Chadwick using the message cantrip whispers back "Glad you're safe. We are ok and everything here died when we killed the big bad. The pipes are rattling like something might blow, so sooner would be better. "
Chadwick then shares the conversation with The Company.
"Kragen can you ritually cast dispell magic on the door?"
”yes I can, would it be better if I ritually cast detect poison/disease and scan the room (including the throne and chests) before detect magic? That way, if there are more traps we might detect their convention.”
assuming Chadwick and the others agree.
Kragen begins into a ritual involving arm/hand movements and many prayers to Tyr. This takes 10 minutes
ritual cast Detect Poison/Disease.
once done, then scans the doorway, hallway into the throne room and meticulously inspects the Throne room for signs of poison/disease. Notes any hot spots.
then repeats the same course of action with Detect Magic.
Starker to Chadwick:”I am not sure of the time ordering. It could be the creatures on your side of the door died because I *single-handedly* defeated my two foes on my side of the door. Tell Hoid, please.”
Kragen casts Detect Magic. The door still radiates magic, abjuration school.
Everything here is faintly magical, mostly necromancy. There is something radiating magic in the chest by the big chair in the corner, abjuration school. The chest itself radiates abjuration magic.

Returning to the group, Kragen communicates what he has found.
”Door is still magically controlled, without something to counter that, it’s not opening, or there is a mechanism in the room somewhere? There is still fell necromantic aura about the place, this will need addressing once we secure our exit. The chest appear to radiant adjusting itself and also within. I interpret that there is an item within and protected by a magic spell on the chest.”
looks dour “My abilities to channel Tyrs divine power is spent until I rest, pray and recuperate. I suggest we have Starker retrieve help from the townsfolk or we rest in place and secure our escape?”
”Chadwick, does the town have any known conjurers that might help us?”

looks to all for input
How long do we need to rest?
8 hours for me to recover any spellcasting abilities
I do not gain much benefit from a short rest. Others may though??
Warlock and fighters benefit the most froma short rest. I would think just spending hit dice would be nice also for everyone if we didn’t have the fear of the place blowing up on us.
The Company finds itself in the lull after a great struggle. The Alewight is defeated. His corruption can hopefully be put to an end. It was a brutal fight with momentum swinging back and forth. The grit and determination of The Company held out in the end. Now you stand victorious, but separated. A magically sealed door cutting Starker off from the rest of the group with only a murder monkey to keep him company. Kragen has discovered that the chest on the dais has abjuration magic upon it, and, within it. Suggesting an item of some kind protected within. The pipes, fittings and valves above all seem to be deteriorating and diminishing. The maze of this plumbing has become less dense and shallower on the ceiling of the room. A gentle "pop" occurs and the sphere of force created by the Bead of Force disappears.
Starker ‘messages’ Chadwick: “I will rest. When I can I will Knock the door open, unless you know of a mage I can contact in town who might provide the service.”
Starker casts Knockupon the door. It opens with a loud RAP, All inside the room are startled, reaching for weapons. Cyrus appears in the doorway. Several of you keep a hand on your weapon for a moment anyway. “Can’t be too sure with that one…”

Kragen wakes weary from yesterdays battle, although sleeping in this vile place has still left him restless and unnerved. As he is rummaging through his pack for some rations, looks to the group.
"Prior to our rest, i prepared myself for purifying this retched place and removing the remaining accursed brew from this place. Suggestions on the chest?"
Kragen casts Locate Object, seeking the Fey Warden's Glaive that the Beer Ghoul ran off with. Once Kragen retrieves the Glaive.
Then proceeds to cast Find Traps in the Pale Alewight's room, seeking confirmation of the trap on the Chest and any others. Once confirmed, Kragen looks to the group.
"Shall i attempt to dispel the trap?"
Awaiting an answer
"Sir Chadwick, i would like to spend the time needed, once we have cleared the remaining brewery, of removing all the taint the Pale Alewight left in this place."
Starker:”I suggest the strone ones among us work to move the chest out of this room while the rest of us examine the corpses and the throne and the walls, dloors, and ceilings to see if there is aught else we should remove. If allowed to close the door will likely lock again, so perhaps the door could be removed from its hinges or something again used to wedge it. <hands glaive to Kragen> i took this from the corpse of one of the two opponents I killed singlehandedly when <looking triumphantly at Hoid> i was in ‘the thick of battle’”
Starts to examine corpses (if any, starting with Alewight) for loot or souvenirs and then the walls, ceilings, floors. If Alewight is still here, removes liver and kidneys for preservation and study.
(not sure if you want investigation or perception, sending both)

"I think dispell magic first may be more prudent, those pipes look like they might blow"
Listening to Chadwick’s guidance, Kragen proceeds with Detect Magic.

Is there one chest or two?
Just one

A long rest takes place.
Starker casts Knockupon the door. It opens with a loud RAP, All inside the room are startled, reaching for weapons. Cyrus appears in the doorway. Several of you keep a hand on your weapon for a moment anyway. “Can’t be too sure with that one…”
Does the door require propping open as before?

The Knock suspends the Arcane Lock for 10 minutes. It does not dispel it.
Kragen begins to cast Locate Object on the Fey Warden's Glaive and then he sees it. Right there. In Starker's hands.
Finally, Kragen casts Find Traps and locates no traps in the area, the chest included.
Starker:”I suggest the strone ones among us work to move the chest out of this room while the rest of us examine the corpses and the throne and the walls, dloors, and ceilings to see if there is aught else we should remove. Hoid: “Humph…”
The Alewight’s body is necrotic and deteriorated. Just gooey stuff on Starker’s, more controlled, necropsy.
Searching the room and other corpse/piles of components turns up nothing of value.
