Guardok allows Mei to do the talking, as she is in possession of the papers.
He has folded his cloak and attempted to put it in his new pack, or at least folded it over the backpack so as to not have to carry or wear it just yet. He is wearing the new boots though, with his old ones now in his pack.
He doesn't get involved about Mei being over-burdened, seeing as she already accepted that she will need to redress.
"Ok, let's go on an adventure. And get you two to Disyn", he says, knowing that for some this is a little more than just an adventure, but feeling it about sums things up for himself.
Kira gives Meithe slightest of smiles. "Good. I think you'll be much happier."
When Meiholds out the paper from Professor Lang, the tiefling woman takes it and inspects it closely. "Hmm. Mmhm. Yes, I see. It looks in order. You're early." She looks up directly at Mei. "You ready to go now? I'll check to see if they can take you now. Wait here," she says, as she walks off through an open archway.
"Yes, very early." Malvyn mumbles from behind the others, struggling to stay awake in spite of not having had any coffee yet. He too had accepted the cloak offered and was ready to head into the teleportation circle with the others as the paperwork had been checked out.
It is a couple of minutes later that the tiefling woman returns. "Well? They can take you now. Are you ready?" She waves for everyone to head further inside.
Meiwaddles after Guardok as they enter the building. The tiefling woman just shakes her head and slowly follows. As everyone gets inside there is a Strixhaven staff member wait who will cast the spell to actually teleport you. The tiefling motions to the circle inscribed in the floor. "Let's all get within the circle. There's plenty of room for you all."
She is right, the room is at least 50 feet per side and the circle takes up a large portion of it.
The purple-skinned tiefling nods, seeming a bit concerned over Mei's current outfit but keeping quiet on it and following into the teleportation circle, ready to leave for Silkmeadow.
You all make it to the circle, and the tiefling steps back a few paces. "Have a nice journey!" she calls out as the wizard casts the spell to teleport you all.
In an instant, you are elsewhere. You recognize the buildings that are a different shade of grey from Strixhaven as those of Aven Academy. Much more green tones, and from here you see large towers that must be classroom buildings. It is a new sight, as you hadn't really explored much of the campus here last time. As before though, you do note that, although the place is sparsely populated today, there are a great deal of avian beings.
Fortunately, there are also signs here that point to the various locations within and outside of campus. Being a bit more familiar with the area, Kira guides you through the campus to one of the main avenues that runs through the city.
Malvyn follows along quietly, looking with some desperation to pick up some coffee and perhaps even some breakfast to go before they leave for the wilderness.
Guardok has a bounce in his step as he follows after Kira, having missed the feeling of travelling to new places rather than being stuck in the same place for so long.
It doesn't take long before his belly starts to rumble though.
Kira continues on, oblivious to any lack of coffee or rumbling bellies. She glances both directions along the street, seeming to be trying to orient herself. "I think if we cross the street over there...," she points off to the left. "... we can catch a carriage that will take us to the far edge of town."
As she is looking, both Guardok and Malvyn (and Meiprobably!) see a number of little shops, many of which seem to serve coffee or tea or other little food items. All things that might be perfect for a student on the go. Although they look mostly quiet at this hour on a Saturday.
"Just need to make some final preparations before we head out into the wilds, and I think your stomach agrees." Malvyn says with a grin to Guardok and makes his way over to the first coffee shop they pass, quickly trying to get himself a quite large coffee and some sort of sandwich to go.
It does turn out that that first coffee shop is indeed open. Most of the shops do seem to be open, though there are few patrons yet this morning. Malvynfinds there is little in the way of sandwiches really. But there are both pastries and breads of various sorts. The young gnomish woman behind the counter already is preparing the coffee while waiting for the tiefling to order.
She glances to Guardok and the others. "Anything I can be getting for you?"
Kira pauses as she notices Guardok and Malvyngrabbing something to eat and drink. "I suppose it's not a bad idea to grab something now," she observes. "You want to get something Mei? Coffee or tea? A scone or pastry?" She orders some tea for herself and a scone as she had just mentioned. The young gnome quickly has the orders for Guardok and Malvyn, then starts to prepare Kira's items as she waits to see if Meiwill order anything.
Malvyn is in no real hurry, drinking his coffee and slowly enjoying his pastry as he waits for the others outside coffee shop, and if time would happen to permit he would definitely go back inside for a second coffee.

Guardok wastes no time in heading further inside as directed, his movements almost flowing across the ground in his usual manner when he rushes.
"Last one there carries all Mei's extra stuff!", he says with a chuckle.
Mei quite likes the sound of that and looks every bit like a sprinting penguin as she chases after him.

"Absolutely, but we are so early nothing seems to be open", Guardok grumbles as his belly rumbles.
"Maybe when we get to the far edge of town something there will be open?", he suggests.

Guardok surveys the Viennoiserie section, and chooses a nice sweet cinnamon knotted pastry, pointing at it.
"I will have on of those, please", he asks with a smile. "They smell delicious and look so fresh".
Too tired still to make any difficult decisions, Malvyn orders a large coffee and the same kind of pastry Guardok did, to go.
Kira pauses as she notices Guardok and Malvyn grabbing something to eat and drink. "I suppose it's not a bad idea to grab something now," she observes. "You want to get something Mei? Coffee or tea?
