"There seems to be an agreement then that all of you will take on this task. You will find Morahn in his room." says Governor Nighhill. He then opens the door escorting the party out of the study.
Nesim offers a bow "I cannot reward you, but please find Leosin."
Krackle would scamper over to the large lizard and give him a few pats on the head before climbing up on to his back. Once up on the lizard he would quickly inspect the saddle bags and ensure that the food for Jr. was loaded before following the man out the door.
The raiders’ path is easy to follow across the rolling grassland of the Greenfields. A wide swath of grass is trampled down, but it’s impossible to determine the raiders’ numbers precisely. The path only confirms what characters already know: there were a lot of them, and they were a mix of humans, kobolds, and trained giant lizards. The tracks of the giant lizards are much deeper than those left by Krackle Jr.
After 6 hours of travel the trail leads northeast then bends towards the south to a more rugged region where steep-sided, rocky plateaus replace the gently rolling hills. The land between the plateaus is largely flat, broken only by outcroppings and wandering streams in steep-sided gullies. The plateaus jut fifty to one hundred feet above their surroundings and are difficult to climb except where rock falls and subsidence created natural ramps. The crumbling sides of the plateaus are dotted with caves and tumbled boulder fields.
Far in the distance, 50ft, you see the smoke from a solitary fire and the sound of voices carried on the wind. These people up ahead are squabbling about the best way to cook a pheasant. You can't tell how many they're until you get closer.
"I can look ahead if you want..." Krackle would offer as he slides down off the giant lizard. "I can be sneaky... I am pretty small." He would then look towards Zeds. "But if one of you want to do it that is fine, I will watch Jr."
"I am not sure we want to be around Junior when you're not here to keep him calm just yet," Zeds offers with a bit of a grin. "Besides, the sneaky stuff is kind of my thing..." ((Actually just a mere 1 better at stealth but *shrug*))
"Besides, if I'm caught I may need you to come riding in to my rescue."
That said, Zeds will do his best to sneak up to a position where he can spy on the squabblers and gauge how many there are and if it's smarter to take them out of avoid them... Once getting that info he will sneak back to the others and report.
Stealth: 16 plus 1 from Guidance for the minute it lasts?
Zeds sneaks ahead to find a small campfire with a man holding a dead pheasant. There are 3 men arguing whether they should boil the pheasant or just stick it into the fire. They are all armed and some are splattered with blood not their own. These men look similar to the brigands from last night.
Zeds half considers taking on or two while hiding from range... But he said earlier he had no desire to go on a suicide mission, would be foolhardy to take such risks so early into his adventuring career. Easing back out the way he came, Zeds returns to the others to advise them of what he saw.
"Just the three of them. We should be able to manage, specially if we get the drop on them. I'd suggest we try to keep one alive," Zeds says. "You know... for questioning..."
Stirling unstraps his shield and pulls out his crossbow. He will cast resistance on himself before going into the fight (incase I don't get to post again before we move in)
I like the idea of not killing them if we don't have to. If we can I'd like to take them to town to receive justice from the Mayor and his people. After we question them of corse. If that's not an option Lathander forgive me but maybe jr can get a free meal?
Zeds looks a bit... disconcerted and uncomfortable at Stirling's remarks. "I'm sorry but... Yeah, no. Not killing them really isn't an option right now. Not unless we avoid them altogether. We can't have them warning the others that we're following their tracks, we can't be running back and forth to Greenest any time we capture someone, and we can't be leading a bunch of hostages around as we go."
"Keeping one alive is just a... temporary thing. To get information from them. We're not really out here to arrest anyone... Are we?" Zeds is a bit unsure at the end, hoping he's not the only one who thinks they've entered into a kill or be killed operation here.
Look im no fool I know what you say is the way of it okay... I just don't like it, you know spareing their lives for info just to kill them after seems.. wrong.
Krackle would stand off to the side of the two men as the discussed the next course of action. "I think we kill any of then that try to kill us... and if someone wants to surrender, we could always ask questions and strip then of their clothes before tying them to a tree or something. We could then strap them to Jr. on the way back since we'll be coming through here." he would suggest. "I want to feed any of the dead ones to Jr though so make sure we take the weapons and armor off first. we can collect that stuff and put it into Jr's bags."
Stirling signs. No forgive me, you did not deserve to be snapped at. I've trained my whole life for this. It's just I was not expecting so much death but Lathander teaches us to help those in need and to attack our problems head on. These men are a problem for the town. From death comes new life. May the new dawn guide each day....
Stirling is talking to himself more then Zeb by the end of his rant. He turns to krackel
No Zeb is right leaving them alive would be too risky for the village we must consider all outcomes of our actions. But not be afraid to act. But I do like the idea of feeding Jr their bodies. He he. Munch Munch

Ironthar seems to be holding back anger and rage now that he has energy to hold grudge again.
”I’ll find those bastards and beat the information out of them. Goddamn raiders, no honor in their way. Come on folks, we got things to do.”
Ironthar walks out of the door.
Zeds follows the angry guy. He’s learned long ago it’s best not to stand in their way if you don’t need to…

Does someone scout ahead or do you want to arrive together?

Who ever sneaks in. Stirling will say a prayer for them right before they leave.
Lathander please guide this soul his approach.
The receiver of the prayer feels a warm glow in the spot Stirling touches.

“No, we don’t ask. We go in, kill two, capture one. They don’t ask either last night, they don’t have the luxury.”
Ironthar grabs his glaive and prepare for an attack..
”I’ll be conserving my energy today, last night I was to brash. Let’s get them quick.”
Stirling done with his existential crisis moves to follow. He offers Zeb the short sword he grabbed the night before.
I heard you wanted one of these. I was going to use but it felt Awkward when I gave it a few practice swings earlier
