Virro's ethereal hand touches the cult leader and he cringes at it's touch, the necrotic damage affecting his body. The second hand misses it's mark.
The contempt that Corlith shows towards the leader is quite affective as the man's shoulders slump, being called an impotent worm. A few of his cultists behind him whisper a bit, the one that gave Roo a cigarette, starting it.
Seeing the situation has now escalated to a fight, Morty finds himself trapped and decides to swing his club, at least that he knew how to do. Two solid blows land on cultist A and the man swiftly crumples to the ground, his life completely clobbered out of him.
The IronMaiden, potion in hand does indeed distract the leader with the spill of the chest and as the fire breathes from Archie's open visor, the man screams in pain. "Even...even if you vanquish me, more will come! That treasure is marked!!"
Severely hurt and burnt, the man sees Corlith in his grasps and reaches out. Hoping to grab hold of the tiefling and hurt him back, he stumbles and misses, his hand grasping nothing but his own cloak.
Wilfred moves into the spot where cultist A was. He twirls his glaive, attacking the leader with both ends. However, both attacks go wide. "Well, shit."
“Why does he keep going on about the treasure being marked? It doesn’t matter.” Reed says.
When Wilfred steps in closer, causing the new dragon cultists to divide their focus ever so slightly, Reed release the arrow he had ready. It flies towards the mouthy leader.
Reed then moves quickly back towards Roo, slipping in behind the statue by the entrance, seeking cover to attack from on his next shot.
Action - Shortbow Attack: (19+6)= 25 to hit for (5+4+2)=11
Movement: Behind statue near where Roo is on the wall.
The arrow pierces straight through the leaders neck and drops him.
Cultists B & D watch their leader fall and look at each other. B decides this is for the birds and climbs back over the wall, but D, apparently the more devout follower of Tiamat, heads towards Corlith and attempts to slash him with his scimitar. He misses. Barely.
"That one is going for reinforcements!" Roo shouts, pulling Glory of Morning's reins and spurring her forward. "Hyah girl! We can't let him get away!"
Glory of Morning dashes down the length of the wall toward the fleeing cultist. As they near him, Roo spurs her one more time and draws his sword, and the possum launches herself off the wall in what is an attempt at a flying tackle...
"Cluuuuck yooouuu mothercluuuucker!" Roo shouts as they go over the wall...
..****y for the cultist to juke out of the way at the last second. Still, he swings his sword, driving it into the cultist's shoulder and leaving him with a nasty gash.
They land with a clumsy wump and Glory of Morning gasps as the air is knocked from her for a second. She huffs, jagged possum teeth shining as Roo wheels her toward his quarry...
Shortsword Attack: 23 to hit (in Dice Channel) Damage: 6 (in Dice Channel)
As cultist B moves away from Wilford, Papa's glaive slices him in two.
Roo holds his action instead and Cultist C, watching in horror as the fighter swiftly takes down his friend, splits and scales the wall. As he does, Roo's readied action is released and what was posted above happens :)
The ray of frost envelopes the cultist as he tries to flee, freezing him to the spot and completely through.
As Corlith looks over the wall a little more, now that the threat is gone, he doesn't see anyone lingering as night is closing in.
The treasure and the rest of the cultists lay on the floor of the courtyard to the bathhouse, and now that the band has taken care of the annoying Tiamat worshippers, what to do with the enchanted treasure?
Reed quickly gathers up the treasure he had put down when the fight started.
"We can unload this quickly," Reed says. "There's a place called the Blushing Mermaid a couple of blocks from here. It'll cost us a bit to get unmarked gold in return, but it'll be clean."
Reed pauses for a moment, cocks his head to one side and smiles.
"Well, the coins will likely be filthy, but they won't be enchanted. At least not by these Tiamat wackos."
“If you are sure this place will suffice, then let us do so quickly. I would like to report back to Captain Zodge, claim our payment and see what is next for us before resting”, Corlith replies to Reed.
”If you want to find someone to clean some treasure for you, this will be the place to find them.” Reed says. “Sometimes bad people need to be killed and sometimes they just need their belongings taken from them. You‘d be surprised how much easier it is to deal with a dead body on your own than it is to deal with unique jewelry.”
Checking to see if the others are following, Reed leaves the courtyard, waves down Roo and heads to the Blushing Mermaid.
”Oh and we’re definitely not staying at the Mermaid. It’s a dump. We can find the captain after.”
"Lead on Reed!" Archie calls out as she follows along. Lifting two of the crates she moves slower than normal, but her voice also betrays her general exhaustion at the day's activities, "I think once we've changed this money over and reported in, I might go home for a sleep, I'd rather not pay to sleep anywhere when I have a perfectly good bed awaiting me."
