As Tess begins her performance in the inn, the room fills with melodies and magical enhancements that captivate the audience. Her storytelling and musical skills, aided by minor illusions and thaumaturgy, create a sense of wonder and enchantment. The crowd is drawn into the tales, and some of them even join in, clapping to the beat or swaying with the rhythm. While Tess plays, the inn comes alive with a mix of curiosity, joy, and awe. Patrons gather around, some with food and drinks in hand, others enchanted by the magical display. Kierro's presence only enhances the performance with his light spells and encouragement, creating a memorable and heartwarming atmosphere. It's at this moment, as the crowd applauds Tess's final performance, that two figures enter the inn. Harq and Vedius have just arrived after their visit to the library. There's something about the performance that speaks to them. The warm camaraderie, the sense of being part of something greater, and the feeling of kindred spirits draw them toward the group enjoying Tess's music. All of you feel a pull towards each other, a sense of kinship, similar to the pull of the items that restored a part of your memories, but muted. It as if you belong together more than any of you belong to this world you find yourselves in.
Harq, an almost middle aged gnome walks in with a smile on his face as he hears the music. With mussed ginger, slightly greying, hair, and 'wearing' a clearly illusiary robe, he carries only two books. Walking towards the table where the bard who just performed has moved, he says, "Though I only caught the last bit, there is something unique about the melodies. It gives the feeling of home. May I ask from what part of the world you come?"
A relatively average height elf steps into the inn behind Harq. His floppy brown hair is swept out of his eyes with a quick flick of his head to reveal a pair of sharp hazel eyes. Wearing only a makeshift kilt, the elf's lithe muscles are on full display as he scans the room. Crawling up his right arm, black ink outlines an intricate serpent that almost seems to wind along the elf's arms as he moves. Noticing Harq step towards the bard, Vedius follows the gnome and stands quietly behind him. Noticing the gnome lead the conversation, Vedius looks around for a few spare chairs and brings them to the table for Harq and himself. Once seated, Vedius just observes the conversation between the gnome and the bard silently as he pulls out a scaled black mask and gently starts running his fingers over it.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Tess is beaming in the appreciation from the crowd, and smiles at the newcomers, apparently instantly recognizing the connection.
she is a stunningly beautiful red-haired girl of over 6’ in height, dressed in embroidered emerald green over leather armor. She plays an intricately decorated bandore, inlaid with decorated dragons.
“Thank you, yes.. It has been, a long, long time. my memories are faded, at best. But- these stories are from the old world.. I sense, you each are like my companions and I- seekers of lost memories and powers. I am Tess. I suppose Tess the bard, for now- although i was once far more, i sense.”. she looks at her companions to let them introduce themselves.
"I... yes... I guess that would be a fair assessment." Harq replies. "You may call me Harq. This is Vedius behind him. I was a researcher, and am still I guess. This 'old world' you mention," lowering his voice a bit, "would this be a literal different world?"
Yuno from her table notes the attire and the lack thereof of the newcomers. She wonders if these guys found themselves in the same position she did not too long ago. For now she stays where she is and listens in on the conversation.
Standing beside Tess is a young man with short, wavy brown hair and blue eyes, dressed in a simple tunic and robe. With a warm, friendly smile, he extends a handshake to the two newcomers. “Well met, friends. My name is Kierro; it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m from the same world as Tess here. I do believe it’s a different one than this one.”
More discreetly, he says to Harq and Vedius: “If you happen to have lost your memories and strengths, it is likely you awoke much like we did; without much in the way of clothing. I have more than a few garments I would be willing to share, if you need!” He reaches into a small satchel at his side, rustling through the contents.
Vedius nods at Kierro, returning his handshake and accepting the offer of clothing. He will attempt to find some kind of loose pants that he can slip on over his makeshift cover up. As he is looking, Vedius remarks, "I find wearing a top can make it unnecessarily difficult to attune to the energy of the environment." Once he has found what he is looking for, he steps off to a bathroom and returns wearing the pants.
"You all also lost your memories? Intriguing. When I awoke, there was a glowing blue shard that seemed to recover some of my memories and powers when I touched it. Did any of you have similar experiences?"

“A vendor in the marketplace in town had this instrument- he said it had been passed down in his family for generations. I know it was once mine. Graciously, he gave it to me, along with this robe. How it, or I, came to be here I know not- but I was flooded with vague memories when I touched it- and it brings to my fingers and voice songs I have no conscious memory of. We intend to work together to find our purpose- and recover what we can.*”. Tess says. She looks at the Bandore in wonder, gently brushing across the images of dragons. “Have either of you had visions of dragons?” she asks.
In response to the offer of clothing, Harq says, "Thank you, but under this illusion I do have a robe of rags. I am hoping to help this robe regain it's full robe-ness and will then drop this silly facade."
