Still half-imagining things, all it took is for a sudden brick coming from the roof of where they're standing to stop him from dazing out; Reflexively, he punches it and causes it to explode, before snapping back to reality as of it. Then he notices Leeta bolting past him at the speed of light, rushing to save... someone that he cannot see in the depths. And then he sees Rowarin, his new, temporary friend, along with the youngest of the pack with his glorious falcon.
It seems like they have the same idea, albeit they too are struggling to look for survivors until all three of them are able to locate some survivors faster than he can. Right before he decide to abandon it to his 'comrades', he then hears Daisy's bossy, but sweet and supportive voice, telling him what is he waiting for and pushed him to finish the job instead of being a coward all this while. Instinctively, though he wished he'd be able to direct Mizu, Leeta and Rowarin properly, Rixi decides to lunge for the half-elf man, thinking that Rowarin and Mizu might not have the strength to carry him, and turns back without even waiting for his teammates. "Madade wanai (まだではない, Not yet). The living are not done with you."
Whilst he runs out with the unconscious man slung over his right shoulder, his left fist ignites in flames again; whatever debris falls from above is instantly destroyed as he delivers a series of flaming punches that blows them to smithereens in the midst of his exit. It was also at this moment that his dark red emblem slowly shifts from a brighter sheen of red and then back to its solid silver coat again, despite the fact that he fears that he may have done something against his oath.

Mizu rushes to pick up Twig, looking to Mina or Kullogal to help with Telron since everyone else seems to have grabbed someone. Hopefully there aren't too many people for them to carry out, "Over here!" He shouts, his voice louder than most have ever heard from him.
Once someone has successfully grabbed Telron, he quickly follows after Leeta. Seeing how the roof has opened up, giving them an exit whilst blocking the way they'd entered from, he casts Jump on himself and then leaps up through the hole above them. Hopefully saving him from having to spend time navigating the rubble.
(Rolling Acrobatics in case Jump doesn't help... 14)
If he makes it out, he'll move Twig to a safe location and then come back to see if anyone else needs help. He's more than willing to jump in and out of the hole a few times if it means helping everyone else get out faster.
(OOC: dex save: 14 / Str save to carry Akyan: nat20! (23) / Acrobatics check: 27)
It takes a moment for Leeta to realize that the hand she grabbed is dark-skinned. "Akyan! Is that you? You're alive! Hang on, I'll get you out of here!" With surprising strength, she pulls him free from the mass of vines and honoring her training and natural nimbleness, she dashes away, carrying the drow to safety. As she does this, her mind drifts for an instant to her mentor and, contrary to the vision she experirnced before the combat, Leeta is now quite sure he would be proud. A tiny smile appears on her face as she enjoys the rush of self-confidence.
After leaving Akyan with Twig, Leeta - like Mizu - turns back to help the rest of the party and any survivors they might have found.
Kulogall feels the rubble hit him on the shoulder, he winces. He strains and looks, the others are too fast to rush to the remaining survivors. All that is left now is to escape. He nods to Mizu, running over to help with Telron, using his other hand to grab hold of Mina, saying “Don’t worry about me. I can use magic to get me out, let me help you! We need to get out of here, now!” In his mind, he thinks of what he will do if he slips or falls, how to tap into the font of magic if he fails..

As the others start pulling people to safety, Mina can't understand why fey blood was so important to this woman. She walks over gingerly to the husk of Rose, and while Soma is pecking out her eyes, she looks to the whole of the woman to try and to understand what was going on.

