Tine absorbed the barkeeper's words with a sympathetic gaze, understanding the weight of an unfulfilled promise in the eyes of Morowyn and Horonomus. The revelation of Saxon's connection added a layer of complexity to their quest, and Tine couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness for the siblings.
As Wizbang expressed his surprise and bid their benefactor farewell, Tine nodded, acknowledging the fleeting emotions that lingered in the tavern's air. The falling snow outside seemed to echo the bittersweet nature of the tale.
"Indeed, it's time," Tine replied in a hushed tone, her eyes glancing toward the window where snowflakes danced in the air. The warmth of the tavern would soon give way to the chill of the mountain, and Tine felt a renewed sense of purpose. With a final glance at the reserved table beneath Snowbane, she rose from her seat, her lute in hand.
As the party prepared to depart, Tine couldn't shake the lingering emotions of the tale, but a determined gleam in her eyes reflected her readiness to face the challenges ahead. She joined her companions, the camaraderie of their shared journey forging ahead into the snowy expanse beyond the tavern's walls. The hum of a new tune playing in her throat as she began to compose a tale unheard of before.

"I think we best get going then!" He would add as he shivers to himself a bit looking out the windows. "I don't know that I am ready to head out into the cold.. but it's probably time."
"We can believe anything really. I saw Horonomus and Morowyn with my own eyes. I don't recall seeing this Saxon Cuthbert fellow. I don't know where Vermeillon is either but I know the mountain and her secrets are not easily discovered without effort, " Jasper finally speaks standing up from the table as Daisy the badger, a head and shoulders taller than Wizbang, follows beside her Goliath companion. "Good time as any? Snow might be worse on the mountain but if we stick together we'll make basecamp by nightfall, " he nods confidently leading the way.
"Thank you for all of your information nice lady! Have a good day!" Wizbang would exclaim before scampering over to Daisy and giving her a pat on the head. He would then begin to make his way towards the stable "I got to go get George! he won't believe the day we had last night!" He would say with a smile as he made his way out into the cold.
"It's your choice but other than the dog the horses won't make it beyond basecamp further north," Jasper answers. "You going to leave them there? There's no shelter nor guarantee that someone or something isn't going to take them if they're left behind there, " he explains further hefty a heavy backpack that was on the ground by his feet onto his back.
Standing Jasper is just under 8 feet tall. He's not very board but looks strong and capable. On his hips are two hand axes and another weapon, a long bow with arrows, he also carries with him.

"Yay! George can come!" Wizbang exclaims before a small frown spreads across his face. "but it sounds like maybe the other mounts will need to stay here..." He would turn to look towards his companions. "Do you think they will be happy here for a bit? I mean I guess it is probably warmer here... and if you want I can tip the stablekeeper to make sure they get extra pets and treats."
Tine, her lute strapped to her back, listened to Jasper's words with a thoughtful expression. The mention of the mountain's secrets and the challenges that lay ahead resonated with her, and she could sense the determination in the Goliath's confident nod. As Wizbang expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, Tine smiled, appreciating the goblin's positive energy. She observed him patting Daisy, the badger, with affection before making his way toward the stable. The idea of George, his trusty companion, joining the journey brought a small, genuine smile to Tine's face. Umkhonzi's inquiry about riding or walking prompted Jasper's pragmatic response. Tine, bundled up against the cold, considered the logistics of their travel. The decision to leave the horses at basecamp for their safety made sense, and she nodded in agreement.
The description of Jasper's imposing figure and the array of weapons at his disposal painted a picture of a seasoned adventurer. Tine respected the practicality of the decision but couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for the horses left behind. As Umkhonzi suggested tipping the stablekeeper for extra care, Tine nodded in agreement. "Indeed, a little extra warmth and attention will be a comfort for them," she added, her eyes reflecting both the practicality and the empathy that guided their choices in the face of the impending mountainous journey.

Wizbang would give the barkeeper one last hard look as he considered what she told him about Saxon and his relation to the owners of the tavern...

Umkhonzi would like to make one as well. Just waiting for the DM to give the go-ahead. 😀
There's no roller on the phone version of this apparently, so I rolled it outside the post.

To Tine the bar keeper seems to be truthful.
To Umkhonzi the bar keeper seems easily swayed by a good story and a dragon's head! She could think they're telling the truth but you're suspicious.

Tine just smiles as she looks at her companions as she took one last look around the bar "Are we ready to brave the weather?"
