Guardok writes all the pertinent information he is studying into a script, and runs lines with either Rubina or one of his floor mates who are willing to give him the help. At the end of it, he has a fairly short two person play, which seems to be a conversation between two people on the finer details of Slaadi.
Performance (with Advantage and student die from gymnastics): (7, 8)+5+4=17
During one evening of study in the lounge, Mei is once again nodding off so decides to paint herself flash cards. In detailed drawings, each type of Slaadi is represented and depicts the creatures’ colors and associated characteristics.
By the time she’s finished, the flash card Slaadi are also given names and personalities, to the point that Mei refers to them *by* those names. “And Slaamantha is a blue Slaadi, capable of inflicting chaos phage, a disease commonly known as slaad fever.” In the flashcard scene with Slamantha is also a man wearing a wizard hat with a green slaadi bursting through his stomach. She grimaces, realizing she might’ve made it *too* detailed.
((Mei will use Performance for the study phase! And will also use her student die from the Artists Society to add a d4 to her roll. Performance: 17))
On his walks Knap tries to convey class concepts to birds, frogs and any other critters. He knows they probably already know about magical mathematics and intricacies of fluid dynamics and wouldn’t want to listen to him but it’s good practice for knap to verbalise the concepts. He consolidates this knowledge with the note taking techniques learned from Malvyn.

[regarding previous call for nature check w/adv. I wasn’t sure if that was for my previous nature roll and the pond reeds or something else additional.
The purple-skinned tiefling would thank the bespectacled Professor Flintwind for her kind assistance and get to work in the secluded Scriptoria Collection, grateful to have Mei to assist him even though she had taken some breaks from that, but Malvyn was used to having the petite oracle dreaming beside him and as long as it wasn't bad dreams he deserved every bit of peaceful rest she could have.

Malvyn would spend time with the others in the lounge, but also some for himself, studying diligently everything there was to read about the Slaadi in the old-fashioned way.
Malvynand Meimanage to find a section with older copies of the Strixhaven Star. Going through it, they do seem to only cover about 60 years. There is no comprehensive index, but you do find a list of contents in each edition that gives you a good idea of what is inside. There are no mentions of any bullywugs. Nor anything about objects suddenly transmutting on campus.
You do see notes about various supernatural creatures being seen on campus. Even rumors of a creature called a Daemogoth that lurked far into the Sedgemoor swamp.
There is also an interesting article about a group of first-years that saved the day when a couple of the Cogwork Archivists went haywire in the Biblioplex during Orientation. The members of the group were Aelyn, Aithne, Ambre, Arvol, and Klok. And the article was written by Arvol Flintwind.
Unfortunately, that's about all you found. Perhaps there's smaller articles you missed, but it would take way more time to read through everything.
Out by the pond, Knap is easily able to find the various sizes of reeds he needs for his pan flute. And from the prior health plants with just the right shape to hold up over time. He cuts them so that he can trim and assemble them later.
In the Scriptoria (feel free to continue!! Just wanted to eat up that little breadcrumb real quick lol!):
Mei is particularly interested in the the article by Arvol Flintwind. Eyes wide, she looks up at Malvyn from where she was taking notes and points to the author's name. "Isn't our librarian's name Flintwind too?" she asks, wondering, if there's a connection, if she might know more about the incident.
"You know, as terrible as all of it is, it's... sort of... exciting. T-trying to solve it, I mean. So many of my Dreams I'm just a--" her gazes slides downward, shoulders slumping slightly, "--a passive viewer. All the things I've seen since I started Dreaming and I've n-never been able to... to do anything about them. But this..." There's just the barest sheen over her eyes as she glances up again and smiles, "I'm glad we're doing something about it."
Her thankful expression is suddenly distorted by a yawn she tries to stifle behind her hand. Mei then rubs her eye and asks, "Should we ask Professor Flintwind about it?"
(OOC - The above will be a little bit out of order but go ahead and respond to that if you wish AND the part below.)
Monday morning arrives and the day of your exam is here. Everyone has done well with their preparations and feels varying degrees of confidence about their chances. (Everyone gets 1 re-roll on the exam, having met the DC 12 on your checks.) Of course, your other classes do not stop for the exam, but those all pass by relatively quickly and you are all gathering together for your Magical Physiologies class.
Professor Lang greets you all as you enter, urging everyone to get settled quickly so the exam can start promptly. At exactly 1pm she announces, "Please begin your exams. Do not forget to put your name on the packet. Eyes need to stay on your own papers. And no use of magic during the exam." Everyone receives a packet of papers.
The first part deals with Slaad Facts and is multiple choice. Choose the correct answers about red, blue, green, gray, and death slaadi by making an Arcana Check.
The second part is about Defusing Slaad Confrontations and involves writing short answers about ways to keep slaadi calm during unexpected encounters. Write an insightful essay by making an Insight Check.
(Remember you may use Student Dice. You can make both rolls first and then decide any re-rolls. When making the re-roll you may keep whichever result you want - ok, probably the higher one!)
(OOC - Final comment. I revised the discussion from the last class to have Melwythorne answer one of the questions rather than Urzmaktok, as I realized the orc is a second year. He wouldn't be in the class! It has little relevance, but just wanted to fix it.)
No use of magic during the exam. Mei blushes as her hands drop mid-cast to ask for the Dryad's Guidance. She glances around the room, trying to make eye contact with each of her floormates to wish them luck and offer an encouraging smile (to Cadoras and Quentillius as well if she can).
As her packet of papers arrive, she wastes no time in starting. It feels just like home, this pressure. Like her Grandmother even now hovers over her shoulder, watching with disapproving tuts and sighs as she rewrites spell script or attempts to read tea leaves. Her whole life has been one big exam. Surely she can handle this.
Mae is pretty sure she can handle a situation with slaadi, as she writes about ways to interpret their motives and resolve hairy situations, but she feels far less confident about the multiple choice section. Are there supposed to be this many "C" answers? Maybe if she makes a design with the answer sheet...
Guardok fidgets as the exam packets are passed around, feeling far from confident. His first ever exam. He normally enjoyed firsts, but not this time. He thinks back to those at the circus, and feels the weight of pressure on his shoulders. The expectation of success and the guilt that would come with failure.
He doesn't notice Mei's glance so distracted is he, which is a shame because it would undoubtedly have calmed his nerves.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
In the Scriptoria
The purple-skinned tiefling seems more interested in the thing called a Daemogoth, making a mental not of researching that further, merely nodding as Mei mentions the Flintwind name correlation.
Malvyn gets a concerned look as he notices the sheen on the petite oracle's eyes, feeling like he should give her a comforting hug or something but quickly settling for a reassuring smile and a brief gentle comforting hand on her arm. "Yes, asking Professor Flintwind if she knows anything about this Cogwork Archivists incident sounds like a good investigative measure. It was some time ago and she was more likely a student by that time, but maybe there's a connection. First-year students saving the day, sounds like us." Malvyn says with a grin as he finishes up his research for the day, hoping to perk the dreamer up a bit. "I too hope we can get to the bottom of this Mei, and maybe your dreams will be less...ominous." He then says with sincere concern in his fiery-red eyes.
To say Malvyn is nervous over his first ever exam would be quite an understatement, but with feeling the reassurance of his friends and Aurora, and seeking confidence from the dark tome in his shoulder bag, the purple-skinned tiefling finally seems ready to take his tests.
