Using Mage Hand to touch the door you are successful. The door is touched by your spell. Pushing on it with the spell yields no result. There is nothing available to pull upon.
Trolkarl walks up to the door, rolls his neck a bit and SHOVES. STR check = 22 (Nat 20). The door in the wall glides into the wall and rotates to reveal a hallway beyond.
The secret door quietly pivots open, into a hallway beyond. The floor of the hall is tiled in cream colored marble inlaid with mother of pearl and bronze. The walls and ceiling are the natural stone of the mountain. The ceiling has a geometric pattern of interlaced squares carved into it and is 20 feet high. The air is cold here and still. It seems rather stale as well. You can feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end as you enter.
'I don't think we're we're going to surprise anyone, so I'm going to toss a couple of the non-magic weapons non-silver weapons down the hall and see if it triggers any traps."
He'll look around at everyone and see if anyone has any objections. If not he slides a couple down the floor as far as he can. He'll then wait 2-3 minutes and listen to see if he can hear anything.
Also did all the magic/silver weapons get claimed? Chadwick is already well stocked, but I don't want to leave treasure behind.
As Chadwick and The Company assembles to enter the secret corridor, he pulls his holy water and splashes droplets while muttering prayers to Tyr to keep them safe.
You enter the hall with a new guest in The Company. Kragen has Blessed you.
The hall echoes your footsteps upon the marble. The air is thick and still. Nothing is moving except the hair on the back of your necks standing on end.
You perceive that the hall opens into a larger room ahead.
The hallway opens into a large chamber. The ceiling rises to 25 feet above you and is covered in bas-relief depicting geometric partitions. Each partition has a themed fresco showing scenes of alien landscapes, winged reptilian creatures, battles between armies, depictions of twisted and tortured people or filled with sigils and runes of power. You stand at one end with two large statues made of gold and silver that are inlaid with semi-precious stones. Each depicts a dragon coiled up and facing the far end of the room. The floor is of a translucent black stone with what appears to be ropes of flames writhing slowly under the surface. The far end of the room has a large altar in front of a skull face filling the wall from floor to ceiling. The massive skull behind the altar looms at least 20 feet high, its empty gaze fixed on you. Eerie red-orange light pulses from the eye sockets, nose hole and mouth of the skull in rhythm with the ropes of flames in the floor. The rhythm is like a heartbeat. Two low stone statues of skulls sit on each side of the altar. There are some items sitting atop the altar along with an open tome. It is difficult to see what the items are from this distance. There is an inscription across the front of the altar that is inlaid in gold. It reads: “Asqg zaqxslx moxsltxz dtx iudtpayx. Asqg dyodt osqilez dtx zxuqxw zioq.”
The scale of the chamber is oppressive—built for rituals long lost to mortal memory. The inlaid dragons stare down the length of the room like guardians or judges, their jeweled eyes faintly gleaming. The bas-reliefs above cast angular shadows across the floor, giving the illusion that the partitions are watching or shifting with your movement. The translucent black floor gives just enough light from the writhing fire below to reflect your silhouettes — slightly delayed, as if the shadows move just a breath too slow.
Chadwick whistles looking over the room. "I priced a parlor like a third of this size and it was still outrageous, being an evil lich must pay well.
Oh don't look so judgey Kragen, I'm not turning evil just to pay for some stone inlays." Then quieter "They are amazing looking though."
It may be a toss up if Chadwick's budding romance or interest in architecture is getting more annoying. Maybe Hoid foresaw this and that's the reason he left?
Chadwick turns to the Fey "Shall we go investigate the alter? You have a name?" He heads towards the back of the hall. Trying to chat with it.
"If I don't don't melt first I'll let you know when I get close enough to examine the alter!" He hollars back.
When Chadwick gets close enough to make out what the other items are on the alter he'll stop and give it the once over and see if he can figure anything out. Hopefully this is 15' or more away.
Skill checks:
Arcana (maybe he's picked up something from hanging with wizards.) 3...no he hasn't
History: 3 (nat 1)
Investigation: 3 (oh come on!)
Religion: 13
Chadwick gets distracted once he gets close enough to the alter to see it and starts talking to the Fey about the cost of marble and granite. Once he remembers why he's actually there he shares any info he discovers with his religion check.
Chadwick approaches the altar. You notice the writhing flames in the floor increase in intensity when he holler's back to you. On the altar sit a dagger, a tarnished silver chalice, an open tome and a small silver box with a simple hinged lid. The altar and embellishments are consistent with the worship of Bhaal, the god of murder and ritualistic killings.
Starker examines the tome. It lies flay on the altar, open to pages in the middle. The pages shift in a rhythmic manner back and forth to a new page each time. This calls to mind the tidal flow of breath in and breath out. The pages are covered in script he cannot decipher. The inscription and outside of the tome are not visible without picking it up.

Sorry all, just got back in the states. Here is what's on the alter, using my Eagle Eyes!
The items on the altar are a dagger, a chalice, a small silver box and an open tome.

“Well done Trolkarl, let’s proceed with caution. Standard marching order?”
(( Arrange the tokens in your marching order. ))
Jer, don’t forget you have spirit guardians in reserve?
Do we want Bless or Protection from evil?
Chadwick looks up at the mention of his name. Apparently he had been writing? Shirley he wasn't writing a love letter to Lady Arin!
Chadwick scampers over to the secret door, casts light with the driftglobe (if it ran out) and peers down the hall.
"Bless might not be a bad idea Kragen, who knows what's down there (pause) well I think we know there isn't anything good down there."
Once bless is cast he proceeds down the hall.
"I think it might be best if the next person is at least 10' back, even if you are outside my aura of protection.'
'I don't think we're we're going to surprise anyone, so I'm going to toss a couple of the non-magic weapons non-silver weapons down the hall and see if it triggers any traps."

Starker has the unIdentified magic dagger, at least for now.
The weapons clatter across the marble floor as they slide down the hall. Any dead that are not undead would be awakened by the din.
Nothing else happens.
Chadwick tosses several weapons down the hallway generating a great commotion. No response seems to occur. You are all standing in the mausoleum room.
Starker:”I think perhaps someone other than I should go first and second. I also suggest we not all be in a line.
”Is there one among you who can summon something that can go well ahead of us to find traps, perhaps by setiinh the off?”
"Let's go smite the evil, loot the treasure, and get home in time for dinner!" Chadwick says too cheerily for the evil radiating from the place.
He taps the floor with the halberd as he proceeds to hopefully set off the traps before he steps on them.
<party arranged in battle formation>

Bless L1 on Chadwick, Yartol and Trolkarl
Trolkarl summons a Fuming Fey summon fey. Instructs it to stay 5’ ahead of Chadwick in the direction we travel.
He will then take a moment to regain the pact slot with the pearl of power.