(I just realized Rowarin hasn't posted either... I'll move it forward anyway since it's been a while since I posted. I will bot Rowarin slightly because I assume he would do this anyway...)
Despite her tiny frame, Leeta miraculously carries Akyan up and out of the pit placing him a somewhat safe distance away from the pit before diving back in. Mizu, while able to jump out, is unable to avoid all of the falling debris as he carries Twig to safety. (Take 5 damage) Still unfazed by this damage, the young genasi accompanies his mini monk friend back down to save any other living victims.
Seeing Rixian grab the half-elf man, Rowarin takes initiative to carry the woman out of danger as well. Leeta, who's swift feet and strong body got her out and back down before the others even lifted a survivor, is able to help Rowarin with the woman.
Quick to assess the situation but just a bit slow to act, Kullogal tries to help Mizu with Telron while dragging Mina out as well. Unfortunately, in his rush he ends up stumbling a slightly if not for Mina's support, he would have fallen back down the staircase of rubble. (Kullogal, take 4 damage)
Now back in the forest, the sunlight shines down on you through the leaves of the branches above. You notice that as soon as the vines erupting from the holes come into this light, the growing slows to a halt. Unlike before, these vines don't turn to ash in the sunlight. Instead they just fall still.
From where you stand, you can see the tomb's entrance where you'd expected it to be. Though you note that even the tunnel you entered through seems to have caved in, however it will be easy for you to navigate around and back to the path you entered the forest on.
When everyone makes it out of the tomb, Leeta is finally able to stop and catch her breath. Even though she is strong and energetic, that rushed escape had taken a lot out of her, and the mini monk was starting to feel tired. However, she didn’t rest for more than a minute or two, because as soon as she laid eyes on the survivors and saw how malnourished some of them looked, she grabbed her waterskin and rations and distributed it among them. "Here. Lilliana at the Stonedog prepared this. Try a little, will you? It will make you feel better, and you need all the energy you can get to return to town," she says, trying to make them feel as comfortable as possible, and remind them that their captivity was finally over.
But... was the nightmare really over? Stepping a little away from the survivors—so they wouldn’t hear her—and walking up to Mizu and the rest, she asks quietly, "Do you think this is it? That Rose is really dead? She was powerful enough to cause all this damage while entombed here. Shouldn't we... I don’t know... burn down this tomb to make sure she won’t come back?"
Once back outside, Rowarin places the survivor on the ground and rests his hands on his knees, the beads of sweat trickling down his face. He turns to the rest and eyes everyone over, and will walk over to anyone in need of aid and cast Cure Wounds. healing 12 hit points (will repeat this up to 3 times if there are those who need it).
Panting slightly from the fatigue of the recent battle, followed with the swift exit, it takes Rowarin a moment to regulate his breathing so he can speak, think for that matter. Turning to Leeta, he responds "I am not entirely sure. The tomb looks pretty sealed up now, not sure a fire would work as you'd hope."
Rowarin will step closer to the viney entrance, and attempt to investigate the area to see if burning it down (or forced explosion perhaps) would actually work: Investigation:11 "Hmmm - like I said, it's hard to know for sure. I guess there isn't any harm in us taking action rather than inaction?"turning to the group, puzzling the question over to see if others have input.
Barely standing after using the last of his strength to hoist the unconscious man to safety, Rixi gently sets him down far away from the tombs itself, on a flat area where the grass grows fairly tall. His first instinct is to check his pulse as he runs his warm palms through the man's throat and chest; He does find it, but it's really weak. And he's shivering. He can easily feel the unnoticable vibrations of his arms, his legs, and even his face. It reminds him of Daisy when she almost drowned in the frozen lakes of Icewind Dale; He still remembers the edges of her beautiful face turning pale blue when he and the rest had to recover whilst she laid in bed close to the fire for a week. Breathing, he kneels down and causes his palms to glow a warm shade of red. "Daijoubu. (大丈夫) You're gonna make it; You'll live to see the light of day again. I'm here for you." He whispers to him whilst he once again heats up, except this time, the temperature of his palms are akin to a warm heater rather than a fiery blaze; The voices of all of his teammates have left him be. He wasn't in range to hear Leeta, but he could definitely hear Rowarin asking if he needed to be cured of his injuries. "Damesho. (だめしょ, Not a chance) If anything, this man right here is priority." He tells him. The wounds he suffered aren't that severe, but once again as the Aasimar asks everyone if they should burn the cave down, Rixi decides not to think twice on that matter as he stands up and eyes the entrance of that dread place one last time.
Once Rowarin steps a good distance away, Rixi's double-bladed glaive ignites one last time as he plunges it to the ground, causing a distant eruption that pretty much blows up what remains of the cave, hoping that it would be enough to seal away Kurobara for good and prevent her from committing more heinous crimes in the future. Unlike the previous times, there wasn't an ounce of hesitation coming from the former leader of the Shifters.
"Let's go back." Was all that he could say as he turns back regardless if everyone is ready to carry the survivors to safety or not, not wanting to look back anymore. Though once again, as he carries the man he tried to stabilize, he's asking himself this: Why hasn't his cursed consumed him, when he in fact saved the wrong person? Why hasn't he changed?

(gonna wait to respond until Mina and Kullogal post. But wanted to specify that all of the survivors are currently unconscious. Anyone who wants to could do a Med check to see if they can tell why they haven't woken up. It makes sense for the two half elves to be unconscious in their current state of health, but Akyan, Twig, and maybe even Telron don't look like they should be in a coma.)

