, 6 piercing damage and 9 fire damage.
Hellhound B reaches forward and attempts to bite Corlith, but misses.
Reed peeks around from where he’s hiding. Without moving, he takes a breath and lines up the hell hound behind Archie. Once he lets the arrow fly, he nods at the hell hound closing in on Corlith. “Let’s try that again.”
The second hell hound hears a collection of whiny ghostly moaning and complaining in its ears.
Bonus Action - Steady Aim
Action - Shortbow - Hell hound A - 27 to hit for 17 piercing (including Sneak Attack)
Corlith sees Archie in trouble, and steps forward and around the armoured fire genasi so he stands opposite Roo, flanking the remaining hound next to Archie. As he moves, he leaves himself to attack by the hell hound next to him.
He reaches a hand out to the hell hound between himself and Roo and his fingers spark as lightning threaten to zap the hell hound.
If the hell hound still stands, he repeats the shocking touch, and if not he repeats the attack against the master, either way moving next to the master.
"You really should keep your mutts under control", he advises in infernal.

Reed almost brings up that they just fought the bearded devils 10 minutes ago. But he pauses and then wonders about how time passes for Roo.
"Roo, how long has it been since we all met in Baldur's Gate?"
He sees the four bodies and wrinkles his nose a little. Looking to the air beside his head he frowns. "No, why don't you go look closer."
Reed pays attention to the rest of the entry area looking for more hell hounds or other demons or devils.
Perception: (18+9) = 27
Reed gestures ahead into the grand foyer beyond the dead guards.
"There's something moving around in there," Reed says. He nocks an arrow into his bow and follows along behind.
