(A readied action could happen first, but doesn’t really matter. Not much I can do about him vanishing. Since you didn’t say otherwise, I’m assuming I felt someone physically there, it wasn’t just an illusion? And I no longer feel anything?)
(It was a transportation spell that is a mental trigger, so I believed that your readied action was not an issue. Yes when you put your hand on his back it was solid)
Mouth hanging open, Tyris spins in a slow circle, looking for any sign or trace of where the elf went or how it happened. If he sees nothing, he searches the area for any clues who the elf might be or where he might have come from.

(presumably when I put my sword to his throat I would have been able to see at least the side of his face over the shoulder was he wearing a mask like theLast Laugh thugs from last night?)
Laladak keeping an eye out sees Tyris try to question the person spying on you, and then the person disappears.
Tyris had noticed when he snuck up to the half-elf, he was not wearing a Last Laugh mask. After collection his wits, Tyris searches the rooftop but find nothing if interest.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing that his enemies could turn invisible. Laladak modifies his patrol to be right outside of the kids rooms. He checks in on them from time to time and levels his senses to SearchPerception23 as often as he can for any disturbance.
Tyris climbs back down from the roof and heads back to the orphanage to update Laladak on what happened. "There was someone watching from the rooftops again. I got the drop on them, but as soon as I got a hold of the man, he disappeared. He must have teleported somehow, there was no clue of who he was unfortunately."
"Yeah, I caught that last bit and it freaked me out. I dont have many strategies around people who can vanish into thin air. The way I see it the things targeting the kids could possibliy turn invisible. The only I idea I have to help us out in protecting this place is covering every entrance and exit with flour and cover he floor of the kids rooms."
“He didn’t turn invisible. I was holding on to him with a sword at his throat. If he’d simply turned invisible I’d have still had him. He seemed to teleport somehow.”
"My Man, That doesn't make me feel better at all. The fact that the guy didn't have the mask is a plus but we have no real way of linking those thugs to the disappearing children."
"I was hoping to find out who he was, and who he was working for. I...might have been a bit too aggressive about it. Not much else to do about it at the moment. For now, I'm going to head back out to the rooftops and keep watching until it's time to meet up again."
Tyris leaves the orphanage again and climbs to another rooftop, different form the ones he's used before, looking for a tall one one with a good view of both the orphanage and the surrounding buildings.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) nothing else of interest happens before 6pm when you are to meet the others for dinner.
(If you want to leave post on the main forum that you arrive back at the inn foe dinner, if you decide to stay here and watch some more post here. Shadow and Alben are about half way done at the Locksmith's and Ix'altha has just started adventure so it might be a day or 3 before everyone is ready to continue. )

Half-elf's initiative 14
Unknown 3rd party's initiative 25
As it's impossible for you to beat a 25 the unknown person gets to act.
Before your eyes and sword the half-elf vanishes, leaving you to wonder if you imagined the whole thing.

Laladak continues to make his rounds. Does he hear anything at all?