Mizu blinks when Leeta asks if they should burn the vines, then turns to look at the now-still flora. This seems like the end. Soma is definitely satisfied that the witch is dead. However, he does understand Leeta's concern, and that dark part of him wants to watch it all burn regardless of whether or not there is a chance of her returning.
Before he can answer, Rixian takes care of erasing what remains of the cave. He blinks again, his expression as blank as usual as he says, "I think that should suffice."
Then he turns to Twig and Telron, moving to lift the prior off the ground. He opens his mouth to say they should go back, only for Rixian to say those exact words first. So, Mizu just nods and looks to Leeta, expecting her to pick up Telron this time... After all, the two of them are the smallest in the group, it makes more sense for them to see to the children (though he'd never say that out loud).
Soma flies ahead, letting out a triumphant screech as she swoops past Rixian and on ahead. She'll do her best to let the townsfolk know that the danger is over... even if all she really does is make a lot of noise and possibly just irritate whoever is walking around.
As they walk, it does occur to Mizu that some of these survivors don't look like they should still be asleep. Why won't they wake up?
Of course, medicine isn't his strong suit, so he has no idea. Perhaps someone in town can help them out. So long as they are alive, that is as much as Mizu can ask for now.
After realising that the survivors are unconscious and not just asleep, as she thought initially, Leeta mimics Mizu and tries to ascertain why they are not waking up. (ooc: Medicine 11)
After composing himself, and providing the necessary healing, Rowarin notices that the survivors are not waking up. He steps over to one of the unconscious and tries to sense if there is a reason why. Medicine:7
Rowarin will turn to the group and say loudly, "These should be waking up by now I would have thought, I can't seem to see any injury or lasting effect to keep them unconscious. My limited medical training isn't really of help here, perhaps we need to get someone from town to look?"
Rowarin is successful in curing the wounds of the survivors, though they still do not wake up and it does not heal malnourishment.
Before anyone can object, Rixian lights the ruins on fire, thoroughly destroying the collapsed tomb. The vines make no effort to regrow even after the inferno subsides.
Ready to get out of the woods, the party picks up the survivors again, and starts the journey back towards the town. Wondering why none of them, even Akyan and Twig aren't waking up, some of you wrack your brains for a reason they are still asleep. However, only Leeta seems to conclude anything. Perhaps when they were encased in vines, Rose administered some kind of toxin to her victims to put them in a coma while she harvested her blood? Rowarin did cure their wounds, but cure wounds...well... only cures wounds. It won't remove poison.
As they begin to march towards Withermore, the mini monk halts all of a sudden. "Wait! I think Rose might have poisoned them and this is why they won't wake up. That horrible woman must have done that so she could extract their blood easier. Can any of you remove poisons? Rixian, perhaps? I hear paladins can do such things!"
(ooc: In case we don't have enough magic to cure them all, Leeta is proficient with the herbalism kit, so could she produce an atitoxin? Not sure what roll this would be, so I'm leaving a d20 roll just in case: 11. +0 if it is INT, +7 if it is Medicine... )
Kulogall bends down and examines Akyan, Twig and Telron, thinking of any magic that he has seen in this manner, to hold one unconscious, any spell, or any poison that he’s ever encountered? ”Why are they not waking? How deeply seated is her evil spell in them?”

As Rixi eyes the horizon, wanting to move on so he can finish his personal quest, all it took was for Leeta's voice to catch his attention. Oh yeah. He does, of course. Paladins like him, no matter what subclass they are, have the ability to get rid of poisons themselves. And since he hasn't used it in so long, now's the time to redeem himself.
"Wakatta. (わかった, Understood) I'll handle this. Then we can go back." He gently responds to the tiny monk. As he kneels down next to Akyan, Telron and Twig, his flame-imbued palms light up again whilst he causes the three unconscious bodies to glow a warm reddish hue, hoping that whatever poison is inflicting will be swiftly eliminated, just like how he had to heal Raiden after he lost a one-sided fight against Tenebris, who is a poison master himself.

Mizu sets Twig down upon hearing Leeta's explanation. Good grief, why hadn't he thought of that? Poison... His eyes grow distant for a moment before he gives a slight shake of his head, pulling himself back to the present.
He watches silently as Rixian moves to heal the three whose names they know, then looks to the rest of the survivors. He doesn't have much medical knowledge, so he won't be much help here. Mentally he tells Soma to head towards the Stonedog. Hopefully the people there have grown used to seeing her and would be able to tell she's there as a precursor to their arrival.
Then he just waits to see if the ones Rixian treated come to.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
(Spending 15 points, 5 for each of the trio, Rixi uses Lay on Hands on Telron, Akyan and Twig)
