Kae: As the group looks on Kae opens the package with her knife. It takes some doing as it seemed the "sender" did their best to prevent the contents from being damaged. Kae pries the lid open and is almost blinded by the magical light coming from the contents, 3 small vials of liquid, 1 blue, 1 yellow, and 1 pink. Kae also finds a note inside.
Aunt Milly, I hope this package and letter find you well and you and Uncle Tim are doing what you two do best. I have a job now! I know! I didn't either! To show my appreciation for what you and Uncle Tim have done for me I am sending you a couple of potions that are made at my new job. I hope you like them. You get 1 drink out of each of them but they are close to the same ones you used to sell at the farmers market. Enjoy Danni
Eddie and Zal: After seeing that the "treasure" Kae seemed so excited about was only a couple of test tubes with odd-colored liquid in them, you both sit by the door prepared for whatever is coming your way. The waterfall makes it difficult to hear but you are able to make out the sound of dragging footfalls kicking up gravel, like someone who drags their feet when they walk. They sound like they are getting closer and you start to hear what sounds like humming. Up the stone steps near the waterfall, you see a figure walking towards you.
Eddie T
o you, the figure's head looks like it is wobbling back and forth.
Zal:
You can tell the figure, a half-orc, has headphones in and appears to be shaking his head to the music
After a bit of squinty, Zalos eyes go a bit wide with confusion. "A... Is this half-orc freaking mental?" He whispers more to himself than anyone else, but then side-eyes Eddie as he more pointedly but quietly asks,"What's with the Spaz? Friend of yours you forgot?"The half-elf otherwise looks conflicted between wanting to stay on guard or relax and try to get the half-orcs attention.
But as a more sinister concern began eating away at the back of his mind, Zal took on a more guarded posture but otherwise appeared content to wait until the half-orc blundered into potential poking range with his spear. "Or maybe... He's Klarg's contact with the redbrands."

Arcana deals with Lore on magical things but can not identify them for you. You did have a "mysterious" pink liquid in your pack that brought you to your present state. As for the rest, unless you have skill and access to an Alchemy lab or an Identify you can not narrow down what each potion actually does.
As Eddie calls out it seems the half-orc doubles his efforts to flee the area.
Eddie rounds the bend in the tunnel to see the half-orc just leaving the tunnel entrance. You know it's a long hike back to the closest road, at least the one you drove in on, so either he has a long way to go or there is another trail close by.
Zalos clicked his tongue, but a moment hesitation in wanting to see if Eddie's words might be heeded lead instead to him giving chase after the fact. However, he stops just short at best only thirty or so feet away from Klarg's chamber, as his consciousness over leaving Cornchip (and by extension Kae) behind, as well as the whole run around the "spirit" gave the group gets the better of him.
"Yo Eddie!"He calls out at a stage whisper in leeriness of his voice echoing too much. "Let chicken little run! We'll track'em down later!"Zal continues, hoping to having caught the shifter in time. No matter what comes after, though he would be a bit sour faced if his word hadn't quite reached Eddie in time, he doubles back to Klarg's room and says to Kae. "Head's up. Some half-orc chicken flew the coop. Not sure if they'd actually know a thing or not, but if ya done thumbing the loot, might be time for us to move on one way or another. Still got the gobby on the other side to put the screws to 'fore we bounce."

Eddie gets to the end of the tunnel. It opens to the world outside. He signs. It's raining again. However, he does not see the 1/2 orc. He does see where it passed in a hurry but that trail disappears around the corner and possibly into the bush. Zal and Kae catch up soon after. The party gathers at the end of the tunnel. DM: Zal has found a ledger book that indicates a place called Phandelver. Kae has found a box with mysterious magical liquids that has the shipping address of the same small town. You have a decision of what to do next. You could pursue the 1/2 orc, where ever he has headed. You could turn and make the trip home, putting the tragedy of Sully's death behind you. Or, you can travel to this town, Phandelver, and figure out what connection it has to this mine, the goblin gang, the stolen packages, and the police officer that was held here.
"Oh for crying out loud, what is this?" Zal complains softly as he looks out to the rain. "Did Tempest really had to take a piss again?! Or-"He trails off groaning and pulling at his face. "... Well if we're gonna catch up with Chicken Little in ANY capacity, we gotta start making tracks 'fore the rain washes his trail away altogether. But honestly I... if that turns into another goose chase, I honestly don't know what I'll do to the punk."He admits as he looks to the ground with his hand balling up into a tight fist.
He then takes a breath before continuing, "Honestly, I have half a mind to go back in and kick in that gobbies teeth 'till I get more answers. But odds are he don't know squat, and I'd -- we'd be wasting time. So, that just leaves Phandelver." At this point he finally looks to Eddie and Kae. "I'm going there, and I'm getting answers one way or another. And make sure the gang or gangs wrapped up in this whole business pay in full for messing with Family... But that said, I... could of course still use your help in all this. But I'd understand if you two have had enough, and are okay with whatever, uhh..., closure you got from coming this far."

Your less-than-upstanding life has given you some insight into things most people would not understand. Though you have not been to Phandelver you have heard about it. It's a small town about 100 miles to the northeast of your present location, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. You had a friend, one Charlie by name, who mentioned it to you a couple of times along with his desire to move there. "Cops don't mess with ya there." he used to tell you. Eddie is sure he can guide the party there.
While pondering all these things the party makes its way back to where Kae and Eddie parked their car. They climb in and Zal follows with Cornchip in tow and the party sets out. (if there is something else folks want to do, let me know) The rain does not let up and the overcast darkens the sky, giving you visibility of only about 40 ft. At one point you start seeing blurred images on the side of the road as you pass. You turn off the main highway and start heading east. The road, a well-maintained 2-lane with a middle turn lane, quickly turns into a small 2-lane country road walled by pasture land and wire fence on one side and trees on the other. There are few houses and farmhouses here and there but soon they become scares. You occasionally see road signs: Phandelver 30 miles Eldermath Orchard 20 miles Phandelver 15 miles The rain lets up slightly as you top a hill. Looking over it you see the road ahead as it winds down about 5 miles to a small forested valley. Nestled in this valley you see street lights shining through the foliage. To your left, you see the sign: Welcome to Phandelver As you travel this last leg of your journey you count 40 or so buildings that make up this small community. Your passing car lights shine upon several old, dilapidated buildings as well, some full buildings some just partial walls. The clock in the car points out that it's about 9 p.m. Getting to the bottom of the hill you find no traffic nor anyone out and about. The road you are on leads to a stop sign in the middle of the town. As you stop, you look left then right. The only thing that appears to be open is what looks like a bar. A blue neon sign flashes in the front window: Stonehill Inn The sound of Old Country music can be heard coming from the bar.
Kae pulls the car over by the side of the road, near the Stonehill Inn, and turns it off. "I dunno about you guys, but I'm pooped. If this inn's actually an inn, it'd be a good time to catch some Zs. Unless either of you wanna sleep in the car, that is. Which personally I'm not super opposed to, but it kinda feels like we deserve actual beds." She gets out of the car, expecting the others to do the same, and leads the group into the inn with the intent of purchasing a room.
