Starker may have been untouched by the latest encounter but he is out of all spell slots except one L1. A rest would be welcome.
Cirrus Magnus brings the key to Starker, who in turn heads to the door of the cell where ther blue guy and the almost pining-for-the-fjords Dwarf are located.
Cirrus Magnus then bounds atop the corpse of the blue dragon, hops up and down, and chitters his triumph whilst waving about his fez. (Cirrus’ fez, not the dragon’s.)
Starker is able to unlock the barred door holding the blue man and the dwarf. The blue man moves to the dwarf's side and tries to arouse him, "Belgger! Belgger! We must go. The dragon is dead. Belgger! Awake!" The dwarf rouses, his eyes rolling his his head. He is delirious and it looks doubtful that he can stand. The blue man turns to Starker and stands. He bows his head quickly and speaks, "I am Henilen, resident of Waterdeep. The orcs captured me many months ago after attacking my caravan. Belgger here," gesturing to the dwarf who lolls about on cue, "was taken in a similar manner. The dragon hoped to convert us to agents under its control. We have resisted."
He takes a small step forward, "We must go! There is danger here far beyond the dragon." As he is beseeching you he stops, "What time of day is it?" There is urgency in his voice.
Henilen, my name is Chadwick, paladin of Tyr. Our party was sent to track down and rescue hostages that were taken from Shalecliff yesterday. We hadn't expected to find additional prisoners, but we're glad we did and will help you get out of here.
To the rest of the party: How many healing potions do we have left? I have two spells left (first) so I can use one to heal Belgger. If the party has less than three Chadwick will cast cure wounds, or if the dwarf isn't awake enough to ingest it. Roll sent as condition...rolled minimum as expected (3 total). I'm being stingy about my heals because I want to save the spell slots for divine smite against the Evil Dark Thing.
After the healing Chadwich will continue his questioning. Henilen, what other dangers do you speak of? We’ve already dispatched twenty or so orcs along with the orcs leading them if that is what you speak of.
Pause for answer. Do you know of any other prisoners, and where they might be held?

Gneuman stands up slowly, rubs the back of his head and looks around, "It appears that we have very little time and we are in no condition to face additional foes. I would suggest that those that can, tend to those who need medical attention. The others should quickly search the area." The gnome looks at Henilen, "Is there anything else that you can tell us about this place?"
Starker gives Chadwick the healing potion he got in town to distribute as he thinks best.
”it seems to me that the orcs were somehow able to survive the nights somewhere around here. Do orcs often team up with dealers of necrotic damage? If not, did anyone see anything that looked like holy ground or some other place we could hole up?”

