At first it doesn't open but doesn't seem locked. Upon a stronger pull, the door pops out of the ground and Folki finds himself lying on his back with the door in his hand. Turns out, the "Trap door" was a very sturdy and very muddy board of wood with a handle that was wedged into a already existing hole in the ground. It was probably placed there to keep someone from accidentally falling down the hole. You see a wooden ladder rested along a wall of the hole. Both the board and the ladder are well-maintained.
Folki pops himself up with his wings. He throws the board to the side with force and stands ready with a hand axe in either hand. He is very angry at whoever is down there for making him look like a fool
"Okay! Let's go!" Elsara says in a stage whisper. She utters a small arcane spell as wardings begin to protect her and form into a mage armor, then begins to head down with her blade ready.
You all climb down the ladder and find yourselves in an ancient snakelike hallway. It is about 10ft wide. It goes 30ft forward (East) then 10ft North then it continues for another 20ft and finally turning north again. Going 20ft North you find yourselves in front of a 5ft wide old stone door. The hallway is lit by ancient magic torches that emit a orange flame.
"This is totally like what is in an adventure novel." Elsara whispers excitedly as they wander through the corridors. She looks over at the old stone door. "Do you think this will have deadly traps we need to disarm?"

Gym is right. It isn't the work of goblins. However, he can't discern anything about the architecture except the fact that whoever made it had technology and masonry on par with what we have today. In some ways, it may even be considered a bit more advanced. It was made about 2000 years ago and it still holds up under this huge weight of dirt and soil. One thing Gym understands is that it wasn't meant to be underground like it is now.

"Right, let's get inside." Elsara begins to push (or pull dependant on which appears appropriate) against the door to open it (most likely ineffectually with her small frame)
Surprisingly, Elsara is able to open the door without help. In fact, it's easier to open than it looks. Inside is a large room (50x50 ft) There is a large 30ft wide platform on the wall opposite to where the entrance is (North) that goes 10ft inside the room while the other 10ft is an indent in the wall. It is as tall as the room itself. The room has a high ceiling (60ft). On the platform is a large stone statue whose head is just 5ft shy of the ceiling. At the center of the room is a fire pit (10ft diameter) that has ashes in it. There are 4 standing torches on either side of the door and in front of the two walls on either side of the statue. There is a door of wood and stone to the left (West) and another one to the right (East). The one on the right is 10ft wide while the one on the left is 5. The left door is guarded by two goblins with scimitars who are very surprised to see you.
SURPRISE ROUND!
Take your action and roll initiative for next round.
Positioning: Elsara is standing in the described room in front of the door (south) The rest of you are still in the hallway but are close behind her in 3 rows. Rough estimate: -Walls-Els-Walls Ski Gym Fol Gen Val Let me know if you want a different position than the one shown above.
Elsara probably falls flat on her face as she pushes the door open, unexpectedly being able to move them. "Goblins!" Elsara exclaims, seeing the two as she gets back to her feet with her sword in hand.
It's still the surprise round. And falling flat doesn't change the stated positioning too much. Take your action. You start off prone since you fell down. However, if you don't wish to act, you may choose to not do anything in this or any other round for tactical reasons. It has no mechanical benefit.

Skriiod will move into the room and move towards the pair of goblins, if he is able to get to one of them for an attack he will otherwise he will move closer and take the dodge action.

Skiirod is able to reach Goblin1. He attacks with his long sword but the goblin's muscle memory kicks in and it blocks the attack with it's wooden shield.
Elsara picks herself up and moves fully into the room instead of standing near the door frame. She draws her short sword and takes an elegant defensive stance.

Elsara doesn't find any traps on the door.

My first real battle. Elsara thinks to herself. This is really happening.
Valwarin extends his hand and a frost wind envelops the goblin. He draws his scimita and moves next to him and attacks him.