Reed leads the group out of the courtyard and down the street towards the tavern known as the Blushing Mermaid. "Hey guys, too many people know me in that place. I'm going to head out. I wish you all luck, and hope to never see any of you again." Mortlock gives them a wry smile and heads off in the direction of the docks.
Reed points out the sign as you all draw near. It hangs from one hook, crooked, with a faded mermaid painted on it. The sign isn’t the only indication you are near the tavern, you can hear the patrons inside. Mostly laughter, several shouts, and a din that carries well out past the doors at it’s entrance.
As you walk inside, the main room is full of people of all races. There is a bar in the back that has a few stools open from what you can see, with a Grung behind the bar, taking orders from loud and obviously drunk people. There are 6 tables of different sizes in front of you, all have people sitting in them, some turn to look as you enter, but most continue whatever conversation they were having.
To your left is a fireplace, with a weathered couch and a couple of chairs that are currently empty, save one chair that either has a pile of rags, or some creature that is wearing them, and to your right is the apparent reception desk where a female human is writing in a book standing behind the desk. Above the reception desk hangs a life-sized wooden mermaid, a dozen blackened and withered hands nailed to its body.
As soon as the last cultist's body hits the ground, Roo grabs it, dragging it back around toward the gates of the spa before taking it inside.
"I say we stage these bodies inside like they were fighting with the Cult of the Dead Three or whatever." He says, his head bobbing around. "I'm all about a good scrap but sometimes I like to sleep. Buck."
"Ah Virro, look! They have your excellent sense for collection!" Roo says as he points at the mermaid with the hands nailed to it. "As a matter of fact, I dare so you could learn a few things from them. Buc. Ah, a frog. Delicious things. Oh, but My Lady!"
Roo walks toward the desk and promptly hops up onto it. He takes a moment to ruffle his feathers, puff up, strut about on the desk for a second, and then begin to kick about in the paperwork as though he's in the barnyard.
"Excuse my madame. Errr. I assume you're a madame. So hard to tell with you featherless types. You all look the same. Be that as it may, I must know! Whose hands are those nailed upon that there mermaid? And for what reason are they there?"
Roorolled a 15 Stealth (at Disadvantage) to drag that body inside the spa without being seen by the locals or anyone else...
Reed leaves Roo to harass the poor person at the reception desk and makes a straight line for the bartender, deciding it's more likely that the bartender is more aware of what Reed needs.
Once there, he slips past the drunks and catches the eye of the Gung.
"This lot will have a drink to wash away the blood and grime of the day," Reed says. "But we've some other washing that needs doing too."
"Excuse you is right!" exclaims the woman behind the desk and she reaches around Roo and gathers the paperwork that he is scattering about. "Please! Get off my desk, it is not a perch!"
She looks up to the mermaid when Roo 'Stor asks about it, "Those? Why they are souvenirs left by those who decided not to pay their bill."
The grung looks up at Reed as he approaches, his eyes drawn to the halflings pouch as he pats it. "Yep, yep, yep, you'll want to see Silvy, yep, yep."The grung continues to nod as he says this, then raps on the bar, knock knock....knock....knock...knock. A few moments later a tabaxi appears from the hallway next to the bar and sidles up next to the grung. The two of them whisper a bit behind the bar and the the grung points at Reed.
The tabaxi leans over the bar towards Reed, "You lookin' for a meetin'? How many of ya?"
"A perch!?" Roo says, ruffling bus feathers and puffing up as big as he can. "A perch!? Sir, I will have you know that we Gallus sleep on a roost! A perch is where a common bird would sit! What poor manners you have! I dare say that perhaps if you were more respectful no one would try to stiff you for the bill! Hmph!"
He takes what's left of his dignity and jumps down off the desk.
"A perch indeed! Good day to you, you featherless scoundrel!"
Reed looks back at the group and at Roo acting up then he turns and looks up at the tabaxi.
"I think it might be best if we all come," Reed says then he beams, his smile getting even bigger. "Besides, there's a lot to wash and I need help carrying it all."
Archie, having sealed back up the crates before getting to the mermaid, stands awkwardly behind Reed. She tries to ignore Roo as much as possible knowing that if she gets involved, she'll likely have to put down the crates and take her eyes off of it and right now, that's not something she is willing to do.

Pulling out his crossbow, Virro looses a bolt at cultist D and deftly drops him.
Seeing the cultist in front of him fall, and knowing one had gone over the wall, Corlith scrambles up onto a bench to look for the runner.
Spotting them, he brings his hand up and releases a beam of cold, hoping to slow their escape.
Movement: across to look over the wall a little north and east of him.
Action: Ray of Frost on C. Attack: 20+7=27, 2+6=8 cold damage and speed reduced by 10 feet until start of Corlith’s next turn.