And then to Tess adds, "Memories of dragons no... Though I did have a memory of my... companion here."Saying this his head indicates Vedius, and his facial expression gives away that this memory may not have been the most pleasant. Then looking around says, "By chance, has anyone had a flash of me in our old lives?
He then ponders and asks, "So... is the feeling that we have all come to this world together? Might there be more?"
There is a spark of confusion and surprise in Vedius' face when he hears that Harq had a memory about him. A look of hurt flashes across Vedius' eyes as Harq's expression betrays the negative emotions surrounding the memory, but the elf quickly masks that.
Placating himself by thinking to himself that the gnome must have just misinterpreted something in the memory, Vedius pipes up in response to Tess' question. "No dragons, just him." Vedius gestures down towards his right arm where the snake tattoo is clearly marked on his skin. "This mark apparently represents a companion I had from a past life." Vedius pauses, as if reminiscing, before shrugging nonchalantly, "But that's the only memory I received."
In response to Harq's question Vedius replies, "It appears that we were all drawn to each other, as if by some external force. Perhaps if there are others like us they will also be drawn to us in a matter of time. Regardless, there is no way that this could be a coincidence. All of us having lost our memories and finding ourselves in the same place with an undeniable connection between us? Something larger is certainly at play here."

“I agree- it is no coinicidence, and there may be more. Well met, all of you. I intend to understand this and find that higher purpose. I feel connected to you all,, but- no specific memories. I hope we were allies! Anyhow welcome to the Shattered Dragon Inn- the food and tea is quite good. I am expecting a local bard to join me here soon- he was friendly, and seemed like a good source of information about the area.”. she smiles, and pauses to collect the coins generous listeners put in her case. “I also need to earn some coin to repay a loan.”. she smiles, winks and Yuno, and then looks at the curious coins as she collects them into her pouch.
Listening to the conversation quietly, one thing became clear to Yuno; Everyone here has found a similar item from their past and a fraction of their memories. They also woke up here randomly with no memory of their past, just like her. Yuno takes this moment to introduce herself at last. She stands up from her seat and greets Harq and Vedius. "Um yes... Hello. I am Yuno. Nice to meet both of you. Like everyone else here... I also woke up with no memory of my past and then... I found my sword and I remembered some things about myself. "
Yuno is 5ft 8. She has long brown hair , a fair complexion and dark blue eyes. She has her hair in a sideways pony-tail. Her voice is soft and meek. She wears a brown dress with a long skirt and a white apron. Overall, Yuno looks very unremarkable; like a town girl character that may appear once in passing in a story about a hero on a journey. The armor she is wearing and the twin swords on her belt though clash very much against her otherwise very mundane appearance.
She points to the weapons on her belt and says, "Only the bastard sword was originally mine. The dagger, I found." She gestures to Kierro and continues, "He gave me his Long Sword."
Stowing the bag once everyone has everything they need, Kierro has a seat next to Yuno and Tess. "I had a memory... when I retrieved the shard, I had a vision of the dawn, and of a guardian who I learned from alongside my service to Pelor, our world's sun. It brought me purpose and clarity..."
He nods in agreement with Tess and with Vedius. "Something bigger certainly must have caused us to emerge here in this new world. Perhaps someone... must be someone extremely powerful. Whatever it was, with more of us we stand stronger together. We'll be able to find the cause of this, I'm sure of it!"
“I feel much the same. We will figure this out together, if you all are willing. My friend the bard is named Baldrick. I am certain he would be excited about this situation. ”. She smiles and orders some stew and more hot tea, taking a seat at a table near the corner where she had been playing.
Sergeant Kaela led Naivara through the charming streets of Greenest. The town had an inviting ambiance, and the quaint buildings created a cozy atmosphere. As they neared their destination, the sounds of laughter and music grew louder, drawing their attention to the Shattered Dragon Inn. Stepping inside the inn, the warmth of the hearth and the lively chatter of patrons greeted them. The room was bathed in the soft glow of firelight, creating a comfortable, homey ambiance. Tess's enchanting performance added a touch of magic to the surroundings, enhancing the atmosphere. As Naivara entered the inn, a shared recognition passed between the group, an unspoken understanding that she was another who shared in their mystical connection.
Naivara smiles and bids farewell to Sergeant Kaela before looking around the inn. Not wholly comfortable with the idea of just joining up with a group of random strangers, once the Sergeant leaves, she stands there and people watches.
“Another of our group has entered” Tess says to the others, nodding towards the newcomer. “Ill ask her to join us.”. Tess smiles and stands, nimbly weaving across the bar, a tall, beautiful red-haired girl, dressed in emerald green embroidered clothes, carrying a lute-like instrument. “Hello, and welcome to the Shattered Dragon. I am Tess. I believe you are one of us- come, join us and tell your tale..”
“Thank you Kierro” she replies. “Been a long time since i did that”..