Immediately after the group dispatches the Dragon and the last Orc. Kragen rushes to assist those in need, Gnueman being the first. He places his Potion of Healing in Gnuemans hands and quietly says "You fought bravely my friend, drink this and it will provide some relief from your wounds". As he continues to set and dress his wounds.
Once Kragen feels Gnueman is reasonably stable, Kragen stands up and moves to Chadwicks side and evaluates the condition of the captives. Dressing any wounds, offering water and some rations of jerky.
"My name is Kragen Gravelbeard, of Clan Delhalls, humble servant of Tyr. Let me tend your wounds, Friends." Continues to gently work on Belgger and then Henilen.
Rolled for healing potion from Starker for Belgger (8 total) and updated used spell slot.
At some point while chatting with the prisoners Chadwick will use Devine Sense. I suspect if the Evil Night was already within 60' of us we would probably know it.
Henilen seems a bit overwhelmed by all of the attention. He remains by the side of Belgger and is clearly concerned about the dwarf's health. Chadwick's curing spell seems to ease his discomfort a bit. He remains in a state of exhaustion, though. Henilen appears satisfied with Belgger's improvements to give more attention to your questions.
"Perhaps, I should start with the start," he begins. "I was captured traveling with a small trade caravan. I deal in interesting trinkets and baubles. My home is in Waterdeep. I have clients from all over the Sword Coast. This caravan was attacked by the orcs loyal to the dragon Azurixtan. Now the dead dragon Azurixtan. They brought me here as a prisoner after looting the caravan. I believe that the leader of the orcs has hidden away my magic wand in their treasure hoard. It is a yew wood wand with a large clear crystal set in the tip. I would like to retrieve that if it is still here." He starts to look over towards the bedrolls and pile of crates and barrels by the tables. "This first. After being here for a while, Belgger was brought. He was working as a guard for a trade caravan from the Spine of the World mountains. His clan has a mine there and they were transporting smelted ores to Mirabar. Azurixtan spent the days wearing us down and attempting to convert us to his service. He wanted agents and spies working for him. For a dragon so young, he was already arrogant and greedy. It is good you ended him now. He buries his hoard under the sands. Stay away from the scattered coins. Those are traps set by Azurixtan to capture intruders." He then looks around the walls of the cave. "There is something here. Something powerful. Azurixtan made some kind of deal with it. They bring other prisoners from caravans and feed them to this....thing. The husks of their bodies are tossed over the cliff. The dragon made Belgger and I watch this as proof of his power. And, proof of our fates if we deny him. You arrived none too soon for Belgger. He was sure to be fed to the being soon."
Henilen then becomes very focused. "We must be gone from this place by night. The being will surely send its agents to come for us now that Azuixtan is dead. Its hunger has no bottom."
Starker asks the cleric and the paladin , “Is it too late to heal a couple of the dead orcs? If not, we could heal them and bind them to the poles over there in the SW of the room so that the creature might be sated with their flesh and/or spirit as we run back to town. Or perhaps it would be better to bind and then to heal them?”
I'm picking up the sense of something powerful….and…and alien. I've never sensed anything like this before. I can't locate the source, but it is nearby. Chadwick’s normal overly confident timber and demeanor is lacking as he recounts what he senses, which adds to the unsettling information.
I am loath to leave this place without knowing the fate of the other hostages, but not sure how much good we can do in our weakened state. And we have Henilen and Belggor’s safety to consider.
I propose we head out and march a couple of hours to get some distance from this place. Then we can come back in the morning and continue our search for survivors.
Henilen, Belggor, can you two manage a walk or will you need assistance?
Strarker, the orcs are clearly evil, but healing them to leave them as bait is not something I would do even to an enemy. I feel our remaining healing spells are best saved for our party.
Chadwick continues to scan the area while discussing the plans, his eyes darting around the cave.
Starker says “while it is neither the time nor the place for such a debate I do look forward to an evening at an inn where over an ale we can discuss this moral code of yours that allows you to draw such a fine line between ambushing or killing them while they sleep on the one side and Healing them and leaving them to their fate on the other. But as the abilities are given to you, so is the choice and responsibility for using or for not using them yours alone. ”
Starker investigates/perceives the piles of bedding (?) in the NE side of the room, looking for the blue person’s wand or anything else of use/interest.
Starker begins to search through the orc camp area of the cave. The bedrolls line the walls. There is a pile of equipment, boxes, crates, barrels and casks as well. Searching through the bed rolls finds nothing of interest.

Henilen, Belggor, can you two manage a walk or will you need assistance?
Henilen responds to your question, "I am weak. I can walk, but slowly." He looks to Belgger who seems to be in less pain, but is slumped against the wall. "I do not think he will be able to carry himself in any way."
“Chadwick, if you are sensing something evil, we should probably make haste.” “However I am loathe to leave without knowing if the villagers are still alive?!” “In our condition makes it challenging however I feel compelled to complete a hasty search for clues!”
“When we exit, i can assist Belgger out”. “We could use the lake/rivers edge and the bluffs as cover as we leave?” “Then decide our stopping point.”
Kragen rises and begins to quickly look around for clues to the Shalecliff folk, praying for their safe return. (Challenging without the map) however starts in the cells and then transitions to following the walls of the room.
Henilen responds to Kragen's concerns, "I have not seen any sign of others for a very long time. If you are looking for recently captured people, they have not been brought to this cavern."
With nods and forced smiles, Trolkarl trudges toward the stairs, exhausted from the twenty-mile march and following battles.
I am not in my best form, but Kragen is absolutely right! Even injured and tired, we have more skill and resources than the poor people of Shalecliff taken by the orcs. We must be sure we are not leaving them behind. Let's get our new friends from Waterdeep and the people of Shalecliff to safety.
Trolkarl will proceed back up to estimate the daylight left.
Starker continues to investigate the area in the NE of the cavern looking for the wand or other interesting items. Starker will continue to search until 3 people leave the cavern and then he will join them.
If he finishes and the bulk of the party is still in the cavern he will go over to where Hoid is and start a Short Rest.
