Aamira will back up until she's out of the cloud. "Some kind of magic is at work here. Since our goal is either the tavern or merchants guild, should we avoid this street and continue on?"
She'll glance at Antar. "Can you control the position of that fog?"
Antar sighs in frustration. "I might have been able, maybe, if I'd met my Welee a decade or two sooner. I've certainly seen Her do it; but either it's a power of the jinneyeh no mortal can hope to master, or it's a secret beyond my degree at this point. I can choose the point the mist begins to spread from, but after that it's fixed. And it seemed most likely that any ambushers ... at least the first group ... would be before us." He points forward into the thick billows. "I'll be able to keep it up for an hour or so if I don't try to do much else besides walk. And talk. I could talk a desert hyena's ear off and never break my focus enough to notice it was there."
“I find it best when confronted with a trap that the best way to approach is straight through.” Eirik continues on their path, walking down the street despite the possible danger.

playing Jin Wei, human (Kara-tur) way of the Four Elements Monk in the Princes of the Apocalypse
The party is able to advance without incident to the tavern, but are never able to shake the unsettling feeling that they are being watched.
The tavern itself is modest, nestled in an unremarkable alley, with a Chinese architecture exterior and a pair of large bouncers seated on benches out front. One of them is an orc, the other is one of the largest humans you’ve ever seen.
Given the time of day, there is no line to get in, and the bouncers look bored.
Antar moves forward towards the tavern door, his madcap poise magically restored. He grins at the bouncers while pointing out the rest of the group to them. "Hey, guys, we got some business! A few good friends of mine I just ran into out by our sign on Capitol Street. They're gonna put in a word for me with the Mercenaries', so treat 'em good, huh?"

Aamira will smile and nod. "Thanks for the clarification." She'll turn to the party. "Any suggestions?"

Aamira will follow the party warily, sparing a glance back toward the mysterious street before entering the tavern.
