One of the massive centipedes, undeterred by the party's readiness, slithers closer to Ella with lightning speed. Its segmented body ripples as it advances, and with swift, venomous fangs, it lunges to strike.

Ella doesn't seem affected by the poison . The Sacred Flame strikes the Giant Centipede, the creature convulses violently, writhing in agony as the radiant energy courses through its segmented body. The centipede lets out a high-pitched screech, its chitinous exoskeleton crackling and burning from the intense light, before ultimately collapsing into a smouldering heap, its form disintegrating into ash.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Walt clutches the orb around his chest and points his finger towards the remaining insect. "What is that!?!? Burn it!" He would shout before launching a fire bolt towards the creature.
The fiery blast engulfs the creature, its chitinous exoskeleton crackling and sizzling as the flames consume it. The centipede writhes for a moment in agony before succumbing to the overwhelming fire, its form charred and lifeless on the forest floor. The acrid scent of burning chitin lingers in the air as the flames subside.

"Yeah! Got it!" Dracor would shout with a grin. "Did everyone see that? I sure hope so." As he blew on the tip of his finger before sliding it into the pocket of his nobleman's attire as though he were holstering a gun that doesn't exist.
"Hey now, don't be jealous Ella. You did a good job too with the other bug. I guess. It is good to see everyone helping out on this adventure!" He would say with a smile as he clapped his hands together. "alright! So we ready to go? Any more bugs around?"
Barely having had the time to react at the enemies approaching before they were dispatched, Preston gives a cursory glance at the surroundings, unsure if more foes are about to jump at them.
When he feels that the coast is clear, he releases the grip on his sword and returns to his position at the front of the group.
"It looks like we can continue moving. Stay sharp, there may be more foes as we travel into the woods.", he says to the group.
Wulcrath doesn’t even have time to draw his sword before the centipedes are decisively dealt with. Maybe he ought to invest in a little magic sometime? He shudders a bit as the scent of the burning bugs invades his nose.
The Red Dragonborn smiles kindly at Dracor and Ella as the two banter. “I’d say you both did well. You dealt with them quite handily.” His eyes trail over to the burning husks of the creatures as he thinks. “Both of your talents are quite remarkable… Very deserving of credit.” He’ll never quite get used to that burning smell…
He gives a nod at Preston as the Paladin speaks. “Right then, the search continues. Our heroes unabated hmm?” He jokes lightly.
After a while, the trail curves gently, revealing a cluster of large rocks enveloped in lush ivy and moss that cling to their rough surfaces. The rocks seem to loom mysteriously amidst the foliage, casting deep shadows and creating a natural partition in the dense woods. Amongst the entwined ivy and moss, it appears there might be a small cavern or some sort of hidden crevice. The path winds closely by these rocks and continues ahead, leading deeper into the forest.

Preston looks over the map. This seems to be the right way. There’s even the fallen tree that they just passed. And according to the map, this is where the strange stone possibly originated from.
"Wulcrath, do you still have that strange stone we found at the farm?", he asks. "There’s a note about it on the map. Perhaps we can look around for clues about what we’ll find up ahead."
"Hmm?" Wulcrath perks up as Preston asks about the stone. "Well, let's see?" Digging around in his pack, the Dragonborn pokes around for a few moments, frowning to himself a little as he realizes he's quite stoneless. He left the clear stone in the Well where it was at the farm. Was that it? He doesn't think so, it looked fairly unremarkable. "Sorry friend, I don't." He answers simply, scratching the beck of his neck as he thinks. "Hal mentioned one in his journal, said it was 'ugly', and that he'd later lost it." The Fighter taps his foot as he looks around. "I didn't find any stone of note back at the farm other than a strangely clear one on the well, but I left it there."
The Young Dragonborn sighs, disappointed in himself. Should he have maybe grabbed it? His mind turns to the coin he discovered behind the clear stone though. "Well, I found a coin... in the well's stone?" With Ella there to hear that Wulcrath had simply taken it, he suddenly feels a little nervous for some reason. He thought he would just scoop it up and that would be that, but now that it seemed pertinent...
